Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 936: Chapter 351: Changes in Yangshan, Predicament of the Inspection Team (2)

Liang Yuan was quite satisfied after listening, especially since Meishan’s safety is now almost on par with Yangshan.

The large mutant beasts have basically been eradicated.

Only small mutant beasts occasionally raid the farmlands, stealing and eating the crop seedlings.

Liang Yuan asked, ”Does Song Wen have any countermeasures?”

Zhao Kai laughed, ”Sister Wen has already organized personnel for night patrols.”

”Meanwhile, traps and fences are being set up in the fields to prevent these small mutant beasts from intruding.”

”You’ve been working hard these days.”

Liang Yuan patted Zhao Kai on the shoulder. He could tell that Zhao Kai looked a bit tired, and he had lost some weight.

Clearly, during these days of absence, Zhao Kai had been quite concerned.

Zhao Kai quickly waved his hand and said earnestly, ”Brother Liang, don’t say that. I think this has been a great exercise for me. Although I was a bit overwhelmed at first, I’ve now learned how to handle these matters.”

”In the future, I’ll have more confidence to manage things here at Meishan for you.”

Liang Yuan laughed; Zhao Kai had really grown a lot.

”I’ve always believed in your abilities. In the future, we’ll still need you to oversee this place. Later, I’ll need to expand personnel and open up new areas towards Lingyun Slope. By the way, how is the development of the new mine here?”

Liang Yuan suddenly thought of the Superpower Stone Mine, which is now a strategic resource he values highly.

Zhao Kai immediately laughed, ”I almost forgot to report to you. Currently, at Meishan, we’re producing nearly two thousand ordinary Superpower Stones daily.”

”Moreover, we’ve discovered a large number of fire attribute, earth attribute, and wood attribute ores at Meishan.”

”Additionally, there are some metal attribute ores deep in Meishan, which are relatively difficult to excavate.”

Liang Yuan burst into laughter, ”It seems Meishan is truly a treasure trove, with so many Superpower Stones.”

”By the way, Yangshan Shelter will soon be implementing strict control policies on Superpower Stones, so you need to be mentally prepared.”

Zhao Kai was suddenly taken aback and quickly asked, ”What’s wrong?”

Liang Yuan said solemnly, ”During this outing, I discovered that people outside are also using Superpower Stones to create Superpower Weapons. These stones will be the main energy source for such weapons and will become a strategic resource.”

”Such resources must be in our hands.”

”So, mining of Superpower Stones will continue as usual, but external flow is prohibited, and they’ll only be circulated within Yangshan.”

Zhao Kai became serious and said, ”Understood.”

The two then discussed some development matters of Meishan before Liang Yuan had to leave Meishan to return to Yangshan.

Zhao Kai seemed to have remembered something, and suddenly said, ”By the way, Brother Liang, there’s something I need to mention to you in advance.”

Liang Yuan stopped walking and asked in confusion, ”What is it?”

”It’s about the Inspection Team. Currently, the team is managed by Dong Yan and Zhuang Shuyuan. They have uncovered many issues in Yangshan recently, some involving senior figures, and they can’t make decisions easily.”

”They came to me last time for advice, but I couldn’t decide and had to wait for you to return and make the call.”

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan’s gaze turned serious, ”What’s going on?”

Zhao Kai sighed, ”It’s about Elder Lin, and there’s also some personnel embezzling resources...”

Liang Yuan immediately furrowed his brows, ”Just follow the shelter rules I established back then. What’s so difficult about that?”

Zhao Kai replied helplessly, ”Dr. Yang wants to plead for Elder Lin, you know, Dr. Yang and Elder Lin have been through hardships together and share a good relationship.”

”Elder Lin’s incident reached me, but I’m unsure how to handle it.”

”As for those embezzling resources, some of them are old friends who came with us back then.”

”Some haven’t awakened superpowers, but because they followed us up the mountain, we placed them in important positions.”

Liang Yuan’s expression darkened, confirming his worst fears had come true.

In the thriving Yangshan Shelter, pests had already begun breeding.

He couldn’t imagine that this was just Yangshan Shelter’s initial phase, having just achieved self-sufficiency.

And yet these people dared to engage in such unscrupulous activities.

If the shelter continued to develop and grow, what then?

”Alright, I’ll handle this matter. You take care of things here at Meishan; I’m heading back to Yangshan immediately.”

Zhao Kai nodded and added, ”Brother Liang, don’t get too angry, it’s not worth it.”

Liang Yuan nodded without saying anything, and in a flash, he was gone.

...

In Yangshan, the Inspection Team office is located on the fifth floor of the Yangshan Shopping Center.

This area was personally allocated by Liang Yuan specifically for Dong Yan’s team.

Firstly, it represents the pinnacle of authority at the shelter.

Secondly, it serves to keep the Inspection Team’s sharp sword hanging high, warning everyone at the shelter.

At this moment, in the Inspection Team office on the fifth floor, Dong Yan looked at a stack of reports in her hand, her pretty face flushed with anger.

”Bang!”

She slammed down the reports, furious, ”These pests! Brother Liang treats them so well, yet this is how they repay him!”

In the office, several young members of the Inspection Team looked equally outraged, clearly incensed by the contents of the reports.

These young men and women, all in their twenties, were in the prime of their passionate and idealistic years.
