The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1246: Chapter 1246: Bad Idea (6)

”I feel like those guys seeking to marry Miss Wanren might not really be into her,” Yang Ruxin sighed after freshening up in the room, ”I think they’re more interested in the weapons from the Wanren Villa’s arsenal.”

”Definitely,” Gu Qingheng nodded, ”Aren’t we here for the weapons too?”

”So, do you think we should try to snatch an Embroidered Ball or something?” Yang Ruxin raised an eyebrow slightly.

”Nonsense, I’m a married man, what would I do with an Embroidered Ball?” Gu Qingheng couldn’t help but knock on Yang Ruxin’s head, ”Don’t come up with such lousy ideas.”

”In the end, doesn’t Miss Wanren still have to choose? If she doesn’t pick, that would be fine, right?”

”But what if she does pick me?”

Yang Ruxin stopped talking, glancing at Gu Qingheng’s face, she didn’t really dare to take the risk, but suddenly her eyes lit up, ”We might not be suitable but what about Shadow Three and Shadow Seven? Both bachelors, no problem for them to participate, right?”

”That’s true,” Gu Qingheng nodded and immediately called the two men in to explain the idea.

”We...” The pair were somewhat confused. They were servants, Hidden Guards who were meant to stay out of sight; and now they were being asked to snatch an Embroidered Ball?

”You are no longer Hidden Guards who can’t step into the light. You are our brothers,” Yang Ruxin waved her hand, ”And you won’t have to hide in trees or on rooftops every night—it’s bad for your health. I know you were trained from a young age and many of you don’t even know your own last names. So from now on, reclaim your names. If you don’t know, just choose either Gu or Yang, whatever pleases you. And if you fancy a girl, you are free to marry and have children...”

Shadow Three and Shadow Seven felt it hard to believe and collectively turned to look at Gu Qingheng.

”Do as Xinxin says,” Gu Qingheng nodded, ”Her words are as good as mine, at any time.”

Shadow Three and Shadow Seven didn’t know quite how to feel but found themselves swelling with emotion until their eyes grew a bit misty.

”Alright, let’s dispense with the sentimental talk and sentimental stuff,” Yang Ruxin hurriedly waved her hand, ”We are here today for the Blood-drinking Sword. Since you two are the only unmarried men, you must snatch the Embroidered Ball and do your best in the challenges...” She chuckled with a ’Heihei’, ”And if you manage to catch the fancy of Jiangnan’s number one beauty, that would be striking it rich...”

Shadow Seven couldn’t help but touch his own face. His martial arts skills were fearless, but his looks... sigh, all he could claim was being passable—not to mention half a front tooth missing. So even if he made it through, he wasn’t necessarily going to be the chosen one, which meant he could then choose a weapon... With that thought, he looked at Shadow Three, ”Let’s strive to get through the challenge, and then you be the groom and I’ll take the treasure sword...”

”Why should it be me who’s the groom?” Shadow Three objected upon hearing this, ”Why can’t it be you who’s the groom and I who takes the treasure sword?” He didn’t care for Miss Wanren at all. He wanted to stay by his master’s side. Besides... his gaze involuntarily drifted toward Du Man, since he already had someone in his heart.

”You look better than I do,” said Shadow Seven righteously, ”Girls like handsome guys, and I’m well aware of how I look...”

”Maybe Miss Wanren would like someone just like you,” Shadow Three shrugged.

”Is she blind?” Shadow Seven frowned.

Du Man couldn’t help but snort with laughter, ”You two, isn’t it too early to be discussing this? First get a hold of the Embroidered Ball, then we’ll talk...”
