The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1652: Chapter 1652: Celebrating the New Year Together (3)

Yang Anshi stood there, mouth agape and arm raised, stunned. After a while, she finally lowered her arm, the force had diminished significantly, not continuing to shake the dust off the bed, and her mouth snapped shut, looking at Yang Peili in disbelief, ”Yang Peili, I’ve given you children...”

”Anshi, I’m warning you for the last time, stop causing trouble.” Yang Peili suddenly reached out and snatched the broomstick from Yang Anshi’s hand and threw it aside, ”If you want to stay in the Yang Family, then be honest, if you still want to behave like before, then go back to your An Family... Look at what you’ve turned the children into.”

Yang Anshi’s face twitched slightly, but she ultimately said nothing more and drooped her eyelids. She really wanted to say, are the children just hers? Unfortunately, she dared not say anything now; if she was divorced, her only option would be to jump into the river, and the An Family wouldn’t even let her through their doors.

Yang Ruxin was unaware of what happened at the old house; at the moment, she was with everyone making dumplings. Here in the north, the New Year dumplings not only have meat and vegetables but are also filled with Copper Coin, dates, peanuts, tofu, and such, each with its own meaning...

On the thirtieth day of the year, one must worship the heavens and earth to bring the ”year” into the home, commonly known as bringing in the year. After bringing in the year, one must be careful with words and actions, for example, not throwing out garbage, as it would be discarding fortune, and once married, daughters cannot visit their parental home after bringing in the year...

After that comes staying up all night, waiting for New Year’s Day and the second day for mutual New Year’s greetings. On the evening of the second day, there will be another ritual to see off the ”year,” commonly known as seeing off the year. The third day is when married daughters return to their parental home.

Last year there weren’t as many people at home, but now the family is considered prosperous with a great estate. The outside shops and workshops are all closed, so everyone has returned, even Yu Qingge came over under the banner of accompanying her grandfather, which annoyed Fang Tianze because he couldn’t come over.

As the ancients believed, the more people, the more fortune, so the New Year’s Eve dinner had as many as eight tables, with both masters and servants joyfully sitting together.

The only regret was that Gu Qingheng and Gu Yao were not present.

Luckily, everyone knew they were safe and could eat New Year’s dumplings, so there wasn’t much worry.

The dinner was sumptuous, each table had ten dishes and a soup, but everyone’s greatest interest was in the dumplings, with one person shouting they found a Copper Coin, another found a date...

Overall, it was rarely as lively.

As everyone ate happily, suddenly, from a distance came the roar of a tiger, immediately followed by a howl of a wolf, the sounds much closer than before.

”It’s Dabai and Xiaobai.” Yang Ruxin immediately stood up and turned to run outside.

Among the people, some had seen the mother and child, some had only heard but not seen them, and some had only seen Xiaobai, but regardless of who, everyone ran together outside.

Sure enough, in the night, two white figures were running from afar, getting closer.

”Dabai, Xiaobai.” The first to rush over were Sini and Xiaofeng, waving their arms joyfully.

Dabai and Xiaobai were in front in the blink of an eye, licking the little ones’ faces, making everyone giggle.

”I sent you messages to come back for the New Year, thought you hadn’t received them.” Yang Ruxin walked over and patted the mother and child’s heads, ”Since you’re here now, hurry back to eat.” Speaking, she waved to the Snow Wolf and Ink Wolf coming along behind, signaling them to follow.
