Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1138: Chapter 481: Level One Battle Readiness

Half a day ago, Yangshan.

Sunshine Room Inspection Department.

Zhuang Shuyuan looked at the pieces of intelligence, her expression solemn.

She carefully extracted several documents, then pulled out a few more from the drawer.

After comparing them, Zhuang Shuyuan’s face became increasingly grim.

Thinking it over, she put away the documents and quickly headed to the command center.

Command center.

Ever since Liang Yuan left, Zhao Kai had temporarily moved to the command center to take charge.

The military area on Meishan was temporarily handed over to Shi Haizhu.

At this moment, Zhao Kai was worrying about the situation at Lingyun Slope.

The departure of Li Qinghua and others had left him somewhat helpless.

However, Li Qinghua and the others had resigned from the patrol team positions long ago, allowing them to arrange their own time, so Zhao Kai couldn’t interfere too much.

Originally, Li Qinghua’s Qinghua Paper Mill had the dual responsibility of guarding Lingyun Slope in that area.

Now that Li Qinghua was gone, he had to reorganize manpower to assist Qinghua Paper Mill.

As he contemplated, the door was knocked.

Zhao Kai snapped back to reality and said, ”Enter.”

The door opened, and Zhuang Shuyuan came in.

Zhao Kai saw Zhuang Shuyuan and couldn’t help but be slightly surprised before asking, ”Miss Zhuang, why are you here?”

Zhuang Shuyuan’s expression was grave and she said, ”I have urgent matters to report. Where’s Mr. Liang?”

Zhao Kai did not answer but asked, ”What matters? Tell me first.”

Few knew about Liang Yuan leaving Yangshan to look for Jiang Ziyin.

He left hastily, even Zhuang Shuyuan, who managed the intelligence unit, did not know his whereabouts.

Zhuang Shuyuan frowned, but remembering Zhao Kai was Liang Yuan’s confidant, she set aside her concerns and said seriously, ”Recently, a church has emerged in Yangshan, tempting many residents to join.”

Zhao Kai was stunned: ”Church? What church?”

”Water God Sect!”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Kai’s brow furrowed; the name sounded familiar.

Zhuang Shuyuan reminded him, ”Water God Sect is one of Guangfu’s Three Great Sects, with great authority in Guangfu. After Mr. Liang returned, he specially instructed our Inspection Department to organize related information about Guangfu and keep it on record.”

Zhao Kai was startled, a sect from Guangfu!

”How could a church from Guangfu reach our Yangshan?”

”Unclear, but according to investigations from the Inspection Department, those joining the Water God Sect seem to have family members suspected of virus infection.”

”However, instead of going to the quarantine chamber, they stayed at home for self-isolation.”

”Nonsense!”

Hearing this, Zhao Kai immediately became furious; given the high infectiousness of the virus, how could these people dare to stay home for self-isolation?

”Are they playing with their lives? Do they not understand how strong and rapid this virus spreads?”

However, Zhuang Shuyuan shook her head and said, ”No. According to the feedback from Wu Ying and others, those joining the Water God Sect are not only uninfected but self-healed.”

”What!”

Zhao Kai was shocked and asked, ”How did they self-heal? Did the Water God Sect provide medication?”

Zhuang Shuyuan shook her head: ”The people of the Water God Sect use talisman paper, burn it to ashes, and mix it for the patients to consume.”

”We have not obtained such talisman paper yet, but I feel something peculiar is behind this.”

”The appearance of these Water God Sect people is too coincidental!”

Zhao Kai also became serious and said, ”Is the Water God Sect expanding quickly in Yangshan now?”

”Very quickly, many have joined already.”

”And many are deeply devoted to the Water God.”

”I suspect the Water God Sect has other methods of mind control.”

Zhuang Shuyuan’s words made Zhao Kai look even more solemn.

Thinking for a moment, he suddenly raised his head and said, ”Miss Zhuang, what is your suggestion?”

Zhuang Shuyuan’s expression was serious, her eyes sharp as she said, ”My suggestion is to immediately capture all the adherents of the Water God Sect!”

”Regardless of their purpose, we must wait for Mr. Liang’s return to make a decision.”

”We must not let the Water God Sect continue to grow!”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Kai remembered Liang Yuan’s instructions before leaving.

His current task was to maintain Yangshan’s stability!

Thinking of this, he immediately nodded: ”Alright, then notify Wu Ying to lead the Inspection Department and capture all Water God Sect adherents.”

”Also, issue orders that Yangshan residents must not worship the Water God Sect!”

Zhuang Shuyuan nodded, breathed a sigh of relief, and said, ”I’ll notify Wu Ying right now.”

She turned to leave, but at that moment, urgent footsteps approached.

”Captain Zhao, something’s wrong!”

Then Monsoon rushed in anxiously.

Upon seeing him, Zhao Kai’s brow furrowed, and he asked, ”What’s wrong now?”

Monsoon said anxiously, ”Captain Zhao, news from Gouwu Pavilion reports many ships approaching Yangshan, and they’ve already surrounded it!”

”What!” Zhao Kai was shocked, a chill instantly crawled up his spine, making his scalp tingle.

He exchanged a glance with Zhuang Shuyuan, immediately sensing something amiss.

The island had just seen the rise of Water God Sect preachers, and yet, there were now many ships outside.

He hastily set aside the Water God Sect matters and immediately said, ”Issue orders, all personnel in the command center get ready, Yangshan is entering Level One alert status!”

”Miss Zhuang, quickly notify Wu Ying, capture the Water God Sect followers in Yangshan.”

”Monsoon, send out Gale Camp personnel, and notify all units to enter combat readiness state!”

”Yes!”

”Also, tell Old Ma from the construction engineering department to take people to guard Lingyun Slope immediately!”

