Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1405: Chapter 738: Floating Island Project

In the end, Feng Jiangong still signed this Bone Covenant.

From then on, he was officially one of Yangshan’s members.

“Mr. Liang, I’m going back to Cloud Mist Island to pack up, then I’ll officially leave the military.” Feng Jiangong said solemnly.

Evidently, he was very determined to accelerate the gene recombination process.

Liang Yuan nodded slightly, “Go ahead, be careful of Zhang Yujiang, he might not let you leave easily.”

Feng Jiangong chuckled, “I have my ambitions. After all these years, I’ve done a lot for the military. Even if he doesn’t want me to leave, he has no reason to stop me.”

“Besides, we’ve been friends for years. He wouldn’t turn against me.”

“I just hope he makes a decision soon. After I leave, it’ll be even harder for them to deal with Mengya Company.”

Liang Yuan gave Feng Jiangong a long look, “You’re underestimating your old commander.”

“While you’re thinking he can’t withstand Mengya Company’s firepower, he might have already planned his retreat.”

Feng Jiangong was stunned, “How could that be?”

“You should visit his underwater base when you have the chance.”

“Maybe he’s long been planning to start anew.”

Liang Yuan shook his head, ending the conversation, “Go ahead, after packing up, come find me at Yangshan.”

“Alright!”

Feng Jiangong agreed and quickly left Miyuan Rainforest.

On Liang Yuan’s side, he also gave Zhao Kai some instructions and then hurriedly returned to Yangshan.

He had to prepare for the launch plan of Yangshan No. 2 spaceship.

Now that Mutant Beasts were ready, the next step was to find a Floating Island, find a way to claim it as a base, and deal with potential adversaries like Mengya Company!

The next morning at Yangshan, in the research department.

The new disc-shaped Yangshan No. 2 spaceship was ready.

Li Hanzhong and others gathered in the conference room, looking serious.

“Mr. Liang, the first spaceship is ready, shall we launch now?”

Liang Yuan nodded, “Launch it.”

With Liang Yuan’s orders, the Yangshan No. 2 spaceship immediately received the command, shooting up into the sky, directly towards the thunderstorms.

Rumbling sounds!

The thunderclouds roared with thunderbolt sounds, and the storm bombarded Yangshan No. 2 spaceship’s surface.

However, the surface of Yangshan No. 2 spaceship quickly lit up numerous runes, forming a strange shield.

The high-voltage of the thunderstorm was immediately diluted by the shield, then absorbed by Yangshan No. 2, converted into electricity to energize the spaceship’s propulsion system!

“Success! Success!”

“The high-voltage lightning conversion system succeeded!”

“Huang Fa, start the self-check system to check all functions of the spaceship.”

Xu Huang, now an experienced pilot, quickly issued commands.

Huang Fa was a second-generation pilot trained at Yangshan, his mentor was the Yangshan No. 1 pilot Xu Huang.

Xu Huang and others were the first batch of pilot volunteers, gaining immense glory after the successful experiments.

Liang Yuan did not mistreat them, offering the best conditions and appointing them as flight instructors.

Now Xu Huang and others not only successfully joined Yangshan, become one of Yangshan, their families moved into Mirage Snake Space, enjoying the shelter of Yangshan Shelter.

Not only that, Xu Huang and others even became veterans of the flying forces, no longer needing to undertake high-risk flight missions, but training the next generation of pilots.

Liang Yuan’s actions were not because Xu Huang and others had extraordinary flying skills.

He merely wanted to clearly show outsiders one thing.

Anyone who contributes to Yangshan and is willing to give to Yangshan will not be mistreated.

This is essentially ‘spending a fortune to buy loyalty,’ which Liang Yuan sought to achieve.

In fact, Liang Yuan’s efforts paid off very well.

Previously, no one dared to sign up for pilot missions, now many scrambled to join Yangshan No. 2’s test flight program.

Everyone knew Yangshan wouldn’t mistreat pilots, the benefits for pilots were far better than those of ordinary patrol team members.

Apart from encouraging sign-ups, pilots faced greater dangers in the sky.

Furthermore, spaceships cost extremely high, thus higher requirements for pilot’s quality.

Hence pilot selection would be merit-based, so naturally, superior individuals received better benefits.

Huang Fa was one of the most outstanding chosen ones.

He wasn’t from the refugee camp outside, but was originally a patrol team member.

He was a rare Earth Attribute Elemental Ability User.

In pursuit of personal development, he resolutely joined the pilot selection.

Finally emerging victoriously, now he became the captain of the first spaceship in Yangshan No. 2 series.

At the moment receiving the order, Huang Fa promptly began the spaceship self-check.

After a series of operations, he breathed a sigh of relief, quickly responding, “This is Yangshan No. 2, spaceship self-check complete, all systems are intact.”

Upon hearing the response, everyone in Yangshan’s research department conference room relaxed, smiling.

Liang Yuan said, “Commence the experiment.”

Li Hanzhong said, “Deploy No. 1 experimental subject.”

“Yes!”

Huang Fa swiftly opened the hatch, mechanical arms extended out, casting a box engraved with a Sealing Rune.

Bang!

The moment the box left the shield, it was struck by terrifying thunderbolts.

Instantly, the box exploded, revealing inside a red mutant fish.

Although there is a Sealing Rune on the box, the lightning in nature clearly doesn’t fall within the scope of Superpower, and under the surge of thunderclouds, the Sealing Rune can’t resist at all.

Instead, the red mutant fish inside cannot use its Superpower and is sealed within.

But now the box has shattered, and the mutant fish immediately burrowed out.

Before the mutant fish could realize where it was, a massive amount of lightning roared and struck down around it.

