The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 333: Chapter 333: The Table (First Update)_1

Doctor Wang’s medicinal powder worked very well. In just two days out of the space, the wound had healed and began to scab and grow new flesh, but to be fully healed, it would probably take another month or so.

Dabai was finally free from the torment of constant pain.

During this time, Gu Yao was very responsible, digging up the ancestry of Qian Er and his two companions all the way back to their great-grandparents. It turned out that the kid hadn’t lied; all three were from poor backgrounds.

Qian Er was from Niu Family Village in Peach Blossom Town, and he had an old father who depended solely on him. However, since the old man had injured his leg while working in the past, he now couldn’t move or take care of himself at all. Since the boss had died, it had been the kid who took care of him.

As for Chengzi and Liang Zi, both were orphans who used to beg for a living. Later, when Qian Er mixed into society, he met them, and the three formed a gang.

The three hadn’t really committed any major crimes; they just made small troubles to get by. Sometimes, when they encroached on others’ territory, they would get caught by people from other gangs and beaten up.

For a few months, the three had been roaming around the Prefectural City. Once, they had worked as attendants in a gambling house, but their gambling house made enemies with another one. After the bosses led their men in a brawl, their boss got his legs broken and fled with the money, leaving these underlings to fend for themselves.

Luckily, the other side didn’t pursue the matter with the servants, and the three were fortunate to escape with their lives. Therefore, they quickly left the Prefectural City for the county town three months ago. But there was a Ground Snake in the county town; they wanted to join, but got snubbed. In the end, they had no choice but to return to the town.

However, to avoid running into familiar faces, they generally wandered around Lianhua Town or some other town.

These past two days, the three had been very honest. Having received five taels of silver, they did not go out to enjoy themselves but diligently took care of old man Qian in the Qian Family household.

After confirming this information, Gu Qingheng’s final assessment was that these three could be tried out; if trained well, they might become reliable helpers.

As Yang Ruxin was considering whether to go find the three men right away or wait a few days, Yang Rulin came by, pushing a new table on a small cart. It was the round table she had drawn in the blueprints for her third great-uncle. Since there was no glass available in this era, the lazy Susan was also made of wood.

”Brother Rulin, you have good craftsmanship,” Yang Ruxin had him place the table in the middle of the hall and took it for a spin. Although the wooden lazy Susan was a bit rough in movement, it was already better than expected, and she immediately admired it, ”You even carved decorations on it...”

”Because of the time limit, I just carved a few simple patterns,” Yang Rulin said somewhat shyly, scratching his head, ”Xinxin, this table is really practical, do you know? This rotating wheel in the middle was personally made by our ancestor. I can’t wait to make one for myself to use.”

Yang Ruxin nodded, ”Yes, that’s why I had you make it.” However, looking at the table, she suddenly slapped her head, ”Brother Rulin, I only asked you to make the table, but I forgot about the chairs...”

”I thought of that, but I was also wondering if such a table should have matching chairs, so I came to ask you about that today.”

”The chairs just shouldn’t have arms is all,” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”I don’t have other requirements as long as the color matches. I need ten of them.”
