The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Liu Yuqing had a stomach full of questions she wanted to ask Fu Yu since they were at the restaurant earlier.

But it wasn’t convenient to talk in front of her sister then.

Now that her sister was finally gone, she quickly grabbed Fu Yu and asked, ”You’re obviously working every day? When did you start doing herbal cuisine at the music restaurant as well?”

There was nothing to hide about this, and in fact, Fu Yu had been wanting to explain it to Liu Yuqing for a long time, but he just hadn’t had the chance.

Fu Yu said truthfully, ”Actually, whenever I have a day off each week, I go to the music restaurant to work part-time. I’ve been doing this for quite a while. However, it was later that Chef Yao helped organize the herbal cuisine, and we’ve only served one batch of customers so far.”

Liu Yuqing became even more interested upon hearing this, ”How did Chef Yao come up with the idea to help you organize a herbal cuisine banquet?”

Fu Yu explained the process of how he took over the herbal cuisine cooking.

Liu Yuqing’s eyes lit up, ”Really? What kinds of herbal cuisines can you cook? What areas are you best at regulating?”

Fu Yu thought for a long time, and felt like he was currently most skilled at endocrine regulation.

After all, whether it’s for beauty and skincare, or acne treatment, the basic regulation starts with nourishing blood and energy.

Endocrine disorders are the main conditions that significantly affect the skin.

Nourishing blood, tonifying energy, and regulating hormone levels are crucial steps in beauty and skincare.

However, what was initially very professional and normal wording somehow felt odd when spoken to Liu Yuqing.

Fu Yu hesitated for a moment but decided to be honest, ”Um... mainly still regulating, uh, endocrine, focusing on skincare.”

Liu Yuqing curiously asked, ”How do you regulate it? Just by eating herbal cuisine?”

Fu Yu shook his head, ”Not exactly, I also make some masks and daily beverages; they’re all part of the herbal cuisine treatment.”

Liu Yuqing asked excitedly, ”Hey, are the herbal cuisines you make really that expensive?”

Fu Yu hesitated, wondering whether to tell the truth.

In fact, the pricing of the herbal cuisine was just a gimmick. Even if the ingredients were top-notch, the cost wasn’t high enough to warrant such a price tag.

The expensive part of custom herbal cuisine is the recipes I create by hand and the cooking methods I use.

As Yao Shi would say, a chef’s culinary skills and dish design are the basis of the table’s pricing.

The better the skills, the tastier the dishes, the higher the price naturally becomes.

Similarly, the more skilled Fu Yu is at cooking herbal cuisine, the better the results, and the more customers rave about it.

The price naturally rises accordingly.

In fact, there’s one more thing Fu Yu hasn’t mentioned to anyone.

This year, when Yao Shi took herbal cuisine orders, they secretly raised the price quite a bit.

On the surface, it’s still charged by the treatment plan, but actually, those herbal cuisines you can take home or use, like ready-to-mix drinks, and masks that were given as gifts before, are now separate related products for sale.

Yao Shi even plans to apply for an independent brand trademark for Fu Yu, and in the future, promote the herbal cuisine banquet as a formal brand promotion model.

Of course, since this is just a preliminary plan, it’s being implemented step by step.

First, by launching peripheral products for sale, to observe market demand and then consider the next steps.

In this area, it has to be said that Yao Shi is very experienced and visionary.

Fu Yu is also very confident in the plans Yao Shi has made for him.

Because he’s well aware of how excellent and effective his herbal cuisine is.

However, since these things haven’t been officially implemented yet, he can’t explain them in detail to Liu Yuqing.

Seeing Liu Yuqing’s face full of excitement staring at him, Fu Yu had no choice but to say, ”Well, because for customized herbal cuisines, we use a lot of precious herbal medicines, many of which are very expensive.”

Liu Yuqing, upon hearing this, casually asked, ”Really? Then those who can afford herbal cuisines must be rich ladies, right?”

