After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1518: Chapter 428: It’s Totally Normal for Players to Carry Bats

After having lunch, Huang Kaiwen went to Cobham.

Today’s match starts at 4 o’clock, so it’s necessary to first go to the training ground.

On the bus to Stamford Bridge in the afternoon, even though the opponent was Stoke City, Mourinho reminded the team to be cautious.

Currently, Chelsea really can’t afford to lose any remaining games, they’re all critical.

Being two points behind, in the remaining three league games, they can only wait for Manchester United to make a mistake.

In the UEFA Champions League, they are also in a passive position, having to fight to the death in the second leg.

There’s also an FA Cup final against the underdog Portsmouth, but getting to the final shows they’ve got some tricks against strong teams. If we’re careless, they might just take the championship.

During the warm-up.

Huang Kaiwen received a warm welcome from the Chelsea fans.

The atmosphere at Stamford Bridge was like celebrating Christmas.

The match hadn’t started yet, but there was already singing in the stands.

After Huang Kaiwen finished his warm-up, Mourinho immediately threw his arm around Huang Kaiwen’s shoulder and said: ”Kevin, you’ll have time in the second half to get a feel for the game. First, see how these guys perform.”

”Okay, Coach!”

Huang Kaiwen nodded and said.

Mourinho smiled and patted Huang Kaiwen on the shoulder.

If only the other players were as easy to handle.

The progress of the game was completely beyond everyone’s expectation; in the first 20 minutes, neither side scored. Stoke City’s solid defense seemed impenetrable.

But in the 24th minute, Kalou scored a goal after receiving a back pass from Drogba, opening Chelsea’s scoring account.

Feeling it, Kalou delivered headers and kicks, while Modric came up from behind for a long shot.

Before the end of the first half, the two had respectively achieved a hat-trick and a brace.

During the halftime break.

Mourinho was somewhat doubting life.

After all, in his view, Tottenham without Bale and Modric is no different from Stoke City, who are actually more difficult to deal with without Delap’s threat.

Yet today, even without Huang Kaiwen on the field, the team pummeled the opponent into submission in just over 20 minutes.

The divination had predicted such a result, but it still felt unusual to Mourinho.

Previously, the team struggled to score as if constipated.

Now they’re so fierce, it’s a bit frightening.

Standing in the middle of the locker room, Mourinho coughed twice and said: ”You’re doing great today, but at the end of the season, it’s courteous to spare the opponent a bit. In the second half, don’t go too hard on scoring.”

Mourinho was a bit afraid.

On one hand, he was worried the team might suddenly stop scoring.

On the other, he feared angering the opponent.

Stoke City had already secured their spot in the league and had no opportunity to qualify for European competitions.

They’re just waiting for the season to end so they can go on vacation with their families.

Still, if we go all out in scoring, who knows if they’ll retaliate?

Chelsea can’t afford injuries now.

”Okay, Boss.”

Terry nodded and said.

Cech sighed quietly.

We’ll just have to be more careful.

Strong offensive play naturally subdues the opponent, reducing their chances to score.

With the coach asking to slow attacks, Stoke City might aim to score for pride.

Plus, they have the capability, with Delap’s lethal long throw-ins being a major threat.

Mourinho’s request is a bit problematic for him.

But shortly into the second half, Malouda scored a world-class goal from 30 meters out.

Rui Faria hunched his body as he walked to the sideline; he’d always had a habit of bending down when standing, and after multiple fractures, it made him even more hunched.

Faria asked: ”It seems something’s not right with them, should Kevin still go on?”

”Yes.”

Mourinho instinctively replied, then shook his head, saying: ”Forget it, these bastards...”

Damn it!

They can’t score when I want them to.

When I don’t want them to score, they can’t be stopped.

Ultimately, Chelsea achieved an 8-0 home victory over their opponents.

After the match, Huang Kaiwen invited the whole team back to his place to celebrate.

Lily and Albert had already prepared everything.

Since it was a spontaneous gathering, no one’s family came along, so Lily fit right in with the Chelsea players.

Bale was earnestly asking Huang Kaiwen about his hobbies, listening attentively before Lily, his phone recording the conversation.

”Things are going to get difficult next.”

Terry sat by Huang Kaiwen, holding a beer cup as he spoke.

”Don’t be so downbeat.”

Huang Kaiwen pointed at Terry’s cup and said: ”Habits are hard to change. You said you wanted to switch to red wine to become a successful person. But you still like holding a beer cup, and it’s the same with Barcelona, they’ve got habits they can’t quit.”

”What habits?”

Terry straightened his back and asked Huang Kaiwen.

”The habit of losing to me!”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

Terry laughed and flipped the bird.

...

A day later.

Huang Kaiwen and the whole team went to Heathrow Airport.

Reluctant Lily was left behind in London.

No choice.

Since it’s not a final, everyone was on their own to get there.

At the security checkpoint, a small incident occurred.

The Chelsea players’ luggage was held up.

Huntelaar was the first to step up and ask: ”Is there a problem?”

”These are all your personal items, correct?”

The staff asked.

”Yes, that’s right!”

Huntelaar nodded and said.

The Chelsea players gathered around to see what their teammate had actually brought.

”That’s not allowed, baseball bats can be checked in, but not carried on.”

The staff said.

Huntelaar anxiously said: ”This is a Dutch tradition, you should respect Dutch customs. Even when we go to play National Team matches, we take the clubs with us.”
