Chapter 1511: Chapter 426: Rematch Against O’Sullivan

After preparing, they need to hand it over to the referee for inspection before use.

Once both were ready, they entered the stage, immediately causing an uproar.

The entire venue was filled with screams.

O’Sullivan, due to his personality and strength, was also admired by many.

But today, there were even more fans present.

As soon as Huang Kaiwen appeared, a huge cheer erupted from the crowd.

”Saint Kevin!”

”Saint Kevin!”

”Saint Kevin!”

Huang Kaiwen waved to the audience, and the roar grew even louder.

Usually, the walk-on girls are just for show, but today they have a purpose.

The two girls in swimsuits pushed Huang Kaiwen and O’Sullivan to the line, and since it was an exhibition match, the referee directly asked who would go first.

”I will!”

O’Sullivan said straight away.

In snooker, the player who plays first often has a much higher winning rate than the one who plays second.

Even in other games, he’d prefer to go first.

Huang Kaiwen spread his palm, making a gesture of invitation.

O’Sullivan was immediately pushed to the line.

The metallic darts are hard darts, and participants stand 2.44 meters from the board, with the board at a height of 1.73 meters.

Since they were competing in wheelchairs, the board height was slightly lowered.

O’Sullivan picked up the first dart and, after aiming for a few seconds with some back-and-forth motions of his right hand, threw it.

He was clearly aiming for the triple 20 at the 12 o’clock position, but his precision was off, and he only managed to score 20 points.

This left O’Sullivan looking rather displeased.

As a snooker master, he clearly understood what it meant to miss out on 40 points at the start.

O’Sullivan quickly picked up another dart and threw it again, this time successfully hitting the triple area, scoring 60 points.

However, his third dart went astray and only scored 1 point.

After three darts, the giant screen showed that the 501 beside O’Sullivan’s name had turned into 420.

The audience applauded for O’Sullivan, but his expression remained quite grim.

The commentator said: ”Ronnie’s opening mistake affected his mindset. Next, he can’t finish in nine darts. Let’s see Kevin’s performance; 60 is good, 60, another one, Kevin truly is Kevin. Oops, why did Kevin score a 25?”

The bullseye of the dartboard scores 50, with the outer green ring scoring 25.

The usual easiest way to clear 501 points is to get two sets of 180 and one set of 141.

This 25 points was hard to understand.

Huang Kaiwen was clearly aiming for two sets of 180 and one of 141.

The ”mistake” from Huang Kaiwen made O’Sullivan’s expression much better.

He was pushed back to the line once more.

This time, O’Sullivan performed quite well, scoring two consecutive 60s, but with the third dart, he seemed to fear missing the target, given that he’s not a professional player. He opted for the outer ring of double 20, but unfortunately hit the black single instead.

The score beside O’Sullivan’s name changed to 280.

”Ronnie still has 280 points. To finish quickly, he needs four triple 20s and one double 20, while Kevin has 366 points. We don’t know how many he’ll have after these three darts.”

Huang Kaiwen quietly calculated O’Sullivan’s score.

He determined that his opponent needed at least five darts, and Huang Kaiwen decided to keep his score within range of closing the match in four turns.

He could speed up to win quickly or hold back to prolong the match.

Despite his talent, O’Sullivan wasn’t a professional player.

In an exhibition match, maintaining the chase makes it more interesting, and saves face.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh,

Huang Kaiwen’s three darts hit triple 20, triple 20, and double 13, swiftly bringing his score down to 220.

This score required at least four darts.

O’Sullivan clearly realized this too.

When pushed to the line again, he appeared far more serious.

But his first dart missed, landing in the single area for only 20 points.

This dashed his hopes of finishing in five darts.

O’Sullivan struggled to suppress his irritation as he threw another triple 20, finishing with just 20 points on his last attempt.

After three darts, he was left with 180 points, needing a double with the final dart.

With O’Sullivan’s skills, it was tough to steadily achieve two triple 20s and two double 20s.

Some snooker fans in the audience sighed.

Huang Kaiwen threw scores of 60, 60, and 50, leaving himself with 50 points.

Both players finished three sets, but Huang Kaiwen had already claimed a significant advantage.

O’Sullivan scored only 120 with his three darts, still leaving 60 points.

When Huang Kaiwen approached the line again, O’Sullivan held his breath; he hadn’t felt this nervous even when playing snooker.

Despite it being an unfamiliar event, he didn’t want to fall too far behind.

Under the gaze of the entire audience, Huang Kaiwen, aiming at the bullseye, flicked his wrist, sending the dart flying fast towards the board, hitting 20 points.

Huang Kaiwen didn’t finish the game!

O’Sullivan couldn’t help but cheer.

Huang Kaiwen turned back and smiled, untroubled, and tossed his second dart, successfully finishing with a double 15.

Huang Kaiwen won the match in eleven darts.

”A nice match!”

O’Sullivan stood up, approached, and extended his hand, saying.

”You did well too, Ronnie.”

Huang Kaiwen also stood up, balancing on one leg, extending his hand and saying.
