The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1651: Chapter 1651: Shut Up (2)

Ever since Yang Baichuan was injured by Yang Baifu, he became extremely silent, almost invisible. He stayed close to Feng Caie, hardly ever leaving her side, and when it came to his eldest son, he was obedient to a fault.

Seeing Feng Caie enter the kitchen, he hurried in as well to help with the fire and assist her.

Inside, Yang Anshi felt deeply troubled, vigorously hitting the kang mat with a broom handle, but said nothing, while the dust she stirred up choked Yang Baihe, who was beside her, making her cough.

”It’s a sin, they want me dead, old lady...” Yang Anshi shouted, unclear and confused.

”Cough, cough...” Yang Baihe’s cough grew louder.

Yang Rusong pretended not to hear, and continued to put up the spring couplets with his two younger brothers.

Yang Peili also acted as if he hadn’t heard and went over to help his grandson stick couplets.

When someone passed by, Yang Rusong greeted them openly and warmly.

After all, being a Scholar, even though he was overshadowed by Guan Qingshu, he was still respected and feared, so the villagers were a bit flattered, yet they smiled and greeted him.

Yang Peili was initially a bit ashamed, but seeing his eldest grandson’s calm demeanor, he relaxed.

With all the couplets at the courtyard gate pasted and the Fu character put up, Yang Rusong got his two younger brothers to read the characters on the couplets.

The two couldn’t recognize a single character, but Yang Rusong didn’t mind, he taught them directly on the spot, and even made them draw the characters on the ground with sticks. Whoever could remember more than three characters would have dumplings tonight, otherwise they’d go hungry.

Yang Baihe couldn’t take it anymore, she stepped out directly: ”Rusong, is it your turn to run this family now?” She was angry at how close this nephew was with Yang Ruxin, always talking about how great the eldest cousin’s side was, which infuriated her.

Yang Rusong furrowed his brow: ”Why not let Auntie run the family?”

”I...” Yang Baihe immediately backed down, she could eat, but running a family was not her thing. Besides, running a family was tiring, she wouldn’t volunteer for the headache.

”Auntie, you’re not that young anymore, the family isn’t like it used to be, all the chores are done by someone, and you’ve just got to eat.” The more Yang Rusong interacted with Yang Ruxin, the less he appreciated the ways of his own family, and the more he admired the atmosphere in his uncle’s household, ”You should learn to do housework too, or it’ll be hard to get married in the future.”

”Yang Rusong, what do you mean?” Yang Baihe flared up, ”Are you cursing me? You’ve really got some nerve...”

”Am I wrong?” Yang Rusong raised an eyebrow slightly.

”You...”

”Shut up!” Yang Peili suddenly shouted, ”What’s wrong with what Rusong said?”

Yang Baihe shrank her neck in fear.

”Spoiled you before, and look at what you’ve become.” Yang Peili glared angrily at Yang Baihe, ”In the future, you’ll take turns cooking with your second sister-in-law. If you can’t, learn, if you can’t learn, don’t eat...”

”Darn it...” Suddenly a not-very-clear voice came from inside the house.

”Just shut up.” Yang Peili stepped into the house, shouting at Yang Anshi, who was hitting the kang mat, ”You really can’t stop stirring up trouble, can you? Do you really want to drive everyone away before you’re satisfied?”
