Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 950: Chapter 356: This Old Dog Deserves to Die_2

They don’t regret it; they’re just afraid of the upcoming punishment.

Zhang Youquan in front of them is the same.

Liang Yuan said coldly, ”Zhuang Shuyuan, read.”

Zhuang Shuyuan quickly picked up the documents in her hand and spoke into the microphone, ”Zhang Youquan, manager of the logistics department at the slaughterhouse, responsible for important matters such as procurement during the two months and sixteen days of employment, colluded with Yu Mingxi, Zhang Hongjian, Miao Li, and others to form cliques and engage in profiteering.”

”Secretly withheld 3,142 pounds of red meat and 5,737 pounds of white meat from the slaughterhouse, set up a black market, earned Superpower Stones, and exchanged them for massive Points at the complex...”

As Zhuang Shuyuan read, the square erupted in uproar, and everyone began to angrily discuss.

”What! Setting up a black market?”

”Damn it, they privately withheld so much red and white meat?”

”Damn it, no wonder there’s been so little braised meat in the cafeteria lately.”

”Fuck these bastards, they actually embezzled so much!”

”Mr. Liang, kill them, kill these corrupt thieves!”

”Damn it, I risk my life to hunt Mutant Beasts outside, and can’t even earn a hundred pounds of meat in a day, while these beasts embezzled so much in just over two months!”

”They deserve to die, really deserve to die!”

...

The crowd was indignant, filled with righteous fury.

Beyond anger, people felt a strong sense of unfairness.

These people clearly have no skills, they’re just a bunch of ordinary individuals.

Initially, Mr. Liang pitied them for their lack of combat ability, so he provided some job opportunities for them.

No one expected these bastards to exploit their small amount of power to commit such deeds!

Zhao Kai and others also widened their eyes, incredulously listening to Zhuang Shuyuan’s report.

They too were stunned by the enormous figures.

”I knew they were embezzling, but so much!”

”Damn, the Yangshan Shelter hasn’t been established for long, yet these bastards dare to embezzle so much red and white meat!”

”Fuck, if they hadn’t been caught, how much would the slaughterhouse lose?”

”Damn it, who is the slaughterhouse administrator? Are they eating shit?”

Someone was furious, already beginning to curse the slaughterhouse administrator.

Cai Zhi was amidst the crowd, hearing the angry curses, his face equally pale, struggling to believe what was happening.

These people, his own staff, dared to embezzle so much red and white meat right under his nose!

And they even organized a black market in secret!

He resembled a fool, not only oblivious but also mistakenly believing he understood people, having accepted Zhang Youquan’s Superpower Stone!

Thinking about this, Cai Zhi felt a prickling scalp and was drenched in sweat.

As the slaughterhouse administrator, he had an indisputable responsibility for management!

Actually, this wasn’t Cai Zhi’s fault; before the flood, he was just a screw turner and had no clue about management.

Liang Yuan appointed him to manage the slaughterhouse; initially, the slaughterhouse was small, and he could personally oversee everything.

Nothing could escape his notice.

But as the slaughterhouse expanded, with procurement, slaughtering, transport, and preservation becoming more complex, separate departments were even being established for management.

Of course, he would overlook details, and there were areas he wouldn’t see.

Eventually, as the operations grew, he, as the administrator, could barely understand the reports, only seeing expenses and income.

Any accountant with some skill could balance the books; how could he possibly detect anything?

But Cai Zhi recognized, with such a major oversight in the slaughterhouse, he bore undeniable responsibility.

No matter what is said, he had to assume part of the responsibility.

He felt utterly useless, had embarrassed Liang Yuan.

As Zhuang Shuyuan finished reading the report, boos had already filled the scene outside.

Zhang Youquan, Yu Mingxi, Zhang Hongjian, and others had collapsed on the ground completely.

Zhang Youquan couldn’t even cry this time, only kept pleading.

”Mr. Liang, I realize my mistake, I truly realize it, I’m begging you, considering that we are all neighbors, and I crossed mountains with you to reach Yangshan, please forgive me, I’m willing to return all ill-gotten gains.”

Yu Mingxi and others also kowtowed, crying and pleading for Liang Yuan’s forgiveness.

Liang Yuan’s gaze was indifferent, ”Did you think about today when you did these things?”

”If I forgive you today, should I also forgive others who do the same tomorrow?”

”Do you still remember that you are my neighbor and one of those who came with me to Yangshan?”

”Then do you realize why, despite not having awakened any superpower, you could assume such an important position in the slaughterhouse’s logistics department?”

Zhang Youquan suddenly had no words, only desperately kowtowed to plead forgiveness.

Liang Yuan’s expression was cold and stern, he waved his hand and said, ”Take them away, since they love red and white meat so much, throw them onto Lingyun Slope, let them spend time with the owners of that red and white meat.”

”Help them remember, what’s the world outside like, and what’s kept them alive until now!”

Wu Ying immediately waved his hand, and several patrol team members quickly grabbed and took them away.

Although the patrol members guarded Lingyun Slope, a huge number of mutant beasts still gathered there, yet to be cleared.

These individuals, as ordinary people, almost had no chance of survival on Lingyun Slope.

Liang Yuan said coldly, ”Don’t say I have no old feelings, not giving you a chance. If you survive for three days on Lingyun Slope, I’ll pardon your wrongdoings and allow you to live.”