Its scales instinctively lit up with beams of light, forming protective energy shields.

Rumble!

Countless Thunderbolts fell on the mutant fish’s body.

The red energy shield was instantly smashed to smithereens, and the entire red mutant fish was immediately blasted into charred charcoal.

Before it could free-fall, it had already turned to ashes.

Through the lens broadcast, Liang Yuan, watching this scene, frowned slightly.

“The intensity of the thunderstorm exceeds my expectations. Even a purely Physical Class mutant creature, with a gene recombination level of 20%, finds it hard to resist this level of thunderstorm attack.”

“Activate Experiment No. 2.”

Liang Yuan said.

Subsequently, Experiment No. 2 Mutant Lobster, Experiment No. 3 Mutant Seahorse, and Experiment No. 4 Mutant Crab were successively sent into the thunderstorm.

Among them, the Earth Attribute Experiment No. 4 Mutant Crab obviously had stronger resistance, but it also couldn’t last long.

In less than ten seconds, it was blasted into charcoal.

Li Hanzhong, witnessing this scene from the side, said: “Mr. Liang, under such thunderstorms, why not conduct targeted experiments with Thunder Attribute or insulation attribute mutant beasts?”

Liang Yuan smiled bitterly: “The mutant beasts you mentioned are already rare, not to mention those of Genetic Reorganization Level. I’ve searched for a long time and haven’t found any.”

Li Hanzhong rubbed his chin and said: “Indeed, Thunder Attribute Superpower User, in our entire Shelter, there’s only Dong Jie and that girl, Qiu Yingyue.”

“As for insulation class Superpower, most belong to Physical Class. I’ve heard that Yangshan once had a leader named Li Yuefeng with a Rubber Superpower? I wonder if this ability can withstand the thunderstorm.”

Liang Yuan, hearing this, was slightly moved. Li Yuefeng’s Rubber Superpower indeed is insulating, but whether the rubber’s resistance can withstand the thunderstorm yet to be verified.

“Wait, my [Golden Hair Hou] Talent Ability seems to also relate to lightning.”

Liang Yuan suddenly remembered that his Golden Hair Hou talent was called ‘Golden Armor Devours Thunder’, a capability that not only provides Golden Hair Hou with strong defense but can also devour lightning to strengthen itself.

“Just uncertain about the limit of this devouring ability, whether it can digest the high-intensity thunderstorms within the thunderclouds.”

“Use a village-level generator to conduct an experiment later.”

Liang Yuan thought of this and settled his mind.

At this moment, the airship had already broken through the clouds, re-entering high altitude.

The camera captured numerous Floating Islands floating in the void, countless gigantic mutant beasts flew between different Floating Islands to hunt.

As the camera swept over those Floating Islands, Li Hanzhong was immediately shocked, “Mr. Liang, look, several Floating Islands have defense shields over them.”

“Have these been occupied?”

“Are these people from Mengya Company?”

Liang Yuan also frowned deeply, realizing that more and more Floating Islands have been occupied.

If Yangshan is delayed any longer, I’m afraid not a single Floating Island can be seized.

Thinking of this, Liang Yuan immediately said: “Prepare the airship, I want to personally go up to the sky.”

Li Hanzhong was startled to hear this, “Mr. Liang, isn’t it risky? Let others go and explore first.”

Liang Yuan shook his head: “Time waits for no one, our airship has confirmed it can safely pass through the thunderclouds, so we should promptly execute the Floating Island development plan.”

“Seizing a Floating Island early allows us to take the initiative.”

Upon hearing this, Li Hanzhong saw that he couldn’t persuade Liang Yuan and could only sigh, and immediately notified the preparation of the second airship.

Liang Yuan said: “Go find Old Ma, Tu Long, and the others.”

Upon hearing this, Li Hanzhong quickly asked: “Is it for implementing the [Floating Island Base Construction Plan]?”

Liang Yuan nodded slightly. This plan had been brought up in previous meetings.

At that time, Liang Yuan had already determined to seize a Floating Island and build the Yangshan Aerial Base.

And the construction process of this base was not something he could solve alone.

It required Old Ma’s construction team to join.

Additionally, various defense Arrays, patrol teams, and weaponry needed to be brought up.

The core of this plan lay in two points: First, the airship could successfully pass through the thunderclouds to find an unoccupied Floating Island.

Second, how to bring so many people up there.

The airship was not very large, so it couldn’t hold too many people.

However, as a Space Superpower User, Liang Yuan’s Sumeru Space allowed him to carry hundreds of people at once.

Now with the successful launch of the airship, these two issues were no longer problems.

So this plan could be immediately implemented.

With Liang Yuan’s order, Yangshan immediately bustled with activity.

Old Ma quickly led many Earth Attribute Superpower Users from the construction department over.

With these Earth Attribute Superpower Users joining, the base could be constructed to a considerable scale in less than a day.

Next, some researchers from the R&D department needed to be brought along to oversee the Rune Array setup, crucial for the construction of the base’s defense shield.

Besides, a large contingent of patrol personnel was required, mainly to safeguard base security and prevent enemy disturbances during base construction.

Of course, more Superpower Weapons would need to be transported up later to enhance base defense construction.

But that was for later. The urgent task was to quickly pass through the clouds and occupy a Floating Island.

Soon, Tu Long and Old Ma swiftly arrived.

They were evidently aware of the Floating Island plan long ago, so they showed no surprise but rather a trace of excitement upon arriving.

“Mr. Liang, are we finally heading to the sky?” Tu Long asked excitedly.

Old Ma took a deep breath and said, “Once we pass through the clouds, will the secrets behind this flood be revealed?”
