Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 735: Chapter 289: The Shock Brought by Yangshan Shelter_2

”I plan to include Meishan within the Yangshan Shelter, having Meishan serve as our grain depot. We will send people over to specifically plant grains and vegetables there.”

Hearing this, Song Wen and Granny Li both looked up, showing surprise and delight.

”Isn’t there another shelter on Meishan? Will they agree?” Song Wen asked joyfully.

Liang Yuan replied, ”Yes, but it doesn’t matter. I’ve already convinced them. From now on, Meishan will be managed by us.”

Granny Li quickly asked, ”But aren’t the two mountains separated by floods? How will we get across?”

Liang Yuan smiled and said, ”I plan to set up a floating bridge between the two mountains. This might become a key project for Yangshan in the upcoming days.”

”Additionally, hunting around the mountains, controlling the population of mutated creatures in Meishan, and clearing the Water Marsh Restricted Area will all need to be done simultaneously.”

”I’ll arrange all these tasks one by one. You don’t need to worry about them. Your job is to cultivate these mutated crops as much as possible.”

Song Wen and Granny Li quickly nodded, fully supporting Yangshan’s upcoming tasks with both hands.

After touring the Sunshine District, Liang Yuan then went to the Slaughterhouse to process the accumulated game and fish catches from the past two days.

The total income was nearly 20,000 Points, which brought a smile to his face.

When he was at Meidu Garden alone before, even with everyone’s help, catching fish would barely earn him 1,000 Points in a day.

Now it’s easily 10,000 Points a day, proving that there’s strength in numbers.

This path was definitely the right one for him.

At the Slaughterhouse, Liang Yuan also dissected the mutated Weasel he had in his inventory, though he was unlucky this time and didn’t find any Rune Bone or anything like that.

Typically, for a mutated creature with a Spiritual Power of nearly 50 Points, not getting any drops would be unusual.

However, this particular mutated Weasel did not drop anything.

Liang Yuan suspected that this mutated Weasel was just lucky, happening to be born in the graveyard and absorbing the energy of a Spirit Attribute Superpower Stone, gaining intelligence but not learning any skills.

Liang Yuan remembered that when his own Spiritual Power increased, the first thing he learned was Telekinesis.

It seems like, as one’s Spiritual Power grows, this ability naturally develops and can’t even be considered a skill.

On the other hand, Spiritual Illusion Techniques, Spirit Mazes, and Spiritual Illusion Realms are legitimate Spirit Skills.

After handing the Weasel to the Slaughterhouse workers, Liang Yuan dissected the mutated Yangtze Crocodile he had killed in the Water Marsh, also without any results.

He didn’t mind, though, taking two legs while leaving the rest to the Slaughterhouse for the food hall in the Gourmet District.

Afterward, Liang Yuan left the Slaughterhouse and went to check the breeding area.

The Fire Bamboo Rats, Red Chickens, Plum Blossom Pigs, and other livestock were all well-reared.

Liang Yuan asked the manager and learned that they had established new breeding sites in places like Meihai Garden and Martial King Pavilion, to prevent a situation where a disease could wipe out an entire batch.

Liang Yuan appreciated this approach, finding out that it was the idea of a couple who ran a chicken farm before the Great Flood.

He praised them, showing great importance to these people.

When Meishan is fully developed, these people will be crucial and might need to be taken there to oversee related matters.

...

While Liang Yuan was inspecting various places at the shelter, Yang Mei and Old Yang were leading Yang Youwei and Li Xiangyang through a Bamboo House to the Fire Bamboo Forest.

In the Fire Bamboo Forest, many people, both old and young, were cutting young bamboo nearby.

Yang Youwei saw this and asked, ”Why are these people cutting bamboo?”

Li Xiangyang also found it strange, saying, ”Are they cutting bamboo to build Bamboo Houses? Shouldn’t they be cutting old bamboo? Why are they picking young bamboo?”

Old Yang glanced over and laughed, ”They are workers from the breeding base, cutting bamboo to feed the Fire Bamboo Rats.”

”Breeding base?”

Everyone was surprised and looked at Old Yang.

Old Yang laughed heartily, ”Why are you all so astonished? The taste of Fire Bamboo Rat is delicious. The Gourmet District has a famous dish, braised Bamboo Rat meat, which is incredibly tasty.”

Yang Mei smiled and said, ”Fire Bamboo Rats are a great source of meat. After we discovered them here at Yangshan, we consciously established a breeding base to focus on artificial rearing.”

Li Xiangyang and his group looked at each other in shock.

Yangshan Shelter had already started artificial breeding, whereas their Jieshi Academy was still relying on hunting wild mutated creatures for meat.

The comparison was worlds apart.

At this moment, Old Yang pointed to a sizable breeding ground outside the Fire Bamboo Forest and shouted, ”Look, this is the breeding base. It covers quite a large area. Besides Fire Bamboo Rats, we also raise Red Chickens, Plum Blossom Pigs, and more. All our red meat comes from these.”

”When you return to Meishan, you can buy some to take back for the villagers to try.”

Li Xiangyang and his group looked at the vast breeding ground with envious expressions.

This breeding base must raise a lot of animals.

Yangshan Shelter has indeed achieved meat freedom.

”Hey, don’t just stare at the breeding ground, look over there, the core area of Yangshan, the Yangshan Shopping Center!”

Old Yang interrupted their daydreams, pointing excitedly at the distant mountain col.

Yang Youwei and his group turned their heads to look, their pupils shrinking instantly.
