Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 940: Chapter 353: Inspection Team Report

Seeing the vinegar jar overturned, Liang Yuan quickly intervened to stop the two.

”Alright, alright, Yanyan, let’s discuss serious matters.”

With that, Liang Yuan said, ”Let’s talk inside. Yanyan, you report, and Zhuang Shuyuan, you provide supplementary information.”

Upon hearing this, Dong Yan immediately smiled smugly, glanced at Zhuang Shuyuan, and then proudly followed Liang Yuan into the office.

Zhuang Shuyuan snorted inwardly but maintained a gentle smile and nodded politely.

Once inside, Dong Yan promptly took out the sorted materials and handed them over, saying, ”Brother Liang, following your instructions, after setting up the inspection team, I began investigating secretly.”

”The primary investigation methods included interviewing people, investigating comprehensive membership points, personal assets, and so forth, uncovering quite a few acts of corruption and others with notorious reputations.”

”This one is about Elder Lin. After his appointment to the patrol team, not only did he often skip work, but he also used his position to flirt with women.”

”Many women have reported issues with his lifestyle, and he has a gambling habit. He often recruits people to gamble, spending most of his points during these times.”

”In addition, his domestic violence is widely known, and since Zhu Linlin started living with him, she’s been beaten several times and has always been too afraid to leave him.”

”Elder Lin would bring home women he’d picked up outside for sleepovers. Zhu Linlin initially spoke out against it, but after being beaten a lot, she no longer dares to voice her opinion.”

”Based on our investigation, Elder Lin bullied several widows with children while he was involved with mistresses outside.”

”These widows have no financial support and have to raise children, often suffering humiliation passively due to fear of his identity in the patrol team.”

Dong Yan produced one piece of evidence after another, all irrefutable proofs against Elder Lin.

Liang Yuan looked at these contents, his expression gradually turning dark.

”This old Taoist saw Deng Hu’s atrocities in Building 75 back then. How has he fallen so low, becoming another Deng Hu?”

Liang Yuan was burning with anger. Once upon a time, Elder Lin was also a victim under the apocalypse, forced by Deng Hu and others to protect himself in Unit 1.

Now that life is better, he’s become the kind of person he once despised the most.

Dong Yan also said angrily, ”These people have had enough good days! Even though everything is progressing towards betterment in Yangshan, these people think they can truly feel at ease and begin enjoying leisurely.”

Liang Yuan sneered, ”It’s not just about enjoying leisure; he is establishing his pleasure on others’ suffering.”

”Is the evidence accurate?”

Dong Yan nodded, ”It’s accurate. I asked them one by one.”

Liang Yuan glanced at Zhuang Shuyuan beside him.

Zhuang Shuyuan smiled slightly, ”Zhu Linlin’s accusations are somewhat exaggerated. The accounts from other victims probably won’t differ much.”

She was transferred into the inspection team by Liang Yuan, specifically responsible for interrogation tasks, largely because of her superpower in Mind Reading.

So, Zhuang Shuyuan’s corroboration beside him made Liang Yuan nod slightly.

Then Liang Yuan said coldly, ”Well, what are we waiting for? Get him apprehended!”

Dong Yan immediately exclaimed excitedly, ”I’ll arrest him now!”

Liang Yuan thought for a moment and said, ”No need to rush. Leave the arrests to the patrol team, and first review others’ situations to proceed with batch capture.”

”Oh, okay.”

Dong Yan immediately spoke about the next person.

”Zhang Youquan was the homeowner in Building 76. When we left Meidu Garden, he left with us.”

”Later, when we established a shelter in Yangshan, those who hadn’t awakened superpowers were also assigned important department positions.”

”Zhang Youquan acted as the procurement department supervisor at the Slaughterhouse, collaborating with the logistics supervisor Yu Mingxi in secretly embezzling large amounts of Red and White Meat during processing.”

”Then Yu Mingxi organized a personal black market, selling Red and White Meat on the market for massive points earnings.”

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan’s eyes revealed a cold look and asked, ”The Slaughterhouse... I remember Brother Cai is in charge, isn’t he aware of this?”

Dong Yan hesitated immediately; Cai Zhi was among the more core members in Brother Liang’s team.

He followed Brother Liang before her, nearly climbing from scratch alongside him.

She hesitated and said, ”I haven’t reviewed Brother Cai’s points nor have investigated him.”

Liang Yuan frowned, realizing what Dong Yan was worried about.

He couldn’t help but sigh inwardly, ultimately young people are sometimes ruled by emotions.

Then he looked at Zhuang Shuyuan.

Zhuang Shuyuan immediately chuckled, her eyes like peach blossoms blinking, ”I have conducted an investigative examination on Cai Zhi’s membership points through Xiaoyang Mei’s manager.”

”His membership points are indeed higher than normal income but not to an exaggerated level; I suspect even if there is embezzlement, it won’t be significant.”

”It’s very likely he’s unaware of his two subordinate’s behavior.”

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan breathed a sigh of relief, while also giving Zhuang Shuyuan an appreciative look, ”You’ve done well.”

Zhuang Shuyuan’s smile became brighter immediately, whereas Dong Yan appeared somewhat nervous.

Liang Yuan smiled at Dong Yan, ”Yanyan, work is work, personal relationships are personal, you need to distinguish clearly.”

Dong Yan bowed her head, ”Sorry, Brother Liang, I, I understand.”

Liang Yuan comforted, ”You’ve done well already, besides, you should trust Brother Cai too. He’s an old follower of mine who knows my character, not possible to collude with those people.”
