Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 362: Ninglan Qiuyue’s Arrival at Witch Academy

”Sigh It’s already been several days, hasn’t it? I heard Big Sis Little Han still hasn’t returned…”

”Indeed, but… I’m still curious how Big Sis Little Han managed to send her true body over? She couldn’t have been trapped there and can’t come back, could she…”

”Not sure, Big Sis Little Han’s way of thinking isn’t something we can keep up with. Besides, the teacher also went over, so she shouldn’t be unable to return, right?”

At Witch Academy, several days had already passed since the Sleeping Curse incident ended.

The academy network was filled with discussions about this event.

Of course, most of the discussions were about destiny, scripts, and conspiracy theories.

Some deeply believed in them, while others thought the newcomers’ minds had problems.

The academy did not obscure this information; instead, it openly allowed them to spread it on the academy network, neither admitting nor denying it.

And the academy also did not issue any formal announcements to explain content related to destiny scripts, which was equivalent to a cold treatment.

Instead of making things worse by talking more, it was better to let those people slowly guess and think for themselves.

”By the way, how is Big Sis Tan Han? Since she came back, she seems… to have changed a lot.”

”I’m also quite worried about her. I went to see her earlier, but she still seemed pretty spirited.”

”Is that so?”

”Mm, when I went to see her, Big Sis Tan Han was still reading, after all, the monthly exam is in a few days…ugh no, half of this month was wasted again, and so many classes were missed… This time, I’m going to fall back a lot!”

”It’s fine, although your ranking dropped, your potential for improvement increased.”

”You! You still have the mood to joke? Aren’t you the same?”

As the two of them were talking, their peripheral vision caught a familiar figure in the library.

”Huh! Wait!”

”What’s wrong?”

”Look at that, that person, isn’t she that…”

”Mm? That… isn’t she Ninglan Qiuyue? How is she at Witch Academy?!”

”It’s really her… The person from the dream appeared in reality!”

”Wake up, the dream you had was also in reality.”

”I know! But, but Witch Academy’s scope for recruiting students is too broad, isn’t it? How did she get here?”

”Don’t forget, Witch Academy is the academy that abducts people the most in every batch, it’s a traditional art. How about… we go say hello? After all, we’re old acquaintances, right… I guess? At the very least, we’re her seniors.”

”Yes, and by the way, find out what’s going on.”

After they finished speaking, they stood up and walked towards her.

At this time, Ninglan Qiuyue also noticed the two figures walking towards her, who seemed to be quite familiar.

”Hello, both of you. I didn’t expect to meet you here.”

”Indeed, this is quite a coincidence. Are you… joining Witch Academy?”

”Mm, a mentor from Witch Academy personally invited me. The hospitality was hard to refuse, and I am indeed very drawn to the Transcendent world, so I became an ordinary student at Witch Academy.”

As for Ninglan New City, as the City Lord, she was just a figurehead.

She clearly knew her own capabilities; letting her manage Ninglan New City would probably lead to chaos, wouldn’t it?

Moreover, after the disaster caused by the Nightmare Demon, the officials within Ninglan New City had been largely replaced.

Coupled with the suppression of various families and factions, it could be said that Ninglan New City currently had no power to resist such a decision.

Ninglan New City could be said to have undergone reforms and renovations in various senses, moving towards a new era.

Furthermore, Witch Academy’s control over Ninglan New City was not solely about taking; it was even vigorously helping Ninglan New City to develop.

Among the things she still clearly remembered, there was the maintenance of the Earth Vein at the Ninglan Shelter Stele, pushing the scope of the Earth Vein’s protection outwards, which also meant that Ninglan New City now had the capital to expand outwards.

Coupled with the aid of Transcendent techniques and so on, their Ninglan New City would thoroughly stand firm upon the ruins through sheer strength, never to decline, instead of relying on the blessing of destiny from the first City Lord.

No one in Ninglan New City could refuse to expand outwards, as without sufficient living space, the population could not develop.

Now that she had dealt with the miscellaneous matters in Ninglan New City, she was currently in a state of being a hands-off manager, or rather, even if she wanted to do something, many people probably wouldn’t want her to do it, as she would genuinely be doing more harm than good.

Of course, she also clearly knew her purpose for coming to Witch Academy, which was naturally to learn Transcendent-related techniques to bring back.

Although Witch Academy promised aid in Transcendent techniques, it was definitely not as much as what she could learn by becoming a formal student.

Just think of Teacher Little Han; she was also a student here.

This was her role model, her goal!

