Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 911: Chapter 341: Li Hanzhong (Part 2)

It’s known that a car normally travels at a speed of sixty kilometers per hour.

That’s already considered slow.

But at fifteen meters per second, I can only reach fifty-four kilometers in an hour.

Moreover, I can’t possibly maintain that speed for an entire hour because those are my limit data.

I’m not a machine—I get tired, and my physical strength isn’t infinite, it also gets depleted.

”Looks like I need to find a way to improve my underwater speed skills.”

Liang Yuan immediately thought of this.

His goal is to build himself into an all-around, no-weakness powerhouse.

Underwater combat has now become his weakest point.

”In the past, all the enemies I’ve encountered were on land, so I’ve always been improving my land combat abilities.”

”Now that there’s a potential underwater threat, it must be taken seriously.”

Ding Yan also looked solemn and said, ”Liang Yuan, it seems that when we go back, we also need to greatly develop our technology, especially underwater combat technology.”

Liang Yuan nodded slightly and said, ”Once we return, I’ll have Fu Qibo and Ren Jie start research in this area.”

”But before that, we must find technical talents who can design ships and submarines.”

Ding Yan immediately nodded in agreement and said, ”Professor Li Hanzhong is very skilled in shipbuilding. I wonder if he knows about submersible design.”

”Let’s find Professor Li Hanzhong first.” Liang Yuan decided immediately.

Ding Yan also nodded and said, ”Then let’s set off right away.”

Then the Firebird immediately turned toward the complex of buildings to the southeast.

Under the gloomy sky, rain poured down incessantly, bringing a chill and shrouding this stretch of water.

Lishui Garden is considered one of the more upscale neighborhoods around Linjiang University.

However, the more upscale the neighborhood, the shorter the buildings tend to be.

The first and second phases of Lishui Garden are made up of townhouses with a total height of only eight floors.

Only the third phase has high-rises exceeding eighteen floors.

The fourth phase owners were luckiest, having seen the superior conditions of the townhouses from phases one and two before buying.

Phases three and four were sold through pre-sale, meaning the buildings weren’t completed yet, but they were already on the market.

When the third phase was completed, many realized there was a big difference compared to phases one and two.

Not just in terms of greenery, but also in building spacing, shareable areas, and more, all were far inferior to phases one and two.

The owners of the fourth phase were less fortunate; the third phase was eighteen floors high, while the fourth phase directly went up to thirty-two floors.

The fourth phase’s owners often sought out the developers and property management to demand refunds and cause trouble.

Of course, this issue never went anywhere.

How could the property management and developers possibly fear these owners?

In the end, the fourth phase residents had no choice but to move in with a grievance.

However, when the great flood came, people realized living in a high-rise turned into a lifeline after all.

The lower buildings had long since been submerged.

Only the fourth phase of Lishui Garden stood firm out of the water.

The owners of the fourth phase had never dreamed that the building they once wished they could get rid of now offered them a lucky escape.

In this boundless flood, they found a place to stay.

Meanwhile, the once superior townhouses of phases one and two had been submerged more than two months ago.

The third phase, although it lasted the previous months, is now completely underwater too.

Many people from phases one and two, even phase three, clung to planks, fleeing with their families towards the fourth phase.

But the owners of the fourth phase refused to let these people in, leading to several violent conflicts.

It wasn’t until too many had died, attracting a large number of underwater mutant beasts that came and ate many people, that they paused the infighting to cooperate with each other temporarily.

Now the fourth phase of Lishui Garden has a mixed occupancy, with many third-phase people residing there, and a few survivors from phases one and two hiding in the hallways.

In room 2706 on the 27th floor, more than a dozen ragged men were gathered at the door.

One of them, probably around sixty years old, had graying hair, wore tortoiseshell glasses, and the right lens had cracks.

He clutched a bundle tightly to his chest, looking nervous, wary of the others around him.

There were quite a few others like him, all very tense, their expressions wary.

Evidently, these people were not of the same group.

Among the crowd, a few young and strong men had eyes gleaming, observing these people through the corners of their eyes.

At this moment, the door of 2706 suddenly clicked open.

A burly young man stood in the doorway, with cropped hair, a scar on his right cheek that marred his handsome face, adding a hint of ferocity.

”Good morning, Captain Lin.”

”Morning, Captain Lin.”

Among the ragged group, someone quickly plastered a smile on their face, trying to greet the young man with a flattering smile.

The young man swept a cold glance over the crowd, completely ignoring these fawning gestures.

”Cut the crap, those with goods, come in.”

”Those without, wait outside,”

Captain Lin sneered, barking at them.

The crowd, trembling, one person upfront immediately took out a red stone from their bosom and said excitedly, ”Captain Lin, I found this yesterday downstairs. It’s a superpower stone, right? Can I come in?”

Captain Lin looked at the superpower stone, nodding slightly, ”Not bad, fire attribute superpower stone, quite valuable, you can come in.”

”Thank you, thank you, Captain Lin.”
