Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1101: Chapter 447: The Captains’ Thoughts

Meishan, Yunquan Temple Military Base.

In the military dormitory, many captains and their men have been temporarily arranged to stay here.

In a room on the fourth floor of Dormitory No.3.

Li Chongming, Zhou Wanxi, Meng Qin, and Xiao Mingtian were arranged in one room.

At this moment, none of them could sleep.

Thunder rumbled outside, and heavy rain poured down.

Just like their hearts, it was hard to calm down.

Today, after entering Yangshan Port and seeing the lineup of Zhao Kai and others, they finally realized how astonishing the scale of the so-called Yangshan Shelter was, as described by Liang Yuan.

Especially when they saw the ships of various sizes moored on the water on either side of the port. Although they weren’t as large as their freighters, the important thing was that those ships looked very new!

What does this signify?

It shows that Yangshan has its own shipbuilding capabilities!

Moreover, the clothes and footwear those people wore didn’t seem like items belonging to people from an apocalyptic world.

Their clothes and shoes were clean, suggesting they were changed and washed regularly.

This is something unimaginable for captains who have long struggled with resource constraints.

Furthermore, the mountain fortresses and the current military base all convey one message to them.

Yangshan Shelter is a refuge just as strong as Mist City!

”Chongming, are you asleep?”

Zhou Wanxi finally couldn’t hold back and asked.

”What is it?”

A low voice came from above Li Chongming’s bunk.

He clearly wasn’t asleep either.

Zhou Wanxi asked, ”We’ve been here for a day now. What do you think?”

Li Chongming was silent for a moment, then finally said, ”I’m following Mr. Liang.”

Zhou Wanxi couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow and ask, ”What are your thoughts?”

”Haha, what’s there to say? Our lives are in Mr. Liang’s hands, we don’t really have a choice.”

”But even if there were choices, I would join them without hesitation. Look at the environment here in Yangshan and the residents’ living conditions.”

”This place is better than any shelter I’ve ever seen!”

Li Chongming’s words made Zhou Wanxi pause; he didn’t expect Li Chongming to think so highly of Yangshan Shelter.

He couldn’t help but say, ”Do you think this place is even better than Guangfu?”

He wasn’t foolish enough to compare it with Mist City.

There’s really no comparison; Mist City is indeed a good place, but its administrator, Chang Yuntao, is undoubtedly a failure.

Despite guarding the vast Mist City, he hasn’t focused on development but instead racked his brains to prevent outsiders from landing on the island.

But here in Yangshan, they’re open to everyone. At least the population here far exceeds that of Mist City.

Li Chongming didn’t answer, but Meng Qin, from the other bunk, spoke up.

He spoke with a hint of mockery: ”Haha, do you really think Guangfu is such a nice place?”

”The powers in Guangfu are complicated, full of sects, you can’t survive without joining one.”

”When you join a sect, you face their exploitation as they’ll constantly push you to gather genetic species and complete missions.”

”I haven’t seen any sect genuinely focused on agricultural development there; the daily death toll from combat is no less than those who fall to mutant beasts.”

With these words, Zhou Wanxi, Li Chongming, and Xiao Mingtian, who hadn’t engaged much in the discussion, were all taken aback.

No one expected Meng Qin of the Spiritual Ability Sect to say such things.

Zhou Wanxi couldn’t help but ask: ”Aren’t you from the Spiritual Ability Sect? Is it really that brutal over there?”

Meng Qin replied indifferently: ”It’s even harsher than you imagine.”

”Yangshan, although it lacks a Floating Island and might face flood risks in the future, from Mr. Liang’s development strategy, he certainly sees things more clearly than the Guangfu leaders.”

”At the very least, Mr. Liang has managed Yangshan well. If he had a Floating Island, I believe with his abilities, he wouldn’t be outdone by Guangfu’s Three Great Sects.”

What Meng Qin said was heartfelt, not mere flattery towards Liang Yuan.

Having come from the Spiritual Ability Sect, he naturally knew more about the situation in Guangfu.

The living conditions of Yangshan’s residents are entirely different from the survivors in Guangfu.

The people of Yangshan have vitality on their faces, they’re full of hope and anticipation for the future.

But the survivors in Guangfu are pessimistic, placing their hopes in the ethereal deities constructed by the Three Great Sects.

The Three Great Sects use hunger as a method of control.

They don’t truly let believers be well-fed and clothed, keeping them half-starved, so they rely on and are grateful for what the sects offer.

Just by giving them some food, they can gain loyalty from these people, and the cost is naturally minimal.

In contrast, in Yangshan, everyone is well-fed and clothed, and everyone has something to do and is making an effort.

This lifestyle is completely different.

Mr. Liang didn’t resort to the sect-like brainwashing to control the residents.

Instead, through real actions, he’s garnered everyone’s allegiance to Yangshan.

This is a truly brilliant approach.

Suddenly, Xiao Mingtian, from the bunk opposite, spoke: ”What’s the use of saying all that? Didn’t Minister Zhao say today? We newcomers to Yangshan will have to labor for a month according to Yangshan’s rules.”

”After this month of labor, they won’t restrict our Freedom, and we can roam around the mountain.”

”By then, we can check out the development of this shelter ourselves, can’t we?”
