After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1536: Chapter 431: Mourinho’s Declaration

”Very exciting.”

Huang Kaiwen empathically said, ”It wasn’t easy for Porto to win the UEFA Champions League back in the day. I remember you said before that you are a seven-time champion, coach. Already a seven-time champion, why care about Barça?”

”I don’t know, I just can’t let it go.”

Mourinho said with a bitter smile, ”Even if others say I’m petty, I admit it, but I can never let go of Barcelona.”

”Alright!”

Huang Kaiwen patted Mourinho’s shoulder and said, ”I’ll contact Mr. Kenyon later, and have him arrange for the airport to delay the flight time. If the route can’t be adjusted, let the plane go back first; we’ll buy a first-class ticket for a later flight.”

”Why?”

Mourinho asked, puzzled, looking at Huang Kaiwen.

Huang Kaiwen smiled and shook the flyer in his hand, which had large print about donating to Tanzania.

”Are we going to crash the event?”

Mourinho asked nervously.

Despite claiming to be second only to God,

he still wouldn’t dare to cause trouble in a place like a church.

”Crash the event? Of course not!”

Huang Kaiwen said with a laugh, ”We’re here to do charity!”

Mourinho stood stunned.

Huang Kaiwen snatched the microphone from Terry’s hand, cutting off his wailing.

”Hey, guys!”

Huang Kaiwen said.

”What’s up Kevin, ready to perform?”

A tipsy Modric asked, lacking his usual restraint.

This normally quiet teammate easily drew attention when drinking.

”No, we have an event tomorrow!” Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

”Where to, experiencing Catalonia’s passion? Isn’t that for now? I know a nightclub!” Ashley Cole shouted.

”Shut up, Ashley.”

Huang Kaiwen jokingly scolded, ”Tomorrow there’s an event at the church. It was originally to celebrate Barça’s advancement, as the victors we naturally can’t miss such an event.”

”Really, I attended a church choir class when I was a kid.”

Cech said, raising his hand.

”Sorry Peter, your resume might not be of much use.”

Huang Kaiwen glanced at his watch and said, ”Alright, it’s already 2 o’clock, everyone go back to sleep, we have things to do tomorrow.”

”Alright, mom.”

”Got it, we’re heading back now.”

...

The next day.

Huang Kaiwen got up early and headed downstairs.

Unexpectedly, Ramos was already sitting in the restaurant before him.

”Kevin, just in time, they just prepared breakfast.”

Ramos said with a wave and a smile.

Huang Kaiwen sat down and asked, ”Any news?”

Ramos helped him set the cutlery and said, ”It’s all about yesterday’s match.”

Huang Kaiwen picked up the newspaper and started reading.

”World Sports News” sure didn’t spare Messi, making Huang Kaiwen feel giving them money in the past was a loss.

They wrote, ”In this match, we had 8 shots on target, with Messi contributing 6 of them, but he couldn’t score even one goal. We’ve said before, his performance in crucial matches is inconsistent, yet he occupies too much of the team’s ball possession. Sure, in the last leg he scored two goals, but that was Chelsea without Kevin, whereas this is Chelsea with Kevin, completely two different teams. Luckily, Bojan didn’t let us down, at least we didn’t let the opponent shut out Barcelona at Camp Nou.”

Cruyff wrote in his column, ”This match showed us the gap between Barça and Chelsea, we must admit. Losing shouldn’t be the result of one player alone, but I also feel that the score doesn’t truly reflect the teams’ real abilities. Chelsea is undeniably powerful, but Barça was missing many key players, emphasizing our need to strengthen the team’s bench this summer to ensure important players don’t face issues in key matches.”

Unexpectedly, Cruyff was quite fair.

By the way.

This old guy always had a good impression of Messi.

Hopefully he won’t persuade Messi to stay.

Also looked at ”Sports Daily” and ”Catalonia Newspaper,” their stance was similar.

By eight o’clock, Ramos called all the teammates down.

The entire team changed into suits provided by the sponsors.

Due to lack of sleep, most were still yawning.

But the unified suits really presented a very good appearance.

There’s a term called the cheerleader effect.

It refers to the phenomenon where group photos might make people appear more attractive than individual photos do. Psychologists believe the cheerleader effect occurs because bad facial features are averaged out when observing group photos.

Professional players, aesthetic values aside, mostly have pretty good physiques.

This group standing there is naturally a group of models.

After a simple breakfast, the group got on the bus.

The bus driver specifically checked the route, and with navigation, they weren’t too late.

Looking at the choir singing hymns in the church, Mourinho asked, ”Should we go in?”

”Come on, go in, find an empty spot and wait with them.”

Huang Kaiwen replied.

Actually, he didn’t know the precise process, whether going in now would be convenient or not.

But since Mourinho couldn’t make a decision, someone had to step up.

Despite Chelsea having a sizeable group, it didn’t cause much disturbance.

The church congregation waved their hands and sang along with the podium, with no time to pay attention to anyone else.

In the church, which could accommodate over a thousand people, Chelsea players spread out to find empty spots to stand before the pews, interacting with the congregation.
