Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1407: Chapter 740: Attack of the Germination Organization

“Huang Fa, Huang Fa, report your position.”

In the spaceship, Liang Yuan picked up the walkie-talkie, inquiring about the position of the spacecraft that went up first.

From the walkie-talkie, Huang Fa’s voice swiftly responded.

“Mr. Liang, I’m here, my position… 20km southeast.”

Liang Yuan looked at the map, but after the great flood, the landmarks were gone, and there were no reference points.

Thus, people from Yangshan used Yangshan as a reference point to distinguish directions: east, south, west, north.

Liang Yuan quickly found Huang Fa’s position and immediately asked, “What’s the situation over there now?”

“I discovered an uninhabited floating island, but the situation on the island is somewhat strange, Mr. Liang. I’m unsure if it’s safe to land.”

“Hold your position, we’re heading over now.”

Liang Yuan immediately ordered all spacecraft to fly towards Huang Fa’s location.

The spacecraft roared, traversing through the sky.

All spacecraft activated invisible mode to avoid being targeted by airborne mutant beasts.

Twenty kilometers is not far; at the speed of the spacecraft, it took only five minutes to arrive.

However, this distance.

Ahead appeared a gigantic floating island.

This floating island looked somewhat like a coiled giant snake, with a spiral mountain shape, layered structures, roughly twelve levels, broader at the bottom and narrower at the top, with the surface already covered with numerous rocks and trees.

From afar, it looked like a small mountain floating in the air.

As the spaceship approached, Liang Yuan carefully observed the mountain and asked, “Did you discover anything?”

On the other end of the walkie-talkie, Huang Fa answered, “Mr. Liang, please look closely at those forests; there are many giant pythons.”

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan immediately ordered someone to bring a telescope to gaze at this floating mountain.

Through the telescope, Liang Yuan indeed discovered something unusual.

Between those rocky forests, large numbers of giant pythons were coiled among the trees and rocks.

Dense and startling in number.

“This is completely a snake island.”

Beside him, Du Zhijie couldn’t help but comment.

Tu Long then spoke up, “Mr. Liang, these should be mutant creatures; I’ve noticed some pythons emitting abnormal glows.”

Old Ma also held a telescope, frowned at the mountain shape, and said, “The mountain is too steep; constructing a base would likely require building inside a cave.”

“But we haven’t measured the soil depth here; it might not be suitable for base construction.”

You must know, these floating islands are essentially formed by the corpses of giant beasts.

The outer rocks and trees are caused by long-term floating, forming soil and rock layers as debris accumulates.

It’s bound that the rock and soil layers wouldn’t be too deep.

Digging deeper would reach the flesh of the giant beast.

Of course, you could also build a base inside the world of the giant beast, but there’s a problem: there’s no sunlight, soil, or even water source internally,

and it would be a closed space; without air circulation, survival is difficult with just the residual air inside.

Thus, the internal world is certainly unfit for living.

Liang Yuan thought for a moment and said, “Don’t rush, continue searching; with so many floating islands up here, surely there are terrains more gentle.”

“Remember, try to find near the vertical space of Yangshan.”

This is crucial; the vertical space above Yangshan must be controlled by Yangshan’s own people.

Otherwise, if it’s occupied by others, they could easily attack Yangshan from above, making Yangshan a sitting target.

“Yes, Mr. Liang!”

Ten spacecraft received Liang Yuan’s orders and quickly began searching for suitable locations nearby.

Soon, Huang Fa’s spacecraft found the suitable target location first.

“Report, I’ve discovered a large floating island about 40 kilometers northwest of Yangshan.”

Liang Yuan immediately said, “I’ll go take a look.”

With a command from Liang Yuan, all Yangshan No. 2 series spacecraft swiftly converged on Huang Fa’s reported location.

Soon, Liang Yuan saw a massive, gigantic floating island appear in his view.

This massive floating island had a triangular shape, similar to a manta ray in the sea.

The entire terrain was very flat, resembling a huge plain.

Half of it hid in the mist, the surface comprised dense forests, rocks, mountains, and rivers—everything present.

Liang Yuan estimated its size; it should exceed twenty square kilometers, about the area of two Yangshan mountains!

And this was before Yangshan was submerged by the flood!

Liang Yuan’s eyes revealed a gleam: “This floating island is quite good.”

Old Ma immediately said, “The terrain is flat, high in the middle, low around, not easy for water to accumulate, with evenly distributed forests, rocks, and flowing rivers—indeed an excellent base candidate.”

Beside him, Du Zhijie nodded in agreement: “The area is also big enough; it can completely accommodate the populations of Yangshan, Meishan, and Jueyun Slope. Even the populations from several mountains in Guangfu can fit.”

Liang Yuan said, “Let’s not consider these for now; follow me up, let’s see if this island is suitable for inhabiting and if there’s any danger.”

“All spacecraft captains follow orders to search for flat areas to dock and stay alert.”

“Understood!”

“Received!”

Ten spacecraft quickly responded, then swiftly approached the floating island ahead.

Just as they neared the floating island’s airspace, suddenly a massive defense shield barrier lit up on the island!

Then, several beams of light shot explosively towards them!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

“Be careful!”

“Enemy attack!”

Everyone was shocked and furious, exclaiming angrily.

Liang Yuan frowning upon seeing this.

“Has this floating island been occupied?”

Old Ma immediately checked the geographical location and said, “Liang Yuan, this floating island is too close to the vertical airspace of Yangshan.”

