Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 291: New Powers?

When Aether handed the money to the Archpriestess, he did it with a deliberate purpose, driven by two distinct reasons.

First, the obvious one: he had a strong displeasure at how he had acquired the money and..... yet to notify Lia.

Second, it was a test... a crucial experiment.

For his Ethereal Domain, it was essential to aid the pure beings who were in dire need of assistance.

The first thought that came to his mind was the orphanage.

The orphanage was a place filled with pure beings, children, who were innocent and in desperate need of support. They were the embodiment of purity, untouched by the corruption and complexities of the adult world.

So, he decided to give the money to the Archpriestess, hoping it would find its way to the orphanage. He wanted to see if there was a possibility that this money would truly help the children in need in their lives.

As he had hoped, the money did reach the children who needed it the most at the moment.

When Aether saw his Arcane Card etched with a pure white drop, he couldnʼt help but smile. The balance between the black and white energies within him was becoming more equal. Then, a notification sounded,

!~Ding~!

[Tolerance of a 15% difference between the domains is Maintained!]

[Initiating ####### Card]

The card that had been hovering in the middle of the domains suddenly flickered before swirling around Aether like a tornado. It then dispersed into countless particles...

Ssssshhhhhhh

These white and black particles quickly entered Aetherʼs body. His form glowed black for a moment, then white for another, as immense power coursed through him, making him feel as if he was about to burst.

”What in the...” he muttered, frowning as he tried to process the overwhelming sensation. Then, another notification chimed,

!~Ding~!

[Upon summoning your ####### Card, you will be able to utilize Origin/Desired weapons from the seduced individuals listed in the ʼLogʼ]

!~Ding~!

[Stella: Error!! Unable to use due to Your Current Level]

[Aria Zephyr: Origin Weapon:- Twilight Eclipse]

[Aqualina Naiadia: Origin Weapon:- Oceanic Tempest]

Aether blinked a few times before ecstatic, ʼFucking OP!!! I can really use othersʼ weapons...ʼ he screamed inwardly.

He never thought this was possible!!

But then his excitement turned to confusion as he looked at Stellaʼs details. ʼIs she really more powerful than me?ʼ he wondered, his brow furrowing in thought.

No matter how he looked at it, Stella had always seemed weaker than him..... However, something had changed.

ʼMaybe her healing powers have increased now...?ʼ Aether thought, his gaze doubtful. Suddenly, his body glistened, and his Arcane Card appeared.

Aether stared at the transparent card. Only a small portion (Half an inch) of it was filled with white and black diagonally. He let out a wry smile, ʼItʼs really going to take a long time... isnʼt it?ʼ he mused.

!~Ding~!

[The aforementioned actions occur only when you maintain tolerance; otherwise, you cannot use the weapons!]

”I see...” Aether nodded in understanding. ”Looks like I need to maintain them equally...” Just as he was about to move to touch his card hovering in the middle, his consciousness returned to his body, and...

”V-Victor?”

Hearing a trembling, feminine voice, Victor snapped back to reality and looked down.... only to see Ashara.

Her face was red, shy, and teary-eyed. She was backed against the wall, cornered by him.... It was like a cute little puppy caught by the Lion!

Seeing her vulnerable expression, Victor inwardly gulped.

He wanted to move away, but he needed to maintain his arrogant facade. Gently, he took a strand of her grey hair, startling Ashara again. She watched as Victor sniffed her hair, her breath hitching.

”W-Wait! Don---” Her words were cut off when,

”Hmmm... Your smell is really unique and quite exciting...” Victor mumbled softly. He wasnʼt saying this to escape; he genuinely meant it. Her scent was intoxicating, stirring something deep within him.

ʼMaybe itʼs because of her succubus lineage?ʼ Victor pondered, his thoughts racing.

Meanwhile,

Asharaʼs eyes widened in shock. She couldnʼt believe what she was hearing and seeing. Her lips quivered as she nervously asked, ”A-Are you alright?”

”Hmm... Of course.”

”Really?” Ashara leaned in closer, scrutinizing his face for any signs of abnormality.

If it had been Aether, he might have stepped back, but as Victor, he stood his ground and replied, ”Yes, is something the matter?”

”Huh? N-Nothing!” Ashara quickly backed away, her face turning a bright shade of red as she felt his warm breath against her skin.

Victor couldnʼt help but grin at her reaction, ”Your blushing face... itʼs kind of cute~” he teased, his voice filled with playful.

Asharaʼs face instantly flushed an even deeper shade of red. She hurriedly pushed him off and shouted, ”A friend shouldnʼt tease another friend!” before turning and walking away... more like running away.

Victor laughed, the sound deep and resonant, before turning his attention to the principalʼs house..... He had something important to test.

Since the principalʼs house was technically his own, he had keys and entered without drawing attention. Alaric, who was watching from a distance, gritted his teeth in jealousy as Victor entered what he considered his beloved home.

Victor stood inside the training room, a spacious area designed for honing oneʼs skills.

He took a deep breath, and summoned his Arcane Card and,

”Twilight Eclipse,” he murmured, his voice filled with anticipation.

The card suddenly dispersed, transforming into a pure white compound bow with a sleek black string.... It was identical to Ariaʼs, except for the colour.

Victorʼs face lit up with amusement and excitement, ”If she saw this, sheʼd be over the moon, knowing her beloved had the same weapon as hers...”

He pulled the string, and an arrow materialized out of thin air. Remembering Ariaʼs teachings, he took a deep, steadying breath. Aria had always emphasized the importance of focus and precision:

”Your aim should not be on the target; rather, it should be on the mark.”

She meant that when aiming at an object... like a deer, his target was the deer, but that didnʼt mean he could fire the arrow anywhere on it. He needed to focus on a specific spot.... The mark.

Every target had a mark. If you wanted the target to suffer, the mark was where it would die a painful death.

If you didnʼt want it to suffer, the mark was where it would die instantly.

A true hunter!

Victor smiled her words echoing in his mind. He aimed at the apple, focusing intently on... the mark, and released the arrow.

Ssssshhh

Thud

”Hehe...” Victor giggled, a sense of accomplishment swelling within him when the arrow hit the stem.

He was satisfied with his progress, but his training was far from over. He nocked another arrow, aiming at a series of targets at varying distances and powers of the arrows...

She told him she could put a magic spell on the Arrow so, He was about to nock another arrow when,

/Aether!/

/Sel?/ Victor frowned, sensing the urgency in Seleneʼs telepathic message.

/Could you come to the library? Itʼs urgent/

Hearing her serious tone, Victor immediately abandoned his training and hurried to the library.

As he arrived, he was met with a shocking sight...

Aqualina... NTRed!