”Yes!”

Monsoon received the order, ready to leave immediately.

”Wait!”

Zhao Kai quickly stopped Monsoon and commanded, ”Have all command center leaders gather immediately at President No. 7 for a meeting!”

”Understood!”

Zhuang Shuyuan also said, ”I will arrange matters for the Inspection Department right now and then head to President No. 7.”

Zhao Kai nodded, ”I’ll go check things out at President No. 7 first.”

——

”The land is dead, the tide is eternal!”

”Breathing is a sin, only drowning is sanctified!”

At the foot of Yangshan, naval ships gathered around Floating Bridge Port.

On the warships, cries and songs continuously resonated.

Outside Floating Bridge Port, a forest of naval ships stood, with President No. 7 guarding the harbor.

The patrol team personnel were stationed along the coasts of Yangshan, Meishan, and Lingyun Slope.

On President No. 7, Yangshan’s leadership was gathered here.

Zhao Kai stood on the deck, holding binoculars, looking at the warships outside Yangshan with an extremely grave expression.

Nearby, Yang Shenmin also appeared solemn, saying, ”These warships seem to not belong to just one faction; their flags are different.”

Yang Youwei, with just one arm, also watched the warships on the water, speaking sternly, ”There are three types of flags; it looks like there are three factions.”

”Does anyone recognize the flags on those ships?” Zhao Kai asked in a deep voice.

The people present all shook their heads slightly.

They had long lived in Yangshan and hadn’t traveled much, so naturally, they didn’t know the flags of Guangfu’s Three Great Sects.

Zhuang Shuyuan looked for a while and suddenly said, ”There’s a flag with three tides there; it seems to be the flag of the Water God Sect!”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Kai quickly asked, ”Are you sure?”

Zhuang Shuyuan nodded, saying, ”Wu Ying just found this flag at the home of a Water God Sect believer.”

”Water God Sect... could it be that the other two flags belong to the Earth Mother Sect and the Spiritual Ability Sect?” Song Wen immediately said in surprise.

Liang Yuan had mentioned some situations in Guangfu to them, and Song Wen and the others knew the names of the Three Great Sects.

Yang Mei couldn’t help but say, ”We in Yangshan have no grievances with Guangfu’s Three Great Sects, what are they trying to do?”

Han Xiangman’s face darkened, saying, ”I’m afraid they’re eyeing the resources we have here.”

She had been to Mist City with Liang Yuan, understanding more about the actions of the Three Great Sects.

The Spiritual Ability Sect captured survivors everywhere, and many people from Qiu Yingyue’s community were taken by the Spiritual Ability Sect.

As for the Earth Mother Sect, it’s needless to say; when they invaded Mist City, they secretly evangelized and then launched attacks.

These were things she personally experienced, so she knew quite clearly.

Though it was her first encounter with the Water God Sect, judging by the conduct of the other two sects, this Water God Sect is likely no good either.

Everyone’s expressions were grave, and Zhao Kai felt anxious as well.

He said in a deep voice, ”No matter the circumstances, let everyone prepare for battle!”

After speaking, he turned his head towards Li Hanzhong in the distance, asking, ”Is the Research Department ready?”

Li Hanzhong nodded slightly, ”President No. 7 is fully equipped with the Golden Armor Defense System, and also fitted with the Sealing Array Reflector.”

”The other warships are similarly equipped and have Spiritual Energy Cannons.”

”However, time is tight; only five ships have been configured this way.”

It’s worth noting that Liang Yuan brought back dozens of ships from Mist City, and Yangshan itself is building ships.

But there are only over twenty that can accommodate more than a hundred people as warships.

Even with the Research Department and Building Department rushing, only five ships were fully armed over the past month or so.

This was mainly due to Liang Yuan’s determination to build a naval fleet, speeding up progress deliberately.

Otherwise, today, there might not even be five available warships.

Upon hearing Li Hanzhong’s words, Zhao Kai’s expression became grave.

He instantly realized that this was going to be a tough battle!

Their opposing fleet had dozens of ships, while Yangshan had only five—it was going to be a tough fight.

As they spoke, a small boat from the Three Great Sects broke through the waves, speeding towards them.

On the small boat stood a man in a blue gown, hooded, wearing a mask on his face.

Beside him was a short middle-aged man clad in earth-colored armor and a robust, shirtless man.

The small boat halted a hundred meters from President No. 7.

The man in the blue gown waved his hand, and with a loud sound, a wave surged up.

The massive wave instantly propelled the small boat into the sky.

He then loudly declared, ”The Water God Sect, Earth Mother Sect, and Spiritual Ability Sect have arrived at Yangshan; who among you is the Yangshan Leader? Come out and speak!”

His first words carried an air of arrogance.

On President No. 7, people frowned deeply.

Zhao Kai’s eyes flickered, unwilling to underestimate Yangshan’s momentum.

Zhuang Shuyuan immediately whispered, ”Don’t act rashly, stall for time, wait for Mr. Liang to return.”

Zhao Kai, upon hearing, nodded slightly.

He stepped forward and shouted in a deep voice, ”It’s a surprise to have the Three Great Sects grace Yangshan; I am Zhao Kai. May I ask what business the three of you have here?”

In a glance, the masked man in the blue gown flashed eyes of a strange red color.

On the other side, the robust man also wore a monocle, scanning Zhao Kai.

And the middle-aged man in earth-colored armor similarly wore a monocle, emitting a peculiar light.

The three of them, in unison, used their Spiritual Ability Glasses to assess Zhao Kai’s strength!

Zhao Kai’s face darkened slightly, looking somewhat displeased.

Such blatant examination of his main attribute clearly indicated the other party did not care about him at all.