Only by mastering such power could Ninglan New City be developed and armed, after all, she was the only person in the entire Ninglan New City qualified to enter Witch Academy.

She had not failed to fight for others to come along, but no one else was favored by Witch Academy, including Wu Mali, the frustrated president of the Extraordinary Technology Research Association.

In a sense… Wu Mali also escaped a calamity?

In short, Ninglan Qiuyue now arrived at Witch Academy as an ordinary student.

Everything here was very new to Ninglan Qiuyue.

Just the enrollment process took a long time.

Fortunately, a teacher led her through the procedures.

After the procedures were completed, when she didn’t know where to go, she headed straight to the Witch Academy’s library.

After all, even if she lacked common sense, she knew that to understand this world, or even Transcendent techniques and knowledge, going to the library was always the right choice.

After arriving here, she was also somewhat surprised to meet acquaintances here.

Although they weren’t particularly close, and she might even get their names wrong, the other person was friends with Tan Han, and she was quite familiar with Tan Han.

”You really became a student, then… what about Ninglan New City? I remember Ninglan Qiuyu…”

”I became the acting City Lord. I just finished my inauguration speech not long ago, but unfortunately, you all had left by then.”

”Ah? You became the City Lord? Congratulations!”

”There’s nothing to congratulate about.”

Ninglan Qiuyue shook her head, saying that although she had only experienced it for a few days, she already felt overwhelmed by the City Lord’s busy schedule.

”By the way, since you became City Lord, then why…”

”An acting City Lord, you know I wasn’t cultivated to be the future City Lord. I had no experience before this, so… essentially, Ninglan New City is managed by Witch Academy, and Ninglan New City is fully transforming to cooperate with Witch Academy, beginning to develop with a specific bias.”

When Ninglan New City established a connection with Witch Academy, Ninglan New City began to reduce its burden.

After all, at first, Ninglan New City operated as a standalone entity, needing to be proficient in everything to survive.

Now that it was connected, it could focus all its efforts on areas it excelled in, in exchange for equivalent resources, such as… food, water, and so on.

”Is that so? Then will we also have a chance to personally visit Ninglan New City in the future?”

”This… probably not for a short while. Ninglan New City hasn’t yet transitioned into a tourism-oriented service… if too many outsiders suddenly poured in, problems would arise, and there are our city regulations… and your world’s laws… you understand, right? If problems arise, it will strain relations.”

”Oh right, that’s true… Oh, we’ve only been talking about you. By the way, how long have you been at Witch Academy? Are you used to it yet?”

”I just arrived today. Actually, it hasn’t been long since I completed the procedures. I just wanted to come to the library to learn about your history, after all, many fundamental things can be analyzed through history. And by the way… see if I can learn any Transcendent techniques or something to bring back to Ninglan New City. You also know that we have the Extraordinary Technology Research Association there, right? Ever since Little Han spread Runology there, it sparked a new wave of interest in Transcendent techniques.”

”This… is really true. Is Big Sis Little Han’s influence so great wherever she goes?”

”By the way, since you’re here, let the two of us show you around. After all, we’ve been to the library many times. Just ask us if you need to find anything.”

”Thank you, there are indeed too many things here that I’m unfamiliar with. I appreciate your trouble, but… do the two of you not have your own things to do in the library?”

”We do, we do… Oh! By the way, Ninglan Qiuyue, in a few days there’s another round of monthly exams! How about… how about you don’t look at those history books for now and catch up on your classes first? At least… get through this monthly exam first, because it would be really embarrassing to get a zero if you don’t know anything. Those theoretical questions don’t even have multiple-choice options, so there’s no chance to rely on luck.”

”Monthly exam?”

Ninglan Qiuyue was also stunned to hear this. ”I seem to have heard the teacher who guided me say that I would have a theoretical monthly exam in a few days. I can be exempted from this one, but not next month.”

”Exem… exempted from the exam… Ah… so we’re the clowns?”

”Are the two of you making your final sprint for the monthly exam? Actually, if you two are in a hurry, I’m not yet at a stage where I absolutely need others to guide me. I can explore slowly on my own, or ask others.”

Ninglan Qiuyue said, there was no need for her to delay others’ intense revision time to help her with these trivial matters.

”No, no, no, it’s about balancing work and rest. My brain feels swollen from reviewing theoretical knowledge intensely just now.”

”Right! We need to slow down too.”

”Okay, anyway, thank you two in advance.”

Just like that, Ninglan Qiuyue, accompanied by the two, came to the library’s front desk to handle the borrowing procedures, discussing other things along the way.

