The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1517: Chapter 1517: The Truth (5)

”So you mean that it wasn’t Su Da who refused to take her back, but rather she herself was unwilling to return?” Yang Ruxin’s brows furrowed even more.

Liu Amei nodded, feeling Yang Ruxin’s question to be somewhat odd.

Yang Ruxin exhaled deeply: ”This morning, before dawn, Erya... she died from a collision outside the tent...”

”What?” Liu Amei’s eyes instantly widened, then she let out a bitter laugh, ”It’s understandable that she wouldn’t want to come back. But how could that girl be so despairing?”

”What exactly happened?” Yang Ruxin’s voice became colder.

”I got married to Su Da last autumn. Back then, we had our own land and property, parents-in-law were well, and my own parents and brother were all alive. He (Su Da) was pretty nice. But who could have expected... after just half a year, Governor’s Office City fell...” Liu Amei wiped away her tears, ”Originally, our whole family hid in the cellar, but when those Mongol soldiers came to dig around and search, Su Da pushed his own parents out, and later, he pushed me out as well... Somehow, Erya managed to get out too, and then the Mongol army didn’t search any further...”

Yang Ruxin’s eyes widened in an instant; this man was a beast.

”Despite suffering a great deal, I still longed to return home, and so did Erya...” Liu Amei started weeping again, ”But who knew... who knew that Su Da bringing me back was only to torment me, to slave away like an ox and a horse, he even wanted me to start catering to guests like the ladies in the brothel to earn money... I didn’t agree, so he hit me...”

Su Da never felt there was anything wrong with ordering his wife around. Although the Crown Prince decreed not to look down upon or despise women, that was his own wife, what man wouldn’t beat his wife? As for making her cater to guests, considering she had been with many men already, earning a bit of Silver on the side didn’t seem wrong to him.

It just never occurred to him that what he considered normal had become an unforgivable sin in the eyes of others, earning him a beating and even getting grabbed by a hawk and lifted into the air. How could he be so unjustly treated?

Right at this moment, two soldiers came over and, upon seeing Yang Ruxin, they quickly saluted respectfully.

”If you are looking for Su Da to interrogate him, then hurry back, I’ve already sent Xiaohei to deliver him.” Yang Ruxin pointed to the sky, where Xiaohei had not yet flown away, still circling in the air while clutching Su Da.

The two soldiers saluted Yang Ruxin and then hurried back to report, for they certainly did not have the speed of the Hai Dongqing called Xiaohei. But what kind of experience must it be to be clutched by a hawk? It probably wouldn’t feel too good...

After fainting mid-air and then crashing to the ground, Su Da sobered up, but the person he saw upon opening his eyes gave him a fright—it was the Crown Prince and Prince Qi Jingchen.

Yang Ruxin was quick to arrive, pulling Liu Amei along. She didn’t speak, but instead, she let Liu Amei recount the events truthfully, without exaggeration.

”Is what she said true?” Qi Jingchen looked at Su Da.

”This...”

”Stop beating around the bush and speak honestly,” Qi Jingyi couldn’t help but snap angrily, ”If you dare to lie, I’ll flay you alive right here and now.”

”But she’s my wife, she follows her husband upon marriage, she already lost her purity, I didn’t divorce her or drown her in a pond, that is already...”

”Beast.” Unable to hold back, Qi Jingyi kicked him, cutting off the other’s attempt to justify himself.
