After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1527: Chapter 430: Not a Fan of Away Goals

Back in the locker room with his teammates.

Huang Kaiwen was the first to untie his shoelaces and take off his shoes and socks.

He had intentionally tied his shoes tightly for the game against Barcelona, afraid they’d be stepped off at a crucial moment.

Wearing them like that felt very restrictive, not comfortable at all.

Chelsea players were quietly eating.

Even Ashley Cole wasn’t saying much.

The score was 2:1, total score 2:4, not a great situation.

Who knows if Mourinho will get mad.

No one wanted to be in the line of fire right now.

Mourinho entered the locker room with his hands in his pockets, still smiling.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

In the center of the locker room, Mourinho looked at each player, some didn’t even dare to meet his gaze.

Mourinho’s presence was too overwhelming!

After assessing each player’s performance, Mourinho finally spoke: ”Boys, you did well, today Barcelona had no other chances apart from that last goal...”

Modric, who hadn’t dared to breathe, finally smiled.

Bale quickly nudged him with his leg.

Think it’s over?

Naive!

There’s definitely a ”but”.

”But...”

Many players had that ”as expected” look, and Modric quickly composed himself.

He was the only one smiling in the locker room, feeling a bit out of place.

”But I’m sorry, the UEFA Champions League looks at the total score over two legs.” Mourinho slapped his left palm with the back of his right hand and said: ”With a total score of 4:2, we’re the 2. Tell me, can we advance ending like this?”

No one dared to respond.

Mourinho continued: ”Tell me, can we advance? Cat got your tongue? John, you’re the captain, answer me!”

Terry braced himself and shouted: ”No!”

Mourinho’s face stiffened.

Damn!

He was about to ask Terry if he hadn’t eaten.

He didn’t expect Terry to yell so loudly.

These young people really don’t play by the rules anymore.

Fortunately, Mourinho is quick-witted, and he immediately changed his approach: ”Since you know we’re behind on aggregate and can’t advance, are you still going to concede goals? Do you really think that Catalonia kid they praise is some reincarnation of a football king? In my view, Bojan is far less threatening than Messi, but it was him, some Bojan-whatever, I can’t even remember his last name, this young guy easily broke through what the media calls the world’s strongest defense and scored a goal. I don’t know what to say. Maybe I should ask the disciplinary committee to check if your wives or girlfriends have bet on us losing at William Hill, otherwise, with your abilities, how could you let him easily get through one-on-one.”

Cech silently nodded.

He had that suspicion too.

Mourinho’s words hit home for him.

He hadn’t taken Bojan seriously, always focusing on Messi, or even Pedro on the left flank who was quite threatening.

Who would’ve thought Bojan could easily create a goal-scoring opportunity?

”I know you’re frustrated, indignant, thinking you’re the seven-time champion. But I’ll tell you damn well, even if you’re seven-time champions, they won’t just hand you this season’s Champions League trophy. If you want to win matches, want the bonuses, want to brag to those chicks during the break that you’re winners, you damn well need to play seriously.”

Mourinho swung his arms fiercely and said: ”When you go back to the field later, use any method, I don’t care if you gang up on Guardiola, I just want one result, at the end of the match I want to see Chelsea advance!!!”

After saying this, Mourinho pushed the door open and left the locker room.

Boas followed him out, looking at Mourinho leaning against the wall near the door, he pulled out a cigar box from his pocket and said: ”Have one.”

”You know I don’t smoke.”

Mourinho waved his hand.

”It’s okay, have one to celebrate.”

Boas took out a cigar cutter, trimmed it, and handed it to Mourinho.

Mourinho instinctively bit it and mumbled: ”Celebrate what?”

”Of course, our advancement.”

Boas lit it for Mourinho, and lit one for himself, saying: ”I was saving it for the end of the match, but celebrating in advance doesn’t seem bad.”

”Perhaps.”

Mourinho said.

”You give too much weight to Barcelona.”

Boas put his arm around Mourinho’s shoulder and said: ”I understand your feelings, Barcelona is strong too. But today they’ve made many adjustments, they can’t defend against Kevin’s strikes at all.”

”Perhaps.”

Mourinho took a deep drag from the cigar and exhaled.

The atmosphere inside the locker room wasn’t great.

Mourinho’s words today were a bit harsh.

Accusing players of betting was a serious thing.

So even knowing Mourinho was trying to lift everyone’s spirits, the whole Chelsea team was a bit upset.

Terry helplessly looked at Huang Kaiwen, at times like this, he didn’t know what to say either.

Even he wanted to punch Mourinho.

Huang Kaiwen stood up and walked to the center of the locker room, clapping to get everyone’s attention.

Seeing everyone’s eyes on him, Huang Kaiwen began: ”I know everyone is unhappy, I’m not happy either, because the coach said some over-the-top things, right?”

”Yes!”

”The boss’s gone too far.”

”We’re not like that.”

”...”

”Alright, alright.” Huang Kaiwen waved his hand to interrupt his teammates’ grumbles and said: ”We’re a team, the coach is part of it, just like you’d lose your cool facing the team that kicked you out, the coach too loses his temper, he’s not a bad person, he has his emotions, he’s just an ordinary guy.