”By the way, just out of curiosity, since you’ve become a student at Witch Academy, which class are you in?”

”Mm… Class 14.”

Ninglan Qiuyue said after a moment’s thought.

”Class 14? Huh?! Isn’t that Little Han’s class! Little Han is the class president of Class 14!”

”Mm, I know. I requested it when the classes were assigned, to be in the same class as Little Han. I’m also very curious what kind of class could produce someone like Little Han.”

”Ah? I thought it was a coincidence, but I think you might be overthinking it. Little Han has course exemptions, and most of the time the class is managed by the vice class president. Little Han is just exceptionally capable on her own, it has nothing to do with the class. I heard she hasn’t even attended many classes…”

”So that’s how it is.”

Ninglan Qiuyue showed no disappointment upon hearing this news.

After all, she knew very well that only through her own efforts could she truly succeed; a good learning environment was merely an addition.

If she were to stake everything on Little Han’s class, she might as well not come.

”By the way, just out of curiosity, since that time she returned, Big Sis Little Han hasn’t appeared. Is she still in Ninglan New City? What is she doing?”

”That… I’m not too sure, but it should be related to the academy. A mentor from the academy looked for Little Han, but I couldn’t inquire about the specific situation.”

”Is that so… Probably. At that time, Little Han, Big Sis Tan Han said she broke her Seed of Destiny. Could it be because of this?”

”Maybe. Big Sis Little Han’s attack was so terrifying. Could it have touched some bottom line of the academy?”

”Not sure.”

”Mm? Little Han… what happened to her? From what you’re saying, it sounds like…”

Ninglan Qiuyue couldn’t help but feel a little worried, listening to the two of them chatting so haphazardly.

”Oh! Nothing, the academy shouldn’t go that far. Little Han is the most formidable student in our batch; the academy definitely won’t punish her.”

”Punishment? It shouldn’t come to that, right? Those teachers who came, none of them showed serious expressions when mentioning Little Han, but rather… they smiled quite happily?”

”Alright… I knew Witch Academy likes people like Little Han.”

...

At the entrance of Witch Cat Cafe.

”Huh? Huh, huh!! These little darlings! Are they employees of the Witch Cat Cafe!”

Today, the various Witch Cat Cafes in Witch Academy welcomed new employees: members of the Fool’s Dream Clan.

The Witch Cat Cafe, which originally didn’t have a particularly high customer flow, was fully packed today.

Their petite figures, adorable demeanors, and the hint of shyness unconsciously revealed in an unfamiliar environment, along with their feigned brave and strong expressions, indeed attracted many passing senior sisters.

After all, who could refuse cute things?

Even if they could, which witch could refuse cats!

The Fool’s Dream employees could be said to have instantly delivered a critical hit to the preferences of many senior sisters.

”Yes. These little darlings are of the Fool’s Dream Clan, and each has her own name. It’s their first day working part-time at our Witch Cat Cafe, so they’re a bit shy. Please bear with them, esteemed guests.”

”And the Fool’s Dream employees are also working very hard to learn new skills… Hey, hey! This guest? Don’t touch our employees like that! The Fool’s Dream employees are proper staff, this is not allowed!”

”Phew… Esteemed guest, although I understand your impulsiveness, please don’t scare our employees. Also, please be mindful and don’t do anything inappropriate to the Fool’s Dream employees. If we find out, you will be permanently blacklisted from our Witch Cat Cafe. So please be self-aware.”

”Now, let one of our new little employees say a few words to everyone, shall we?”

”Tha… Thank you all… I… I will work hard!”

As the Fool’s Dream employee’s soft and adorable voice came out, the content of what she said was no longer important.

Just such a cute appearance and this soft voice had captivated the hearts of countless senior sisters.

At this moment, the senior sisters at the front desk also became busy, handling cat cards, receiving guests, taking orders, and providing services, etc.

They were swamped.

It wasn’t until a customer presented a Gold Cat Card that the senior sister at the front desk looked up in surprise, seeing the unfamiliar customer before her.

A delicate face was brimming with a gentle smile, a striking and rare head of white long hair cascaded behind her without appearing messy, and blood-red eyes watched the other person with a smile.

”Cu… Customer!”

She tremblingly accepted the Gold Cat Card, which was rarely seen.

At this moment, she only felt as if she had fallen in love.

Such a beautiful and wealthy young lady… she absolutely adored her!

But her duty as a front desk staff member still made her complete the registration.

”Customer, is this your first time here? You look very unfamiliar.”
