Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1436: Chapter 769: The Attack Approaches

“Everyone, news has come from the Floating Island; Kerry Technology Company’s support troops have arrived.”

Leader’s Mansion, Liang Yuan’s words instantly ignited the room.

Everyone showed signs of surprise.

“Kerry Technology Company’s support troops?”

“Mr. Liang, how many of them are there?”

“Are they going to wage war against us?”

“Nonsense, they attacked us at Yangshan last time and still haven’t tried to negotiate with us, they’ve even abandoned their airships, clearly not planning to let us off.”

“Hmph, it’s hard to say who won’t let the other off just yet! Mr. Liang, I request to go to the Floating Island to fight!”

“Me too!”

“Mr. Liang, I’m applying as well!”

In the conference room, many people angrily applied one after another, filled with righteous indignation.

Liang Yuan stretched out his hand, pressed it against the empty space, and said, “Calm down, we’ll discuss the detailed personnel arrangements later.”

“They’ve been quiet for half a month, now with support troops arriving, they’re probably starting preparations to take action.”

“It’s uncertain whether they’ll act directly or start with diplomacy and then move to force, seeking discussions with us.”

“We must prepare carefully.”

“Besides Kerry Technology Company, the Mengya Organization is likely to send people over soon.”

“Every now and then, they send people to check the situations on the Floating Island they control.”

“Based on timing, they should be coming soon.”

“By that time, we might face not only people from Kerry Technology Company but also individuals from this Mengya Company.”

Li Xiangyang couldn’t help but speak, “Mr. Liang, when Mengya Company sends people to inspect Flying Manta Island, if they don’t know it’s already under our control, they probably won’t send too many people this time.”

“We should find a way to seize the other side, and it will take some time for them to report back to Mengya Company’s headquarters.”

“During this time gap, we might deal with Kerry Technology Company first and capture Hell Island.”

“In this way, we won’t need to face both forces simultaneously.”

His words made many people nod in agreement.

“That’s a plan indeed.”

“Xiangyang’s idea is good.”

“It mainly depends on the Mengya Company’s message transmission speed.”

“If we detain their inspection personnel, the company headquarters receiving the news might take half a month to ten days, right? This time difference can be utilized.”

“So, our current biggest enemy remains Kerry Technology Company.”

Everyone spoke one after another, gradually confirming the plan.

The current primary task is to deal with Kerry Technology Company.

The meeting quickly made a decision, with the airship fleet swiftly heading for the Floating Island, ready to respond to Kerry Technology Company’s assault at any time.

Additionally, a portion of the airships on the Yangshan side must remain to prevent enemy sneak attacks.

Liang Yuan personally selected personnel, assembling them to accompany him into the Floating Island to prepare for battle.

This time he didn’t bring Ling Yurong but left him at the Yangshan base camp.

With Ling Yurong, a high-level expert with 40% progress in gene recombination, Liang Yuan needn’t worry about opponents having elite forces to assault Yangshan.

After finalizing the battle plan, Liang Yuan quickly went home for a visit.

At home, Yang Mei had already packed his clothes.

Song Wen and others had packed everything as well.

The whole house felt empty.

“Little brother, make sure you come back safely,” Yang Mei said softly.

Liang Yuan smiled and replied, “Don’t worry, as long as I want, no one can harm me.”

He looked around the house and said, “Move everything to the Mirage Snake Space; it’s no longer safe here.”

“A fight could break out any time, and when the floods rise, Yangshan might be submerged.”

Although the women were reluctant to leave this home, they still nodded in agreement.

Now everyone was gradually moving away from Yangshan; naturally, they had to move too.

After bidding farewell to the women, Liang Yuan and Tu Long boarded the airship and ascended above the clouds once again.

Rumble!

The sky was ablaze with thunder, with lightning flashing and thunder rolling.

Numerous lightning bolts crashed by, while the Yangshan fleet activated their protective shields.

Under the defense of the stabilizing rune, the terrifying lightning quickly disbanded and stabilized, ultimately being converted into electrical energy to charge the ship.

Liang Yuan gazed at the thunderstorm outside, feeling a bit eager to test if his current strength could withstand the power of lightning.

But ultimately, reason suppressed the competitive desire.

“Better not risk it; I’ll catch a few mutant beasts of similar strength and toss them into the thunderstorm to see.”

The ship quickly traversed the thunderstorm zone, rapidly passing through the dense black clouds to reach above the stratosphere.

Sunlight pierced through the white clouds, dyeing the surroundings a golden hue.

The dark cloud mass below resembled black land.

At a glance, it felt as if this was truly human world.

For the first time, Li Xiaojun, Zhou Pei, Ni Qi, Zhong Mountain and others atop the clouds were awestruck by the scene.

At this moment, they saw the sun they hadn’t seen for over two years!

It was akin to seeing the light again!

Everyone’s spirits lifted, their hearts feeling open and free.

“So this is what it’s like above the clouds!”

“Look quickly, there’s a giant bird!”

“There are so many giant mutant birds and beasts here!”

“Look over there, the Floating Island! It’s the Floating Island!”

“Oh my god, such a huge Floating Island!”

“Over there, there’s another one!”

“Heavens, who would have believed that there would be such a spectacle in the sky before the apocalypse?”

The crowd watched the scene in the sky, excitedly discussing among themselves.

Some even took out old world cell phones to start taking photos as souvenirs.

Liang Yuan did not stop them; he simply said, “Head to Flying Manta Island!”

