Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 935: Chapter 351: Changes in Yangshan, the Inspection Team’s Predicament

Liang Yuan handed over the follow-up work arrangements to Ding Yan and Shi Haizhu for coordination.

He himself was led by Huang Han to inspect the port.

The port now has changed dramatically. Under the leadership of Old Ma and the construction team, the entire port area has expanded significantly.

The area of floating duckweed on the water has also increased several times. Although there is no super alloy steel cable for support, vines and driftwood are used to connect and secure it.

On both sides of the shore, many buildings have been erected, and some smart people have even set up small shops here.

There is quite a bit of foot traffic here, with people crossing the floating bridge every day.

Where there’s foot traffic, there’s naturally business to be made.

Huang Han said with a smile, ”Some people bring goods from Yangshan Shopping Center and sell them here for a profit.”

”Some people from Meishan don’t want to travel too far, so they choose to buy here, earning quite a few points for themselves.”

Liang Yuan laughed and said, ”As long as they don’t steal or rob, it’s fine.”

”No one would dare, anyway.”

After visiting the port, Liang Yuan went to Meishan.

Nowadays, Meishan has cleared a lot of wasteland, with many of the original Yangmei trees being removed.

Land resources are precious; if it can grow food, it should grow food.

Fruit trees like Yangmei don’t need to be planted extensively; keeping some is enough.

On the mountain terraces, many people were busy cultivating, and from afar Granny Li could be seen directing the young people with her plantation crew.

Seeing Liang Yuan, Granny Li was delighted and hurried over, laughing, ”Xiaoliang, when did you come back?”

Liang Yuan smiled and said, ”Just got back. I heard that our Meishan has changed a lot, so I couldn’t wait to come and see.”

Granny Li laughed heartily, ”That’s true. Our place changes every day, it’s like a new place each day.”

”In just a few days, we have reclaimed over three hundred acres of land, and various crops have already been planted.”

”By the way, I have something to ask you.”

Suddenly, Granny Li’s expression became serious, and she pulled Liang Yuan aside.

Liang Yuan was puzzled and asked, ”What’s the matter?”

Granny Li looked around and then whispered, ”I heard from Xiaosong that you’ve received news of an impending cold wave?”

Liang Yuan nodded slightly, ”Yes, it’s information from the military. Based on my observations, the weather indeed is getting colder. It’s already November, the heavy rains have lessened significantly, yet the temperature has dropped.”

”A cold wave is very likely.”

Granny Li sighed, ”If that’s the case, we need to hurry. The crops we’ve just planted might not be cold-resistant.”

Liang Yuan, hearing this, showed a serious expression and asked, ”Is there a way to speed up the planting process?”

”I’ve been brainstorming with Xiaosong. Fortunately, these are mutant plant seeds, which have a fast growth cycle.”

”If Xiaosong and I work together, we might be able to use superpowers to speed up the growth of these crops.”

Liang Yuan heard this, frowning, ”It’s just the two of you, is that enough?”

”Well, we have no other choice.”

After hearing this, Liang Yuan thought for a moment and said, ”Alright, you two continue. I’ll think of something later.”

He wanted to visit Yang Shenmin and see if there were any related potions that could aid in accelerating the plants’ growth.

Or maybe discuss with Li Hanzhong and explore if there was any rune technology that could enhance plant growth.

Walking around the farmland, many crops had already sprouted tender green shoots.

The faces of everyone working in the fields were filled with smiles.

These green shoots represent future food supplies.

They are the hope for everyone’s survival.

In summary, the vibe among everyone on Meishan was one of thriving and prosperity.

Besides the busy farmers, many construction teams were cutting down trees and bamboo and building new structures.

As Liang Yuan walked by, many people stopped their work to greet him.

Their eyes were filled with gratitude and respect.

This was not fear born of force but genuine appreciation and respect for Mr. Liang from the bottom of their hearts.

Liang Yuan had truly become Yangshan’s spiritual leader.

When reaching Yunquan Temple, Liang Yuan noticed that it, too, had transformed significantly.

Around the temple, a row of bamboo houses and wooden huts had been built along the walls.

Ding Yan already began relocating the refugees rescued by the Firebird to this place.

Some bamboo houses and wooden huts served as barracks for the patrol team, while others provided accommodation for the rescued people.

Meanwhile, the interior of Yunquan Temple was converted into training grounds, supply storage, a cafeteria, and shops, among other things.

The overall setup was similar to that of Yangshan Shopping Center, although naturally on a smaller scale.

Yunquan Temple, despite its size, couldn’t compare to the Yangshan Complex’s vast valley.

Yet, even so, Meishan, centered around Yunquan Temple, had developed a siphoning effect, pulling most residents to settle in this area.

Many of those working in the fields also chose to live near Yunquan Temple.

Because Yunquan Temple boasted strong armed defenses, it could offer ample security.

Zhao Kai often organized people to patrol the mountains and hunt mutant beasts.

In the long run, Meishan would become a safe haven.

Only a few small, less threatening mutant beasts remained, posing no danger to residents here.

”The main worry is the crops; the folks at the plantation are quite troubled,” Zhao Kai commented.

Liang Yuan met with him, and Zhao Kai briefly introduced the current development status of Meishan.
