Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 731: Chapter 288: Mr. Liang’s Status in Yangshan_4

Liang Yuan listened to her mumble, his face full of smiles.

This is probably what it means to be human.

Survival is not the only thing, not just living like the walking dead.

Each of us has our own thoughts in mind, only then can we live meaningfully.

They searched around the forest, and although they found some skeletons, there was no way to identify them.

Li Xiangyang buried all the skeletons without discrimination.

He couldn’t tell which one might be Yang Weiwei, but he was afraid that one of them might be her.

So he had no choice but to bury them all together here.

He made a simple tombstone, bowed in different directions, and with red-rimmed eyes, said, ”To all the deceased here, I don’t know who you are. Today, I gather your remains not expecting anything in return, but if you happen to meet a girl named Yang Weiwei down below, please take care of her.”

”As long as I, Li Xiangyang, am alive, I will come to pay my respects every year.”

Zhang Rongrong and Yang Wei stood aside, wiping their tears as well.

When they finished paying their respects, Liang Yuan said, ”Let’s hit the road, it’s getting late.”

Li Xiangyang and the others nodded, wiped away their tears, and followed Liang Yuan to continue toward Yangshan Shelter.

As they advanced, the closer they got to Yangshan Shelter, the fewer mutant beasts they saw.

This amazed Yang Youwei and the others.

Yang Youwei couldn’t help but say, ”Why are there no mutant beasts around here?”

Li Xiangyang also found it strange and said, ”Yes, there seem to be a lot fewer mutant beasts near Yangshan compared to Meishan.”

Liang Yuan didn’t say anything, but Old Yang started laughing.

”You guys don’t know. Here in Yangshan, we have patrols every day driving the mutant beasts away, and the shelter also has hunter squads. They form groups to go hunting to earn points.”

”If Mr. Liang hadn’t specifically instructed us to preserve some species, the mutant beasts here would have been wiped out entirely.”

Everyone was astonished.

Is Yangshan Shelter really that large-scale? Patrols hunting, how many people does that take?

Li Xiangyang caught an important term and quickly asked, ”What are points? Do people in Yangshan hunt just to earn points?”

Old Yang laughed and said, ”Points are the currency in Yangshan Shelter. Here, you need points for everything.”

”Buying things, eating, entertainment, staying at an inn, you need points for all of it.”

”We only recognize points here.”

”By the way, if you want to go to the shopping complex later, you’d better exchange some points first, or you won’t be able to buy anything.”

Li Xiangyang and the others were amazed and curious about the shopping complex.

Zhang Rongrong couldn’t help but ask, ”Mr. Liang, is the shopping complex really like the supermarkets before the Great Flood? Does it have everything?”

Liang Yuan glanced at her and said, ”What do you want?”

”Shampoo, body wash, soap, facial cleanser, and... and skincare products...”

She quickly asked, and as she spoke, she noticed everyone looking at her, making her a bit embarrassed. Her voice grew quieter.

Liang Yuan smiled and said, ”We have all of that, and not just a little.”

Yang Mei also laughed, ”Rongrong, you need skincare products? I’ll give you a discount then. Not many people buy those, people mostly spend on rice, flour, and cooking oil.”

That’s true, since the Yangshan Shelter still had more men.

Skincare products were mostly used by the young women.

Like Zhuang Shuyuan, Huang Han, Gao Jie, Han Xiangman, might buy some.

But since they were Superpower Users, their skin condition was better than ordinary people, so their need wasn’t that high.

In fact, Huang Han, Han Xiangman, and Gao Jie often had to go on patrol missions and couldn’t use heavily perfumed products.

So the skincare and makeup products in the shopping complex didn’t sell well.

On the other hand, soaps, shampoos, and toothpastes were popular.

Zhang Rongrong couldn’t help but ask, ”Huh? People don’t buy these? Why?”

Yang Mei explained to her, and Zhang Rongrong finally understood.

She quickly said, ”Then I’ll buy some soap, shampoo, and facial cleanser too.”

Yang Mei smiled, ”Alright, once we get there, you can pick out what you like.”

Li Xiangyang couldn’t help but ask, ”How do you exchange for points? What can you use to get points?”

Old Yang said, ”Well, there’s a lot. Besides having a regular job at the Yangshan Shelter and earning points monthly, you can hunt or fish and sell to the Slaughterhouse for points.”

”You can also mine in the West Mine District for points.”

”Of course, if you have any skills, you can make something and trade it for points.”

”By the way, once you get to Yangshan Shelter, you should first go to the fourth floor of the complex and get an points card from the staff so you can trade points directly.”

Li Xiangyang and the others were amazed; it felt like they were transported back to modern society from a primitive one.

As they walked and talked, Liang Yuan remained silent, letting Old Yang act as the guide, introducing the situation at Yangshan Shelter.

As they were about to approach the West Mine District, sentries from the patrol team spotted them.

Soon, six or seven Superpower Users surrounded them.
