After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

The next morning, Huang Kaiwen received a call from the club’s staff.

It was a woman, but he didn’t pay much attention.

After a simple breakfast at the hotel and waiting for more than an hour, the caller finally rang again, asking him to come downstairs.

Huang Kaiwen was somewhat speechless.

The Italians’ sense of time really left him at a loss for words. They call early in the morning and then take more than two hours to show up. Who do you think you are, Kakashi Hatake?

Feeling slightly annoyed, he went downstairs and saw someone he hadn’t expected at all.

To confirm he wasn’t mistaken, he took a few extra glances at the person beside the car.

”It’s quite rude to stare at a woman like that,” she accused him, but her tone was teasing with a hint of laughter, sounding almost flirtatious.

Huang Kaiwen was taken aback.

”Hey, what are you daydreaming about? Get in the car.”

”Oh, right.” As he got into the passenger seat, he turned his head and tentatively asked, ”Barbara Berlusconi?”

”You recognize me?!”

Upon hearing this, Huang Kaiwen knew he wasn’t wrong.

How did this young lady come to accompany him house hunting?

The Brazilian Team was also one of his favorites. Knowing the Brazilian genius Pato, of course, he recognized you, Barbara.

”Didn’t they say that club staff would come?” Huang Kaiwen asked cautiously, unclear about her intentions.

”Hmm, I wouldn’t really count as club staff, but I was right there when the coach called. I was curious about the genius earning a salary of 2.5 million Euros and, moreover, I heard you’ve never accepted professional training before and had been studying all along. It’s quite miraculous, so I came,” she said.

Huang Kaiwen silently curled the corners of his mouth.

That figure of 2.5 million Euros really was... begging to be criticized.

He was initially shocked by the salary on the contract, and feeling a bit guilty, he hadn’t dared to haggle much. Had he known, he might have asked for 2.51 million or 2.49 million Euros instead.

The ”250” joke might not exist in Europe, but sooner or later, as he becomes a long-term resident in the hospital flirting with nurses or watching games from the stands, that salary would inevitably become fodder for ridicule by the domestic Inter Milan fans.

Damn, a strategical error.

Just thinking about the Inter Milan fans in the forums calling him Mr. 250 or just 250, Huang Kaiwen’s head began to buzz, and they didn’t even bother to add ”million” between ”250” and ”sir.”

As she drove and noticed the change in his expression, Barbara asked with some curiosity, ”Weren’t you happy to see me just now? What’s wrong all of a sudden?”

”It’s not because of you, Miss Berlusconi.”

”Call me Barbara.”

”Alright, Barbara.”

”You still haven’t told me why you’re upset.”

Huang Kaiwen, a ”reserve salary thief,” naturally couldn’t discuss salaries with the boss’s daughter and made up an excuse: ”I was just thinking you might have a boyfriend by now, and that’s making me sad.”

Screech—

Startled, Barbara slammed on the brakes, almost coming to a halt. It was fortunate that they both had their seat belts on; otherwise, at such a speed, they would’ve been thrown right out of the car.

Bewildered, she stared at him for a moment, then covered her mouth with a coy laugh and said, ”You’re different from the Asians I’ve met before. The Asians I used to meet weren’t so direct.”

”That must be because they didn’t notice a beauty like you.”

Huang Kaiwen was full of ambition and didn’t cost anything to say nice things—after all, it really didn’t cost anything. If he could please the boss’s daughter, his future days should be much easier.

”Alright, since you’re so honest, I’ll treat you to a big meal tonight.”

”Okay, thank you.”

After his compliment, Barbara obviously felt beautiful. While driving, she suddenly blurted out, ”I’m single now.”

Huang Kaiwen was dumbfounded.

He was just being talkative and enthusiastic; even though he wanted to build a good relationship, he hadn’t thought about selling his art and himself. He was just a football player. These capitalists indeed had dirty blood running through their veins. Even the young second generation were so calculating. Offering him a salary, they expected him to work day and night. Even Ma Xiaoyun would feel ashamed.

However, on second thought, if he intended to lie flat during the day and not play football, it wouldn’t be unacceptable to make up for it at night.

After all, he had received such a hefty salary.

Feeling the change in his gaze, Barbara also found it hard to resist.

She was even a year younger than Huang Kaiwen. Even if she had the potential of a ”Sea King,” she was still a hidden dragon lying dormant, yet to rise. She still had a sense of shame. If it had been the experienced Barbara who met Pato, she would have driven straight to a desolate place for excitement.

But Barbara found Huang Kaiwen’s attitude very satisfying, and she was very diligent in helping him find a house.

After following the agent to see several houses and not being satisfied, Barbara suggested, ”Why don’t you live near my house? It’s really nice there.”

”No, thanks.”

Which worker would damn well want to live next to their boss?

Especially not this ”Football King” who was planning on slacking off.

”Okay then, what kind of house do you think would be suitable?”

”It doesn’t need to be too big, ideally with a garden that’s not too large or small. I could plant some flowers and cultivate my temperament when I’m resting (when I’m injured). As long as one person can manage it, that’s fine,” Huang Kaiwen said.

”That’s too simple. I like swimming; it’s not okay without a swimming pool.”

Sure, you call the shots.

He wasn’t spending his own money anyway. Renting a house costs a lot, the young miss should be able to handle it.

The Mediterranean-looking agent also figured out that Barbara was the decision-maker, so he took them to see another two luxury villas.

Barbara decided to rent a mansion not far from Milanello.

The monthly rent was 18,000 Euros. The mansion had 7 bedrooms, 3 living rooms, a big garden with a fountain, a swimming pool, and a small golf course. With the homeowner’s consent, the golf course could be converted into a small soccer field, convenient for Huang Kaiwen to train at home.

To ensure his housing security for the next few years and not to be moved to a small apartment because of too many absences, Huang Kaiwen coaxed Barbara into signing a 3-year lease agreement. The rent didn’t have to be paid all at once, using the reason that the rent in a major city like Milan was bound to rise in the future. The young miss also thought his words made sense, he seemed like a person who knew how to live, so she signed it for three years straight away.

After taking care of business, local Barbara drove him to Osteria La Voliera, a restaurant that seemed very romantic. Its decoration wasn’t very luxurious—simple and adorned with key elements. Cupids and fresh flowers were seen everywhere, clearly targeting couples.

During the meal, Barbara also ordered two bottles of red wine.

The intentions of Sima Zhao were plain as day. Alone in a foreign country, facing this combination of rich second generation and official second generation, he had absolutely no room to resist.

Huang Kaiwen completely let go.

He stood up, went over and sat next to Barbara. Not only was he full on with his words, but his hand was also placed in a silky position, making the boss’s daughter blush and flustered throughout the meal.

She was even unsteady when it came to paying the bill.

It must be said, Barbara’s safety awareness was very good; after drinking, she didn’t drive but instead promptly pulled him to a hotel.
