Chapter 325: A Date with Delphine

Aetherʼs attire was a masterpiece of celestial elegance, radiating divine grace. His pure white garments clung to his frame with an ethereal quality, the intricate golden lines along the seams accentuating his form with a regal, otherworldly presence.

His black hair fell in soft waves, framing a face as handsome as it was serene, with ice-blue eyes that seemed to hold the ocean itself. ... He looked every bit like an angel!

Meanwhile,

Delphineʼs one-piece outfit was a stunning blend of modern elegance and timeless allure. The rich aqua fabric clung to her sexy curves, flowing like liquid silk over her body. The neckline dipped just low enough to tease, revealing a hint of her collarbone and the soft curve of her deep cleavage.

The dress hugged her waist, accentuating the gentle curve of her hips before cascading gracefully down her legs.

The delicate, sheer sleeves hinted at the smoothness of her skin beneath. Her long, aqua hair tumbled in soft waves down her back, perfectly complementing her dress. A pair of silver earrings dangled from her ears, catching the light and drawing attention to her graceful neck that any man would desire to kiss. The light, floral scent of her perfume left an indelible mark on anyone in her presence...

She looked every bit like a goddess!!

[Authorʼs Note: I know, I know.... Iʼm being a bit biased here. But what can I say? I really wanted to give Delphine the same amount of words as Aether... but I just.. couldnʼt help myself!

Sorry, everyone!]

”....”

”....”

Both Aether and Delphine stared at each other, not expecting the other to have gone to such lengths. Neither had anticipated that the other would prepare so meticulously for the evening.

They stared at each other as if they were lost in their own world... Until,

”Ahem!”

The soft sound of someone clearing their throat echoed in the intimate, candle-lit private dining room, snapping Aether and Delphine out of their moment.

They glanced at the waitress, who stood nearby with an amused, slightly blushing face. The roomʼs elegant decor, with its velvet drapes and dim lighting, added to the romantic atmosphere.

The waitress grinned knowingly before speaking, ”What would you like to order, Maʼam and Sir?” she asked, her voice warm and teasing, the quiet privacy of the room amplifying her words.

Aether, still catching his breath, offered a polite smile. ”Iʼll have the seared salmon, please. And for the drink, just water will do.”

The waitress nodded, jotting it down, then turned to Delphine, her grin widening just a fraction. ”And for the lady?”

Delphine, regaining her composure, smiled back with a soft, sincere smile. ”Iʼll have the lobster risotto. And a glass of your finest white wine, please.”

The waitress chuckled softly, her eyes twinkling as she took note. ”Excellent choices. Iʼll have those out for you shortly. Enjoy the evening,” she added with a knowing wink before turning to leave, the door to the private room closing quietly behind her.

As the soft glow of the candles flickered, Aether and Delphine exchanged warm smiles. Aether broke the silence first,

”Hmmm... You look absolutely stunning, Delphine. I canʼt take my eyes off you.”

Delphine blushed for a second before shyly replying, ”Y-You too... Aether, you look incredibly handsome.”

”....”

”....”

Both of them fell silent again. It wasnʼt awkward; rather, it was a silence filled with unspoken emotions, each of their hearts beating faster, uncertain of how to take the lead.

ʼShe really worked hard...ʼ Aether thought as he gazed at her face with a gentle expression. He really wanted to kiss her, to hold her tightly, but he knew he needed to be patient.

Meanwhile, Delphine was lost in her own thoughts, ʼH-He is really putting effort for this night out...ʼ She was elated, thinking that Aether would not be interested anymore, but here he was, looking more handsome than ever. She wanted to be held by him, but she knew she needed to take things slow and steady because she had something important to discuss.

”This is the new restaurant you mentioned?” Aether asked curiously, looking around. It was the same place where he got his nose cut, and the previous restaurant had been destroyed. Now, they had built another one in no time.

Delphine smiled, saying, ”This is my friendʼs new restaurant, and they wanted my review... So, I got a special privilege,” she said with a cute wink.

Aether blinked a few times, taken aback by her sudden cuteness. Unable to control himself, he reached out and held her hand, staring deeply into her eyes.

Delphineʼs blush deepened. She wriggled her hand to move, but Aetherʼs strong grip held her.

To be honest, she didnʼt even use force at all!

ʼOh! Come on! You need to shout and punch me...ʼ Aether screamed inwardly, looking at her cute expression. ʼIf you act like that... Donʼt you dare to question me after whatever happens!ʼ he gritted his teeth, trying to control his mind.

Delphine and Aether stared at each other before leaning towards the table. Delphineʼs fingers intertwined with Aetherʼs, gripping tightly. She wasnʼt sure what she was doing, but whenever she remembered how close Aria and Aether were, she felt she could not allow herself to lose.

Their faces were an inch away from each other. Aetherʼs nostrils flared as he inhaled her floral scent, and Delphineʼs breath quickened as she absorbed his intoxicating aroma, making her mind go blank.

”A-Aether....” Delphine slowly closed her eyes, about to close the inch between them... when,

Knock, Knock

The waitress opened the door and saw both Delphine and Aether in an intimate moment. There was a small blush on Delphineʼs cheeks. The waitress immediately understood, ʼTsk, I really came at the wrong time,ʼ she clicked her tongue before placing the dishes on the table.

She bowed with respect, ”Sorry for the intrusion, Maʼam and Sir. Please enjoy the dishes... I will be back with desserts after an hour,” she said with a wink at Aether and Delphine. ”Maybe after two hours?”

Delphineʼs face turned beet red, and she was about to stop the woman who was clearly misinterpreting the situation when Aether interrupted, ”I really love this restaurant, Miss... Please make it three hours,” he said with a wink.

The waitress blushed before nodding with respect. ”Of course, Sir. Your happiness is our wish...” she said, winking at Delphine before quietly walking away.

”Y-You...” Before Delphine could revert to her usual self due to her high embarrassment, Aether winked at her and said, ”I am just going to take my time to eat... the food!”

Delphineʼs face turned beet red again..... She was really suffering now!
