The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1508: Chapter 1508: Entering the City (2)

”Brother Crown Prince.” Qi Jingyi couldn’t help but give a wry smile, ”They will definitely succeed.”

Only then did Qi Jingchen calm down a bit.

However, the one who was the most conflicted was Miss Li. Naturally, she hoped to quickly retake Governor’s Office City and drive out the Yuan forces, but she also hoped that something would happen to Yang Ruxin, preferably her getting captured by the enemy. Then, if Gu Qingheng opened the city gates, even if they rescued her later, Gu Qingheng would likely not want her anymore...

Yet such thoughts gave Miss Li a sense of guilt. She truly fancied Gu Qingheng, but she didn’t want to become a spiteful person...

However, without being malicious, she couldn’t act on stealing someone’s partner.

In any case, inside Miss Li, an angel and a demon were constantly fighting, a battle that had started the moment Yang Ruxin appeared. However, since they were evenly matched, as a result, she remained in turmoil.

Finally, just when everyone felt hopeless, the scout suddenly came in and reported that thick smoke was seen rising within the city, suggesting that a place had caught fire...

”They’ve made their move.” Qi Jingyi’s eyes lit up, ”Brother Crown Prince, they must have succeeded.” He then strode out of the tent, swiftly mounted his horse, and gave the order for the entire army to prepare for the siege.

Li Mingyin swallowed nervously, feeling relieved on one hand and somewhat disappointed on the other.

Finally, the beautiful blue flare soared into the sky.

”Charge.” Qi Jingyi shouted loudly, brandishing his sword.

Suddenly, the Daxuan army that had been holding back for over half a month charged out with earth-shaking shouts.

By the time everyone reached the drawbridge, the heavy city gates creaked open as well.

The soldiers poured in like a flood...

The Yuan troops intended to resist, but Gu Qingheng hoisted Alatan’s head on a bamboo pole, proclaiming: ”Alatan is dead, no mercy for those who resist...”

The Yuan soldiers still had the drive to fight, but when they saw Alatan’s head, it was as if the strength in their hearts was scattered; they instantly became frantic, and their resistance started to crumble. Everyone knew that even if they surrendered, they would face death, so it quickly turned into a rout.

Fortunately, news had already reached North City. With the city gates wide open, the Yuan soldiers inside desperately fled outward.

Yet at the gateway, a shadow plunged from the sky, shattering a porcelain bottle on the stone steps at the entrance, and instantly, a strong fragrance wafted through the air. Those Yuan soldiers who reached the gate first collapsed without warning.

The soldiers behind them continued to pour in, only to trip over the fallen ones in front. Before they could get up, more Yuan soldiers rushed over them, crushing the ones in front and falling themselves...

In the end, a large number of Yuan soldiers’ bodies were piled up at the city entrance.

Those at the bottom were the Yuan troops who had charged first, poisoned to death by the fragrance. Those coming after tripped over the poisoned dead, but before they could get up, they were knocked down by the Yuan soldiers fleeing behind them, ending up crushed beneath them, and the last to arrive were killed by the pursuing Daxuan soldiers.

The Daxuan army vented all their frustrations of these days, carrying out a one-sided slaughter of the Yuan soldiers.

The final outcome was the complete annihilation of the thirty thousand Yuan troops stationed in the city.

However, because the corpses blocked the way, it was difficult for the Daxuan army to chase the fleeing enemy. So, when Qi Jingyi gave the order to clear all the bodies, the Yuan soldiers stationed outside had already received the news and retreated.
