Ancient Dragon Elephant Technique

The situation on the northwest border was getting tenser by the day. The Beastman Empire’s army was assembling. Although the loss of the Blood Robe Beast Tamers meant the Beastman Army was equivalent to losing a powerful Fierce Beast Army Group, the Beastman Empire showed no signs of retreating and instead continued to increase their troops.

The situation was clearly urgent, teetering on the brink of conflict.

In Moonfall City, the people were panic-stricken, fearing that once war broke out, it would lead to heavy casualties.

”It is rumored that the Beastman Empire has assembled a massive army of three hundred thousand. They are clearly well-prepared,”

Long Shiyou reported back after gathering information from outside.

Everyone gasped in astonishment. With such a huge force, the Beastman Empire really seemed geared up for major action.

”Not many students from Azure Dragon Academy have already returned, clearly sensing the danger, unwilling to stay here and take risks,” Xuanyuan Zhan said solemnly.

Around fifty teams from Azure Dragon Academy, comprising over three thousand people, had come to the northwest border to support True Martial Country in the battle against the Beastman Empire. Though their numbers were not uniform, their combined strength was formidable. However, no matter how powerful their Cultivation, facing an onslaught from hundreds of thousands of troops, they were destined to be mere cannon fodder.

”How many are still left?” Lin Feng asked, his brow slightly furrowed.

”About a dozen teams, around a thousand people stayed!” proclaimed Long Shiyou.

There were still some students who wanted to stay, to participate in this battle, perhaps to strive for a better future or genuinely to contribute to their country.

Regardless of the reason, those from Azure Dragon Academy who chose to stay during this time without turning back deserved respect.

”Go and meet with the captains of those teams, I plan to talk to them,” Lin Feng said.

The strength of these students from Azure Dragon Academy was immensely powerful, far surpassing that of ordinary soldiers.

Although only about a thousand people were left, if commanded well, they would indeed be a unique force.

”Alright, I will go now,” Long Shiyou nodded.

When the captains of those teams heard that Lin Feng wanted to gather everyone for a meeting, they all agreed. Back when they were at the Azure Dragon Academy, they had heard of Lin Feng. Though a first-year new student, his strength was so formidable, he could compete with those freakishly strong contenders from the Mountain River List.

During this period, it was widely rumored that Lin Feng chased down and slaughtered several hundred Fierce Beasts, Beastman Soldiers, and Blood Robe Beast Tamers across hundreds of miles, and he had become a legendary figure of Azure Dragon Academy. Many students at the Academy were inspired by him.

In the afternoon, captains and deputy captains from about a dozen teams arrived.

”Ladies and gentlemen, today, I have gathered you all to discuss an important matter,” Lin Feng said.

”Brother Lin, please speak frankly,” said a student, who was named Wang Kun, ranked thirty-first on the Mountain River List, possessing exceptional strength.

Lin Feng took out an arrow (made from thousand-refined Xuantie, incredibly hard) and handed it to Long Shiyou.

Long Shiyou easily snapped it.

The crowd was puzzled by Lin Feng’s actions.

Then, Lin Feng took out a dozen more arrows and handed them to Long Shiyou again.

This time, however, Long Shiyou could not break them.

The people pondered thoughtfully.

”We, the people of Azure Dragon Academy, represent not only the face of our academy but also aspire for a bright future. Who among us does not want to be recommended by Azure Dragon Academy? Who doesn’t want to join the Ancient Forces? Even if joining the Ancient Forces is out of reach, who wants to live an ordinary life? Who doesn’t want to achieve great things? More importantly, in times of national crisis, if we do not stand against these armies from the Beastman Empire, imagine the casualties and deaths that could ensue if the Beastman Empire’s forces breached our defenses. If the nation falls, what becomes of home? If True Martial Country truly perishes, think about how many of our families, friends, and loved ones will die?”

With these words from Lin Feng, many fists tightly clenched.

Indeed!

If the nation falls!

Where is home?

How many loved ones and friends will die tragically?

No one wants to see this scene.

Lin Feng’s words ignited a fire in many hearts and filled them with intense passion!