“If occupied by others, it would pose a significant threat to Yangshan.”

Tu Long also quickly said, “Mr. Liang, we cannot let outsiders occupy this place.”

With the spacecraft’s defense shields opened, those booming energy beams were immediately blocked outside.

The spacecraft swiftly bypassed the light beams, rapidly avoiding enemy lock-on.

Without a word, Liang Yuan immediately said, “Force landing!”

“Understood!”

Ten spaceships immediately scattered quickly, swiftly beginning to find opportunities to land.

Meanwhile, within the distant light screen covered by a defense shield, dozens of spaceships flew out at high speed.

These spaceships came out and immediately started attacking the spaceships on the Yangshan side.

Liang Yuan looked towards the opponent’s spaceship and saw the obvious Mengya logo on it.

He understood immediately.

“It’s the Mengya Organization’s spaceship!”

Liang Yuan’s expression turned serious, and he quickly thought of a problem: this place is more than forty kilometers from Yangshan, roughly close to the military’s vertical airspace over Cloud Mist Island.

Could it be that the military’s spaceships encountered these people from Mengya Company?

“Hmph, as tyrannical as expected.”

Liang Yuan sneered, the opponent launched an attack directly without any greeting, truly ruthless.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The spaceship swiftly changed direction, continuously drawing curves in the air, then quickly dove into the forest.

Buzz!

The spaceship powered down while rapidly activating the camouflage device.

In this way, without the energy drive, the opponent should not be able to capture a static spaceship using the radar system.

Liang Yuan ordered directly, “Open the hatch.”

“Understood!”

The spaceship’s hatch opened quickly, Liang Yuan led Tu Long, Du Zhijie, Old Ma, and others swiftly off the ship.

This spaceship carried a total of eight people, with the remaining four being crew members.

They were all fully armed, holding superpower weapons, vigilant of the surroundings.

Liang Yuan released his spiritual power, scanning in all directions, “It’s safe.”

“They are probably attracted by our other spaceships,” Tu Long said.

Liang Yuan nodded slightly, “Old Ma, Dr. Du, and the rest of you, return to the Sumeru space first. I’ll find a way to enter the opponent’s base with Tu Long, we’ll strike directly at the bottom.”

“Alright!”

“Yes!”

Liang Yuan opened the Sumeru space and sent several people in.

Then it was just Liang Yuan and Tu Long left in the forest.

Tu Long had a hint of excitement on his face, “Mr. Liang, what’s our plan?”

“Let’s go directly to the opponent’s base.”

“I’ll test the waters first and see if there are any experts on the opponent’s side,” Tu Long immediately volunteered.

Liang Yuan nodded slightly, “Let’s go.”

The two quickly advanced toward the direction of the earlier defense shield.

Within a few minutes, they arrived at a huge base.

Built against a mountain, this huge base occupied a space about the size of a football field, surrounded by towering giant trees, lush and green.

A giant hemispherical defense shield covered the ground, enveloping the entire base.

Tall walls were built around, with countless runes forming enchanted arrays.

The base’s defense shield was precisely formed by these runes activated on the walls.

On the walls, at regular intervals, were large energy cannon placements.

The cannon mouths were currently all aimed at the sky, seemingly targeting something.

“Were these the energy cannons that attacked our spaceship just now?” Tu Long asked quietly.

Liang Yuan nodded slightly, “The power of these energy cannons is not great, far less than a thunderstorm.”

“With the spaceship defense shield constructed by Stabilization Runes, this level of energy cannon can’t penetrate our spaceship.”

“Mr. Liang, there don’t seem to be many people inside,” Tu Long whispered after looking around.

From the wall, indeed, there were few people visible, but inside the walls, who knows how many people are there.

Liang Yuan said, “I’ll sneak in and take a look, you stay outside and support.”

“Understood.”

With that, Liang Yuan immediately flashed, directly using Earth Escape to rapidly dive underground.

Though the defense shield covered the base from above, it might not necessarily have defense ability underground.

Getting close to the defense shield, as expected, there was indeed no defense underground.

Liang Yuan swiftly entered the interior of the base walls, then emerged from the ground, transforming into a shadow, hiding in an empty spot.

He looked around, observing the entire base.

On seeing this, Liang Yuan was shocked.

The entire base really had very few people; in the open space, many spaceships were parked.

The most surprising to Liang Yuan were the many robots among the people coming and going!

“Robots?”

He looked slightly grave, “How could there be robots? Has the Mengya Company’s technology level already reached this extent?”

In this base, the humanoid creatures walking around were mostly mechanical.

Keep in mind that before the Great Flood, humans hadn’t produced humanoid robots on a large scale.

How is it possible that after the Great Flood, such humanoid robots have appeared?

This made Liang Yuan feel incredible.

The emergence of superpowers, has it possibly driven technological progress?

Liang Yuan’s figure hid in the shadows, his eyes observing the robot patrol team nearby.

These robots were generally around 2.5 meters tall, larger than ordinary humans, their mechanical structures not too complex, equipped with obvious turrets, firearms, and other items.

Liang Yuan noticed numerous rune devices driving their weapons and bodies.

“Seems they’ve indeed used rune technology.”

“What kind of force is this Mengya Organization?”

Liang Yuan frowned, then shifted his gaze to the black building built against the mountain not far away.

In the entire base, that black building was the highest, with all the outside workers being robots. It’s unknown if there are any living people inside the building.

Thinking of this, he flashed swiftly, approaching the black building.
