Chapter 1505: Chapter 425: George Huang’s Choice

The entire Central Army team had almost returned to the tunnel, with only Keisuke Honda peeking around near the tunnel looking at Huang Kaiwen, ready to seize the opportunity to complete his performance.

”Saint Kevin!!!”

”Saint Kevin!!!”

”Saint Kevin!!!”

The roar from over 40,000 fans at Stamford Bridge was deafening.

Today, they were the happiest people in the world.

Even Abramovich left his box to join the fans in the stands, applauding the team.

He was truly glad he went to Madrid personally to invite Huang Kaiwen back then.

Cech followed his teammates, repeatedly raising his arms, his eyes a bit misty.

How long had it been!

He couldn’t remember the last time he kept a clean sheet!

This bunch, especially against strong teams, would definitely give him some trouble.

He never expected to keep a clean sheet today against the Central Army, who played quite well this season.

Cech felt this was the kind of match he wanted.

”Kevin, do you have any plans for tomorrow?”

Ramos turned and asked.

Huang Kaiwen thought for a moment, clapped his hands to get his teammates’ attention, and said, ”Today we played like champions, tomorrow everyone come to my place to celebrate, you can bring your partners and families!”

”Hooray!”

Huang Kaiwen walked back with his teammates, chatting and laughing together.

Suddenly, a figure darted out.

Before Huang Kaiwen could react, Ramos rushed out and kicked the person into the player tunnel.

...

Post-match press conference.

Boas brought Higuain, who performed a hat-trick, to the conference.

Slutsky sat at the side with a bitter face, unsure if he’d keep his job.

Fortunately, the reporters weren’t interested in him, only asking questions to Boas and Higuain.

”Tell us about how it felt to score a hat-trick, Gonzalo.”

”Why did Mr. Mourinho leave the pitch, and will he face any UEFA sanctions?”

”Is today’s victory because of Kevin’s return after an injection?”

”Some say Chelsea is all about Kevin and his teammates, do you think that’s true, Mr. Boas?”

”Chelsea has three outstanding forwards, Drogba, Huntelaar, and Higuain, who is the better one?”

Boas didn’t rush to answer, instead gesturing for Slutsky to speak first.

Seeing he couldn’t avoid it, Slutsky sighed and leaned into the microphone, saying in a downcast tone, ”We lost, there’s a gap between us and Chelsea, but it shouldn’t be this big. I don’t even understand why Kevin would take an injection to play against us, maybe it’s an honor. Myself and the whole team will review, that’s all I want to say.”

After speaking, Slutsky stood up and quickly left the scene.

Boas then pulled the microphone in front of him and said, ”We achieved a glorious victory, this match was very important. The team has had some issues recently, but this big win will help us regain our confidence. You’re right, Kevin’s return was crucial, more importantly, his spirit inspired the whole team. When a superstar takes an injection just to play a match, everyone is motivated, so we played a great game. Kevin isn’t just the tactical core, he’s also the team’s spiritual leader, always able to unwittingly turn the entire team into one unit.”

”What happened to Mr. Mourinho?”

The reporter pressed on.

”Jose was just feeling a bit unwell,” Boas quickly replied.

Not wanting to discuss Mourinho’s matter further.

”Please answer, which forward is better?”

The reporter asked.

Without even thinking, Boas said, ”Drogba is incredibly strong, Higuain can dribble and play multiple positions, Huntelaar has a keen sense in front of goal, they’re all excellent. If they could combine their characteristics, they’d be the best forward in the world.”

”Who is slightly better?”

Not getting the desired scoop, the reporter asked persistently.

Boas shook his head and said, ”There is no slightly better one, we will choose forwards according to the opponent’s characteristics.”

Seeing Boas’ answers were watertight, the reporters turned their focus to Higuain.

”Gonzalo, tell us about how it felt to score a UEFA Champions League hat-trick.”

The reporter asked.

Higuain smiled and said, ”It felt wonderful, it’s the second happiest moment of my life.”

”What’s the happiest moment then?”

”Transferring to Chelsea and becoming teammates with Kevin again, of course.” Higuain said, ”Being Kevin’s teammate, you don’t have to worry about losing, dressing room cliques, sponsors, and fans will like you, you’ll win every championship, it’s every player’s dream.”

The reporter said, ”Sounds pretty nice. Can you explain the meaning of that celebration?”

Sure enough, he couldn’t escape!

Higuain immediately perked up and sat up straight, solemnly saying, ”I saw on TV that many regions in Africa lack water, they are still using hand pumps, so I want to call on fans to conserve water. Of course, I will also donate some money to the areas lacking water.”

After casually mentioning the donation, Higuain regretted a little.

He didn’t know how many tires he’d have to change to make up for his loss.

...

The next day.

Past 10 in the morning.

Huang Kaiwen went downstairs and saw Huntelaar sitting on the sofa.

”When did you get here?”

Huang Kaiwen casually asked.

He had good relationships with most Dutch players.

”A bit past 8.” Huntelaar replied with a smile, ”My dad brought a lot of specialties over, so I wanted to give you some.”

Albert, standing nearby, chimed in, ”Mr. Huntelaar brought over some high-end Scotch whisky.”

Huntelaar looked a bit embarrassed.

Huang Kaiwen couldn’t help but laugh, though Huntelaar’s technique was indeed unlike a Dutch player.