”One arrow is easy to break, but a bundle of arrows is hard to break. This is the power of unity. We, the students of Azure Dragon Academy, are all elites. Yet, no matter how elite, when facing the tens of thousands of the Beastman Empire’s army, we are still as insignificant as ants. Only by uniting can we unleash all our strength.”

Lin Feng spoke powerfully, ”Gentlemen, the reason I have gathered everyone here is to unite all of us at the Azure Dragon Academy. We will fight the enemy together, bleed together, and achieve great deeds together.”

”Good, I agree!” Wang Kun stood up and said, ”Brother Lin’s speech has shamed us all. Today, I, Wang Kun, am willing to follow Brother Lin and unite by his side.”

”I also agree!”

”I also agree!”

One captain after another stood up, their voices ringing with strength.

Wang Kun spoke, ”I suggest that we honor Brother Lin as our leader, to command everyone at the Azure Dragon Academy. Brother Lin has led the new student teams to sweep through all the senior student teams at the academy and has defeated the combined forces of Beastman soldiers and Fierce Beasts. Who can compare with Brother Lin in experience? As for Cultivation, who among us here is his match? And in terms of character, I believe everyone understands Brother Lin’s character and respects him.”

”Brother Wang speaks well. We are willing to honor Brother Lin as our leader and swear to follow him to the death.” Another senior student loudly agreed; this person was Zhang Leiting, ranked thirty-fifth on the Mountain River List.

The others also echoed his words.

Lin Feng said, ”Gentlemen, I, Lin Feng, am moved by your trust. Today, I swear here that I will not betray the trust of my brothers. I will lead you to strike vigorously at the Beastman Empire’s army and defend our country, even if it costs us our lives!”

”All hail and swear to follow…”

Everyone bowed to Lin Feng in respect.

The situation in the northwest battlefield became increasingly tense. In the month that followed, the Beastman Empire’s army and the Red Flame Army engaged in dozens of smaller and larger battles, both sides suffering heavy casualties. Meanwhile, Lin Feng led the Azure Dragon Academy’s troops to launch surprise attacks on the Beastman Empire’s army, slaying over eighteen thousand of their soldiers, earning great military achievements.

At the height of the intense battle, the Beastman Empire reinforced their troops by a million. From the True Martial Country, two other groups from the Five Great Armies, the Red Dragon Army Group and the Dragon Lion Army Group, also came to support, and the entire Moonfall Plain was littered with corpses, countless dead or injured.

Moonfall City!

Wuu Tiangang rushed frantically toward the City Lord’s estate. After seeing Huang Shilan, he burst into tears and said, ”Shilan, a great disaster has occurred!”

Shocked, Huang Shilan asked, ”What happened?”

”The old marshal was ambushed by a Demon Dao strongman and a Beastman Army at Breeze Ridge, suffering heavy losses, and is now surrounded. A soldier broke through the encirclement and brought a blood letter.”

As Wuu Tiangang spoke, he took out a letter. The letter was written in blood, ”Order Great General Zhang Kui to come to Breeze Ridge for support immediately,”

and it also bore the Grand Marshal Seal.

Seeing the blood letter, Huang Shilan was struck as if by lightning.

Her Huang family had a legacy of loyalty; among her father’s generation, seven brothers had died on the battlefield, leaving only the grandfather.

Huang Shilan couldn’t fathom what it would mean for them if her grandfather also died in battle.

”Shilan, the Beastman Empire’s army has heavily blockaded all the fortresses in Moonfall Plain. The soldier was severely injured and couldn’t deliver the letter, so he brought it to Moonfall City and then he died. We must rescue the old marshal!”

Wuu Tiangang spoke with sadness and urgency.

”Summon Deputy City Lord Dong Xun to see me. He will handle the affairs of Moonfall City temporarily. You and I will lead the garrison of Moonfall City to the rescue,” Huang Shilan said.

”Yes, I’ll find Dong Xun right now,” Wuu Tiangang quickly left the room, taking two steps at a time.

Once out of the room, the expression of sadness on Wuu Tiangang’s face disappeared, replaced by a chillingly sinister smirk.