“Roger that!”

Each captain immediately turned their ship to quickly follow the leading ship at the front.

The sound of ships cutting through the air kept coming, and soon nearly a hundred ships arrived over Flying Manta Island.

Liang Yuan looked down from the sky and saw that Flying Manta Island had undergone huge changes.

The area that originally belonged to the Flying Manta Island base had expanded more than tenfold.

All around, a huge Yangshan Heaven-locking Cannon Array was set up, sealing off an extensive area of forest.

At the airfield, Old Ma, Dr. Du, and others were already waiting there.

As nearly a hundred ships landed, Old Ma and the others broke into wide smiles.

“Great, with so many ships at once, our base’s security is assured,” Old Ma exclaimed excitedly.

Du Zhijie adjusted his glasses and said, “In terms of ship numbers, we now have as many as the support fleet from Kerry Technology.”

“Don’t worry, with Liang Yuan personally here, nothing will go wrong.”

Old Ma, having great confidence in Liang Yuan, laughed heartily and patted Du Zhijie on the shoulder, saying, “Come on, let’s go over to welcome them.”

At this time, Liang Yuan and the others also disembarked from the ships.

Upon meeting, Old Ma laughed and said, “Liang Yuan, with so many ships brought over, we can rest easy this time.”

“The support team from Kerry Technology only brought over a few dozen more ships.”

Liang Yuan chuckled and said, “Don’t get complacent. Since they sent people to support, it won’t be anyone simple. The ships are just one aspect; the real top battle will depend on the gene recombination experts.”

Ma Guocai laughed heartily, “No matter how powerful, can they be more powerful than you?”

Liang Yuan shook his head with a smile, “There are probably many experts in the northwest, and their development of Superpower Technology is far beyond ours. We shouldn’t underestimate them.”

“By the way, this time I also brought along many of our self-produced Sentry Robots.”

With that, Liang Yuan opened the Sumeru Space and released twenty Sentry Robots.

The Rune Technology content of the Sentry Robots was even higher than that of the ships.

Yangshan’s ships being gathered so quickly was not entirely due to the output of the Yangshan Arsenal.

Half of them were seized from enemies, including many developed by the military and then modified at the Yangshan Arsenal on site.

That’s why the number of ships was so large.

However, the Sentry Robots were entirely produced by the arsenal itself.

Not only was the production process difficult, but the experts who developed the mecha runes were also limited in number.

Although now the mechanization of consistent runes can be achieved with one-to-one ratio Stamping.

But the master copies still need to be provided by the experts of the research department.

Looking at these twenty huge Sentry Robots in front of them, both Old Ma and Du Zhijie were full of excitement.

“Are these Sentry Robots the same as the ones you fought with before? How is their Combat Power?” Du Zhijie hurriedly asked.

Liang Yuan nodded with a smile, “Yes, they are exactly the same in terms of technology, and we’ve made improvements.”

Old Ma clicked his tongue in wonder, “Good heavens, now that even robots are ready, when have we ever fought a war as well-prepared as this?”

Liang Yuan was also amused by his words.

Indeed, on his journey, he encountered many opponents and factions but had not been as well-off as he was now.

“Let’s go, let’s talk inside the base.”

Liang Yuan smiled as he led everyone toward the base.

These days, the base building had already expanded to a large scale, with huge floors inside. What was originally the base of the Mengya Company had been transformed into research rooms, with Du Zhijie here repairing ships and researching armored vehicles.

Every piece of this equipment was enormous.

Arriving at the meeting room, Liang Yuan looked at Old Ma and asked, “Old Ma, tell us about the specific situation on Kerry Technology’s side.”

Old Ma immediately nodded and said, “This morning, Kerry Technology suddenly had nearly two or three dozen ships entering and leaving Hell Island.”

“Our people have been watching them all the time, reporting back as soon as possible.”

“According to our investigation, those dozens of ships should have just flown in from the north. It can basically be confirmed as Kerry Technology’s support fleet.”

“Just before you arrived, about three ships deliberately flew over our Flying Manta Island for reconnaissance.”

“We forcibly expelled them, and after issuing a warning, they returned.”

“But not long after, two more ships came over, circling around Flying Manta Island before going back.”

“I suspect they’re probing our reality.”

“It probably won’t be long before they figure out our details and plan to take action.”

After listening, Liang Yuan had a cold smile on his face, “It seems they don’t intend to communicate, planning to attack outright.”

Du Zhijie analyzed, “I suspect they’re eager to capture Flying Manta Island. After all, this area originally belonged to Mengya Company.”

“The Kerry Technology Company probably had an agreement with Mengya Company, so although they were very close, each developed their Floating Islands without interfering with each other.”

“But now that we’ve taken over this Floating Island, they can’t sit still and probably want to seize it so Mengya Company won’t be able to demand it back from them.”

Liang Yuan nodded slightly, having guessed this point as well.

“Woo—”

The meeting had only been going on for a few minutes when suddenly alarms sounded throughout the whole base!

The shrill alarm sounds made everyone present change their expressions slightly.

Old Ma stood up abruptly and quickly said, “It’s the air defense alarm; the people from Kerry Technology are probably here again!”

Liang Yuan immediately stood up, saying in a deep voice, “Let’s go, let’s meet them!”

Next to him, Tu Long, Cheng Zhanpeng, and the others all showed expressions of excitement.

Everyone quickly followed Liang Yuan, leaving the building and swiftly heading to the airfield.