Fu Yu chuckled, ”Of course, ordinary people can’t afford it.”

Four courses costing hundreds of thousands, how could ordinary people afford that?

Liu Yuqing looked at Fu Yu’s handsome face.

Fu Yu is a typical handsome guy from the northeast, usually with buzz-cut black hair, muscular arms from years of cooking, with broad shoulders and a cool way of dressing.

He has the elegance of a young man, detailed to his gentle and lively eyes and beautifully shaped lips, always with a slight smile, making him truly likable.

It’s not that Liu Yuqing doesn’t trust Fu Yu, but the larger environment is clear.

Fu Yu is young and handsome, cooks well, and has a warm and gentle personality.

He usually deals with affluent or noble customers while doing the herbal cuisine banquet.

Since herbal cuisine tends to focus on skincare and beauty, it certainly attracts wealthy women.

If a rich woman is also beautiful and a little younger, wouldn’t that be tempting?

Liu Yuqing rolled her eyes and suddenly started finding a reason to pick a fight, ”Fu Yu, I want to ask you something, be honest with me.”

The two of them held hands, cold as they were, with their fingers interlocked in Fu Yu’s down jacket pocket.

Fu Yu, smiling as he felt Liu Yuqing’s soft hand, instinctively turned his head to respond, ”What is it?”

Liu Yuqing turned her head slightly and quietly asked, ”Are there any young women among the customers who order herbal cuisine from you?”

Just as Fu Yu was about to answer, he noticed Liu Yuqing looking at him in a peculiar way. He quickly swallowed his words and, pausing for a moment, asked, ”Why are you asking this?”

Liu Yuqing frowned, using her usual tactic of stubbornly pestering, which had always worked, ”I’m just curious and want to know! Tell me, tell me, I really want to know...”

As she spoke coquettishly, she also gently scratched Fu Yu’s palm with her hand.

Fu Yu clasped Liu Yuqing’s hand, stopping her from causing trouble.

Liu Yuqing playfully resisted, twisting her hands inside the pocket.

”Hurry up! Is there or not?”

Fu Yu watched Liu Yuqing’s expression, seeing her being so earnest, he said, ”Of course there are, women of all ages.”

Liu Yuqing frowned, unhappy, ”Are they pretty...”

”I’m doing legitimate herbal cuisine customization, the entire process from ordering to serving dishes is just like in our store. At most, I need to communicate with the customers to understand their needs and then customize the herbal cuisine accordingly.”

”It’s just like how you guys take orders from customers; I uphold strict professional ethics, work is work.”

”And I never contact customers privately, there’s no need.”

”When they order the herbal cuisine banquet, it’s handled by the staff over at the music restaurant, and the payment goes directly into the financial department, so I won’t have any relationship beyond work with them.”

”Besides, I already have a girlfriend, do you lack faith in me or in yourself?”

”Don’t worry, now that I’m with you, my heart will have only you and will be with you wholeheartedly.”

”Truly.”

Fu Yu’s expression was calm, his tone gentle as the breeze, but he made an emotional guarantee and promise to Liu Yuqing with sincerity.

They didn’t have a formal confession when they got together; it was a natural progression.

Liu Yuqing knew she liked Fu Yu a lot, and she could feel that Fu Yu liked her too, but women always like to hear sweet words from their partner.

She didn’t expect Fu Yu to say something like this so suddenly, and her face turned red with shyness.

She looked at Fu Yu with delight, playfully scolding, ”Really? You like me that much?”

Fu Yu looked at Liu Yuqing, a slight smile on his lips, but in his eyes, there was depth, ”If I didn’t like you, why would I be dating you?”

Liu Yuqing looked straight at him, her heart pounding, ”I’ve always wanted to ask, when did you start liking me?”

Fu Yu glanced around, seeing no one nearby, he stopped, keeping one hand in his pocket tightly holding Liu Yuqing’s hand, while the other hand rested on her shoulder.
