After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Forget it, Huang Kaiwen was no longer troubled by the system’s slander.

He was already so dazzling, and with a stomach ailment, what’s wrong with eating something soft?

It was only after finishing reading that Huang Kaiwen noticed there were also [Tasks] and [Shop]

After accepting a task, it would be easier to change the fate of the [Task’s] target.

[Tasks] and the [Shop] both refresh once a month, and if not completed, you can give up the current [Task] after a month.

His current task was to choose one out of three:

[Task 1 Future: Change the fate of the future third-rate player Cristian Maldini, and help him successfully become a star who can stand firm in Milan]

Hmm, the eldest son of the Ma family, seemed like he was sick or something. This one seemed a bit difficult, and it would take a long time too, Cristian appeared to be just a few years old, but it was his younger brother Daniel that later got to play in the rotation for Milan.

Huang Kaiwen could not possibly do this task.

After all, he did not understand what was up with Cristian, whether he had talent or not.

If he had talent, Cristian’s own father, Paolo Maldini, couldn’t make him a star, and Huang Kaiwen didn’t think he was better than Maldini at training players.

[Task 2 Current Season: Change Dida’s fate, to prevent his premature decline. Hint: After being hit by debris in the fireworks derby, Dida was unable to focus on the game.]

This task seemed relatively simple.

Huang Kaiwen also figured out why Dida, originally a top goalkeeper, declined so fast. Lacking a sense of security on the field, afraid of being hit by debris, he obviously wouldn’t be able to concentrate on playing.

But even without taking the task, it should be easy to change this, just remind Dida when the time comes.

[Task 3 Long-term: Change the fate of the top star Kaka so he won’t leave the mainstream leagues prematurely.]

Hmm.

This was the task Huang Kaiwen wanted.

He did want to change Kaka’s fate, but unfortunately, there was no hint provided like for Dida, which would have made it easier to target the issue.

But even though it might be more difficult, Huang Kaiwen decided to take it on.

If he could change Kaka’s fate, it would also be a good thing for Milan. Just consider it a contribution to the team in other ways by this ”salary thief.”

He clicked to accept, and after taking on the task, there was a hint.

[Ding, Long-term Task 3 accepted. Abnormal status increased.]

Huang Kaiwen was nearly scared to death; one [Vulnerability Change] was enough trouble for him, but thankfully, this time it wasn’t a DEBUFF.

Abnormal Status: [Kaka’s Good Brother]: Kaka feels an instant connection with you, he sees you as a wise man and is willing to listen to your advice. On the field, you work seamlessly together, and off the field, you are as close as brothers. After changing Kaka’s fate, the abnormal status will disappear, and your relationship with Kaka will shift based on how close you two are.

Seeing this, Huang Kaiwen felt quite satisfied, as he could change Kaka’s fate more easily.

He noted in his notebook to remind Dida and to visit the Maldini family to check out the situation with the eldest son when he had time. Contented, Huang Kaiwen continued watching the movie.

After the European Cup ended, some teammates would extend their holidays, but most of them would return to the team in a few days.

Facing his first training session, Huang Kaiwen was rather nervous.

Without the experience card, he was nothing.

This training session would reveal the truth.

Still not giving up, Huang Kaiwen practiced a few times on the grass, and Carlos Kaiser, this guy, truly had no talent.

...

A few days later, on July 12th, Milan players returned to the team.

The teammates who hadn’t participated in major competitions that summer were all back. Barbara especially drove Huang Kaiwen to Milanello because Huang Kaiwen didn’t like driving himself.

After all, the young miss didn’t need to clock in for work.

In the underground parking garage, they ran into Stam.

Stam laughed as he recognized Huang Kaiwen and greeted him.

”Morning.”

Unfortunately, Stam had a somewhat fierce look, so his smile didn’t come across as friendly. Huang Kaiwen wasn’t one to judge by appearances, and he greeted Stam with a smile too, ”Morning.”

To better play the role of a ”salary thief,” he decided to build good relationships with everyone on the team, even the club staff.

Even if Barbara could control the team in the future, internal resistance would make him uncomfortable, so Huang Kaiwen still hoped for a friendly and harmonious environment when slacking off.

”Darling, I’ll come to pick you up after training,” Barbara said, giving Huang Kaiwen a hug and speaking with reluctance.

”Sure, go to work, mom,” he replied.

Barbara, teased by the remark, punched Huang Kaiwen in the chest and drove away.

Barbara left in her car, huffing with irritation; she thought Huang Kaiwen called her ”mom” because he found her nagging and decided to make him sleep on the couch that evening.

Stam smiled and waited for Huang Kaiwen as they walked toward the locker room together.

These youngsters were really mushy, but Stam acknowledged the kid had some real skills. After viewing the footage of his presentation ceremony, he hadn’t seen such a talented player before, not even Cruyff or Van Basten compared to this kid.

During the change of clothes, Huang Kaiwen took the initiative to chat with Stam about his time at Manchester United and jointly complained about how unreasonable Ferguson had been, making Stam feel like Huang Kaiwen deeply understood his feelings and considered him a confidant.

When they got to the training field, he took the initiative to introduce Huang Kaiwen to his teammates.

”This is Paul; you must have met before.”

”Morning, Captain!” Huang Kaiwen greeted him cheerfully.

”Go for it, Kevin~”

Maldini said with an auntie’s smile.

He believed Huang Kaiwen was Milan’s future and naturally wouldn’t stint on kindness toward him.

”Andre Pirlo, you should know him, right?”

Stam pointed out Pirlo as he spoke.

”Of course,” Huang Kaiwen went forward to shake hands with Pirlo and said, ”I’ve always thought that Andre’s long passes are the best in the world, and I’m thrilled to play with you.”

Pirlo found Huang Kaiwen a bit too enthusiastic, but still shook hands with him, smiling.

He hadn’t imagined someone would rate his long passes as the world’s best, but the new teammate had good insight.

”Filippo Inzaghi, he’s the guy every defender gets a headache over,” Stam introduced again.

Inzaghi, looking proud, took the initiative to speak, ”I’ve seen your performance on TV; you seem quite good, pass the ball to me more when we’re on the field.”

”Sure, as long as I get to play often, I’ll definitely assist you,” Huang Kaiwen responded.

Inzaghi was very pleased with Huang Kaiwen’s words.

Stam replied with a villainous smile, ”You are too modest; the coach will definitely start you. How could you not get to play often?”

Huang Kaiwen thought to himself that this was under the assumption he didn’t get injured.

”Andre Shevchenko, a big star; he’s highly tipped for the Ballon d’Or.”

Naturally, Huang Kaiwen knew Shevchenko.

He used to really like Sheva back when he watched the games.

Suddenly, he remembered that he hadn’t seen any tasks related to Sheva.

After Sheva left Milan, his career plummeted quickly. Alongside Torres, he was deemed one of Chelsea’s two major disappointments.
