The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1916: Chapter 1916: Too Lazy (Part 3)

Yang Ruxin stared at that letter for a long time, finally finding that there wasn’t a single mistake in all the characters.

”Yang Baihe is, after all, a woman, and she has a Scholar nephew. Isn’t it quite normal for her to get engaged?” Gu Qingheng couldn’t help but laugh as he looked at Yang Ruxin’s expression. ”Moreover, although you’ve severed ties with the old family, many still see you all as one. So, as long as Yang Baihe isn’t too ambitious, finding a suitable husband shouldn’t be difficult.”

”You’re right. I just wonder who the unlucky guy is that she’s taken a fancy to.” Yang Ruxin also laughed and shook her head. ”Mengmeng is really something; can’t she clarify a bit?”

”I think that girl did it on purpose, purposely trying to make you anxious and guessing.” Gu Qingheng stroked his chin, having a good understanding of his little sister-in-law’s temperament.

”I think so too.” Yang Ruxin chuckled, ”Then I just won’t guess. There’ll probably be a second letter soon anyway...”

Just as they were talking, Dangdang flew in.

Dangdang is a kite, and was previously one of the smallest members in the gang Xiaohei gathered. This time, it was actually sent out as a messenger.

Sure enough, the letter Dangdang brought said the future brother-in-law was none other than Ma Laiwang.

”How could it be him?” Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but shake her head.

”I have some impression of Ma Laiwang, a very honest person. His looks... not bad either...” Gu Qingheng searched his memory for Ma Laiwang’s character, ”Just doesn’t seem to like talking much.”

”Exactly.” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”He even worked as a laborer when we were building the small house. He’s a good person, but his mother... haha...” Pausing for a moment, ”Do you know why Ma Laiwang is so old and still hasn’t got a wife?”

”Is he that old?”

”Seems like he’s twenty-four or twenty-five this year.”

”Not very young indeed, but why so? In theory, now that everyone in the village is following you, as long as they’re not lazy, each household should have enough money... getting a wife shouldn’t be difficult...”

”It’s because his mother is too lazy.” Yang Ruxin’s expression seemed a bit complicated. ”I’ve heard that when matchmakers went to his house, they were driven away by the smell at the door...”

”Is it that exaggerated?” Gu Qingheng couldn’t help laughing, ”How bad must it smell?”

”Although I haven’t been to her house, I’ve heard Aunt Hehua and the others chatting about it before, and it’s definitely not exaggerated.” Yang Ruxin smacked her lips, ”I heard that his dad, Ma Qiang, has beaten his wife countless times, but the Zhai Family woman just won’t change...”

”If the wife won’t do it, can’t the man tidy up a bit?” Gu Qingheng frowned, ”So, that means Ma Qiang isn’t diligent either.”

”Haha, your awareness is quite high.” Yang Ruxin pinched Gu Qingheng’s cheek, ”However, everyone’s mindset is that men work outside while women manage the home. Ma Qiang’s thought is that he’ll farm, work, and earn money, while his wife tidies up the house, does laundry, and cooks. Even if he doesn’t like it, he won’t do housework, because it would feel lacking in dignity.”

”A man’s dignity isn’t compromised by cooking a meal or washing clothes...”

”Alright, let’s not talk about this anymore.” Yang Ruxin waved her hand, ”I’m curious now... How did Yang Baihe end up with this Ma Laiwang... Speaking of which, Ma Laiwang is actually related to Ma Laifu, they’re of the same generation. If it really happens, Yang Baihe would become the aunt of Little Dog and Wang Baozhu...”
