The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1904: Chapter 1904: I Trust You (2)

Nanny Geng looked at Xiao Jin and realized that her advice had gone completely unheard, so she sighed quietly and said nothing more.

”Recently, try to find an eligible aristocratic family girl, Yunyun should be establishing a consort.” Xiao Jin glanced at Nanny Geng, ”June is almost here, it’s time to hold the lotus appreciation banquet.” Even if the Emperor is still flourishing, having a son for Yunyun would be a guarantee.

”Yes.” Nanny Geng nodded.

Royal Study Room.

Yang Ruxin entered and was about to kneel, but Emperor Xuanjing stopped her: ”You don’t need to do that from now on. Now, tell me the situation.”

”The Crown Princess Consort took care of the Crown Prince for an hour, and the poison in the Crown Prince’s body showed no change.” Yang Ruxin was very pleased, as she disliked the custom of kneeling upon meeting someone, ”However, after Concubine Feng took care of the Crown Prince for an hour, the poison in the Crown Prince’s body began to intensify...”

”You mean to say that Concubine Feng harmed the Crown Prince?” Emperor Xuanjing’s eyebrows immediately furrowed, and his tone became unfriendly.

”Your Majesty, it cannot be said like this.” Yang Ruxin shook her head, ”We can only say that there are factors inducing the secretion of poison from the poisonous insect inside the Crown Prince, but we cannot say she poisoned him.”

”What are those inducing factors?” Emperor Xuanjing took a heavy breath.

”It’s this.” Yang Ruxin gestured towards Eunuch Ping.

Eunuch Ping took a step forward and placed the tray in his hands on the imperial desk, revealing a sachet embroidered with mandarin ducks.

”Is this Feng Concubine’s?”

Yang Ruxin nodded: ”This is the sachet that Feng Concubine usually carries with her...” Yang Ruxin opened the sachet and took out an incense cake, ”This is a sandalwood cake, which is typically harmless, but the issue is, this cake has been soaked in the extract of Lingxiang grass...”

Emperor Xuanjing’s expression grew more and more severe as he listened, and finally, he couldn’t help but slam his hand on the imperial desk: ”This is outrageous.”

Yang Ruxin quickly bowed and stepped back two steps, understanding the emperor’s anger. The imperial authority was unquestionable, yet his son was poisoned right under his nose and continuously provoked to facilitate the poisoning, which was a challenge to imperial power.

Of course, there was also a part of a father’s heartache for his son.

Nonetheless, she had completed her part of the task; now, all that was left was to induce the poisonous insect out of the Crown Prince’s body. How to deal with those involved? That was not something a mere common woman like her could comment on.

And the Emperor obviously wouldn’t allow her to get involved in dealing with Concubine Feng’s matter.

After leaving the Royal Study Room, Yang Ruxin was taken back to the East Palace and was to remain in the palace until the poisonous insect was extracted from the Crown Prince’s body.

Fortunately, Gu Qingheng was not at home, so it didn’t matter if she stayed in the palace. As for Yu Qingge and Wei Yao, there was no need to worry about them; the two girls had strong survival skills.

”Xinxin, will I... be okay?” The Crown Prince did not know the truth of the matter. Seeing Yang Ruxin return, he happened to wake up and asked what seemed like a somewhat childish question.

In fact, besides her, only the Emperor and Medical Officer Hen knew the true condition of the Crown Prince’s body. The Crown Prince himself was not aware.

”Do you trust me?” Yang Ruxin raised an eyebrow slightly.

”I do.” The Crown Prince smiled, ”From the moment I decided to bring Gu Qingheng to my side, I trusted him, and you are the person he trusts the most, so I trust you.”

”Hehe...” Yang Ruxin chuckled, ”Your Highness, you’re too sincere.”
