Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1129: Chapter 473: Spirit Jade Island Is Not an Island!

The sky was getting light, with thunder and rain intermingling in the sky, and dark clouds densely gathered.

Liang Yuan didn’t wear a watch. In fact, for people in the apocalypse, time had already lost all meaning.

To be alive, every extra minute counted.

Honestly, daytime obviously allowed people to relax more than nighttime.

On the battleship of the Water God Sect, Liang Yuan opened his eyes, his expression beneath the mask calm and impassive.

After a night of investigation, he gradually unraveled the organizational structure of the Water God Sect.

The Water God Sect worships the Water God, with its core doctrine being the ’Threefold Theory of Rebirth and Extinction’.

The so-called Threefold Theory of Rebirth and Extinction refers to the three phases: ’First Tide’, ’Eternal Abyss’, and ’Gui Xu’.

Followers of the Water God Sect claim that during the First Tide stage, the Divine Being will cleanse human arrogance with floods, and only the devout believers of the Water God can be reborn from drowning.

Eternal Abyss signifies that the ocean will eventually devour the land, requiring believers to transform their bodies to adapt to the deep-sea era.

Gui Xu is when all civilizations sink to the seabed, and the Divine Being will restart the cycle of life.

This apocalyptic theory has gained numerous followers in Guangfu, with many believing in the Water God.

Of course, the foundation of the Three Great Sects is fundamentally apocalyptic theories.

The Earth Mother Sect is the same, utilizing people’s fear of the apocalypse to establish their sect.

Liang Yuan knew in his heart that as the apocalypse approached, these cults like ghosts and demons would emerge.

Despite seeming novel, upon deeper understanding, Liang Yuan noticed that behind the doctrines of this church were many cobbled-together elements.

The Water God Sect even incorporated many elements from the Cthulhu Mythos to embellish the mutant beasts in the floods.

You might laugh, but indeed, many people believed this.

At least on this ship, Liang Yuan saw many ordinary followers deeply convinced of the Water God’s existence.

Liang Yuan thought about how many of these people displayed bodily mutations, with faces beneath masks growing scales, gills, and other organs.

This might also be one reason affecting the minds of ordinary people.

If one truly had gill-like organs, they needn’t worry about drowning in floods.

It remains unknown whether these gill organs allow them, like aquatic creatures, to completely escape the constraint of oxygen and breathe underwater.

”Woo—”

Just as Liang Yuan pondered, the ship suddenly began to slow, with a whistle sound echoing.

Liang Yuan looked up and saw many people in blue robes emerging from rooms onto the deck.

He quickly rose, straightening his robe, and joined the crowd.

The man clad as a leader, a brawny man in blue robes, sternly commanded, ”The Three Elements Building is reached, Chu Ming, Wang Jian, have the leader of the Three Elements Building come aboard to see me.”

In the crowd, two Blue Robe Envoys immediately stepped forward.

”Yes, sir!”

Both responded, then leapt into the floodwater.

Yet, they didn’t sink into the water; instead, the waves rose, swiftly carrying the two towards the nearby building.

”Two Water Attribute Superpower Users!”

Liang Yuan’s eyes flickered; many Superpower Users from the Water God Sect possessed Water Attributes.

”It seems the Water God Sect must certainly control a large number of Water Attribute Genetic Species. But how these genetic species are extracted remains unknown.”

Liang Yuan speculated whether they had a Water Attribute Floating Island as their base.

Otherwise, he couldn’t explain why there were so many masters of genetic species.

Soon enough, from the building, the two envoys returned, carrying a middle-aged man, riding the waves once more.

Boarding the ship, the masked man named Wang Jian said, ”Sir, the leader of the Three Elements Building, Li Hong, has been brought.”

The middle-aged man known as Li Hong, pale and panicked, knelt down and said, ”Herder Li Hong greets you, sir.”

Liang Yuan knew that the outer members of the Water God Sect were collectively referred to as herders.

These people, if their main attribute exceeded thirty points, would be formally absorbed into the Water God Sect, qualified to enter the Holy Land of the Water God Sect.

Regarding the location of the Holy Land, Liang Yuan had yet to inquire.

The brawny masked man lowered his head to gaze at Li Hong, and asked in a deep voice, ”I heard you obtained a clue about Spirit Jade Island?”

Li Hong was secretly shocked, astounded at the Water God Sect’s information network.

He dared not hide anything and said, ”Yes, sir, approximately a week ago, people from Spirit Jade Island came to the Three Elements Building, attempting to trade some individuals with us.”

”Although they tried hard to hide their identities at the time, I could still confirm they were from Spirit Jade Island.”

The brawny man immediately asked, ”How did you confirm?”

”It was the positioning rune left by the envoy sir last time. I placed the positioning rune on one of the individuals they took away.”

”When the positioning rune stopped moving, I followed it personally and saw an island identical to what the envoy described—a two-soccer-field-sized island capable of moving on water.”

”This must undoubtedly be Spirit Jade Island.”

The brawny masked man immediately queried sternly, ”Have you found their location? Where are they?”

The brawny man’s voice carried excitement and delight.

Li Hong quickly responded, ”About fifteen kilometers south, but that was two days ago. For the past two days, preparing to receive you envoys, we haven’t had time to observe again.”

”Fool!”

The brawny masked man cursed, then immediately commanded, ”Immediately locate Spirit Jade Island for me again.”

”Uh, yes.”

Li Hong hastily nodded, then quickly closed his eyes, starting to sense the positioning rune’s direction.

Liang Yuan watched this scene in the crowd, his heart filled with astonishment.

What was the positioning rune of the Water God Sect?
