Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 318: You Monster!!

Selene walked away.

She was holding something back, something dangerous...

Selene was indeed trying her best not to kill Helena.

The thought of her beloved fueled every dark impulse within her, and she would do anything.... anything.... to protect what was hers, even if meant getting another girl!!

Finnian watched her retreat, a sense of unease settling in his gut. He then turned his gaze to Helena, who was still sitting there, her face pale and her hands trembling slightly. ”You need to stay away from them,” Finnian said, his voice low but firm. ”Those people are not good for you.”

Meanwhile,

Victor was fully immersed in the intricacies of the tool before him, his mind absorbed in the complexity of the technology he was working on.

His fingers moved deftly, adjusting the microscopeʼs settings with precision. The world around him seemed to fade away, leaving only the device and the challenge it presented.

Ashara, who had been watching him for some time, grew bored of the silence and the meticulousness of Victorʼs work.

Her thoughts drifted until a lingering question surfaced, one that had been gnawing at the edges of her mind. Without giving it much thought, she blurted out, ”Did you hear...? There are rumours going around that Professor Kennedy Blade was killed.” Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she searched Victorʼs face for a reaction.

Victorʼs hands stilled, his fingers hovering above the tool as a deep frown etched itself onto his brow. ʼSo, the rumours have already started spreading...ʼ he thought, feeling a mix of irritation and resignation.

He slowly turned his gaze to Ashara, who was watching him intently, her expression almost accusatory....as if she believed he might be the one responsible.

”No, I did not,” Victor replied, his tone flat and dismissive. He returned to his work, but the tension in his posture was unmistakable.

Asharaʼs shoulders slumped slightly, a wave of disappointment washing over her for reasons she couldnʼt quite explain but still, ʼHow did know what I was thinking?ʼ she thought.

ʼDid she really think I would kill a professor?ʼ Victorʼs thoughts were tinged with annoyance.

ʼIʼm a dedicated student—why would I do something like that?ʼ But as he glanced around the room, he noticed the furtive glances and uneasy whispers among his classmates. It wasnʼt just Ashara who had doubts; it seemed the entire class was harbouring similar suspicions.

The memory of that day flashed through Victorʼs mind.... the day he had nearly burned Kennedy.... when Kennedy had pushed him too far. The students had witnessed it, had seen the darkness in his eyes, and now they were drawing their own conclusions.

It was then that the classroom door burst open with a loud bang, startling everyone inside.

”YOU MONSTER!!!”

The shout was shrill and filled with fury.

Every head turned toward the door, where Kenley stood, her face twisted with rage and grief. Kenley, the Senior and Kennedyʼs niece stormed into the room, her eyes locked onto Victor with a hatred that burned brighter than the flames.

”You rotten animal!” she spat, her voice trembling with barely contained emotion. ”How dare you kill my uncle!” Her friends rushed forward, trying to hold her back, sensing that if she got too close to Victor, things might escalate dangerously.

Victorʼs frown deepened, but a slow, cold grin spread across his face as he leaned back in his chair. With deliberate, calculated arrogance, he lifted one leg and rested it on the table, his posture exuding a contemptuous confidence.

”Killed your uncle?” he repeated, his voice dripping with disdain, ”Do you have any proof, or are you just slinging baseless accusations because youʼre in the mood to be a bitch?”

Kenleyʼs face flushed an even deeper shade of red, her fury boiling over as she struggled against her friendsʼ restraining hands, ”You rotten animal!” she screamed, her voice breaking. ”Iʼll kill you! I swear, Iʼll kill you for what you did to him!”

Victor remained unfazed, his grin widening as he lazily waved a hand. ”Just leave, Kenley. Iʼm not in the mood to play your childish games.”

But Kenley was beyond reason. Her eyes filled with tears, and her voice choked with sobs as she continued to fight against her friends, ”Iʼll kill you, you bastard!” she wailed, her tears spilling down her cheeks, ”Iʼll make you suffer for what you did to my uncle! H-He was a good man... ʼHicʼ...

You know that...” She then glared at the remaining students and shouted while sobbing, ”Does everyone in the Elite like him!!! ʼSobʼ, K-Killing others without hesitation?”

For a moment, the classroom was filled with the sound of her sobs, raw and full of pain. The sight of Kenleyʼs tears and words stirred something in the hearts of the justice students..... something primal and protective.

Leon, who had been silently watching the scene unfold, felt a surge of anger rise within him. His voice, usually calm, was now laced with fury as he shouted at Victor, ”You bastard! How could you kill her uncle?!”

Victorʼs eyes narrowed, the coldness in his expression intensifying, ”Youʼre going to believe her words without any evidence?” he asked.

Leon sneered, not backing down, ”Do you think her tears are fake? You must have done it,” he declared, his conviction unwavering.

He stepped closer to Kenley, his expression softening as he turned to her with a reassuring smile, ”Donʼt worry, Madam. My friends and I will get to the bottom of this. Weʼll see that justice is done.” He nodded to Kai, who immediately stood up, his eyes filled with a sense of righteous duty.

”Yes, Miss Kenley,” Kai proclaimed, puffing out his chest with pride, ”Once I find the culprit, Iʼll personally deliver my judgment as an Arcane King!” His voice carried a tone of absolute certainty and glared at Victor as if he had already decided Victorʼs guilt.

Victor nearly rolled his eyes at the display, fighting the urge to facepalm. ʼIdiots,ʼ he thought, his patience wearing thin. But before he could respond, a new voice echoed through the room.

”Oh! This is interesting... Mind telling me whatʼs going on?” The voice was light and filled with amusement, completely out of place in the tense atmosphere.

The students turned to see Alaric, standing at the doorway, a grin on his face that suggested he had just stumbled upon the most entertaining scene of the day.

ʼTsk,ʼ Victor clicked his tongue, his annoyance growing. Alaric was the last person he wanted to be involved in this mess.

But still,

ʼHehe... This bitch...ʼ Victor uncannily laughed inside.
