The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 528: Chapter 528: The Coolness Desired

Huangfu Jingchen, whose thoughts were drifting uncontrollably far away, began to breathe a bit heavily.

His mind was entangled with Xia Wenjin’s bright smile, her enchanting eyes and brows, her porcelain-like skin, her delicate cheeks that seemed to shatter with a touch, her rosy cherry lips...

A strange aura roamed within his body, flowing and surging, burning intensely wherever it passed, as if it was about to set his whole being aflame.

He felt like a traveler in the desert who hadn’t drunk water for days, his heart parched and unbearable, yet burning beyond measure.

That aura continued to flow within him, and he struggled to resist it, trying to lessen the heat, but the more he suppressed it, the hotter it became.

Only when he saw that smiling face in his mind did he feel slightly cooler.

However, that slight coolness was like a drop in the bucket, far from enough to extinguish the flames that were rising all over him.

Huangfu Jingchen suddenly opened his eyes, which were burning red like flames. Xia Wenjin was right in front of him, seriously administering acupuncture to his chest.

Acupuncture looked simple, but it was not easy. Every acupuncture point, every meridian allowed no room for error. Xia Wenjin’s eyes were focused on his acupuncture point. Although she noticed his breathing had become heavier, she didn’t pay attention. Someone who could endure such pain couldn’t consider this second step’s anomaly a big deal.

However, just when the needle in her hand hadn’t gone in yet, a great force suddenly rushed toward her, and then she was pushed down onto the couch.

Xia Wenjin, caught off guard, was shocked and exclaimed, ”Huang Zheng, what are you doing?”

Having been pushed over, how could she continue the acupuncture?

Huangfu Jingchen’s eyes burned as if they wanted to burst into flames. He leaned in, trapping Xia Wenjin beneath him, ”Wenjin, I... I feel uncomfortable...”

What followed were the sounds Yan Nan heard.

Yan Nan’s feeling was correct. At this moment, Huangfu Jingchen had indeed transformed like a wolf.

Clothes were torn open, lips captured, the youth’s scorching breath seemed to engulf a person entirely. The air heated up, Xia Wenjin’s words swallowed into him, with only muffled sounds escaping, her mind dizzy.

The clean and sharp scent from the youth combined with the burning breath surrounded her entirely, entwining and swirling, as if about to melt her.

What had gone wrong?

Although with the follow-up acupuncture, Huang Zheng was indeed expected to feel a bit abnormal, body fever, maybe some impulse. But those were supposed to be minor issues, Huang Zheng could easily tolerate the pain of tumultuous and reversed meridians, so it should be easily surmountable.

Why did Huang Zheng suddenly lose control?

Xia Wenjin was kissed to the point of almost being unable to breathe, the youth’s actions eager yet clumsy, though he quickly, without being taught, became skilled and fanatical.

His upper body clothing was already removed, his originally cool and suave skin now felt like a ball of fire engulfing her whole being.

His strong and powerful arms held her within his embrace.

Xia Wenjin reached out to push, but against the broad chest of the youth, it was powerless. The youth discontentedly freed a hand to cradle her nape, deepening the kiss.

In the thin air between their teeth, amidst the dizziness, almost suffocating Xia Wenjin struggled to reclaim her thoughts. Though the youth’s kiss made her blush and her heart race, even her breath heavier by several degrees.

Especially as the air grew thinner, her heart beat chaotically and erratically. At this rate, would she not suffocate and die?

She struggled to control her increasingly rapid heartbeat, the uninserted silver needle still between her fingertips, trembling even to her fingertips amidst the body’s strange sensory experience.

Xia Wenjin sharply pinched her own fingertip, snapping herself awake, and firmly plunged the silver needle in, as it mostly embedded into the youth’s acupuncture point.

The youth lost in the beauty of the girl’s lips and teeth was suddenly startled, his thoughts gradually returning, the chaos in his mind slowly calming down, and the burning aura that was about to ignite his being was eased, with the part of him desperately seeking a breakthrough seemingly under control.

He widened his eyes, looking at the girl’s blushing face beneath him, her disarrayed clothing, instantly flashing a look of panic in his eyes.

What had he just done?

His ears seemed to recall the earlier sounds of Xia Wenjin’s resistance, he suddenly propped himself up, his face flushed red like blood, more filled with self-reproach, he lifted a hand, slapping his own face.

With a crisp slap, the pain made the fog in his mind clearer, red marks appearing on his white cheeks.

He looked at her helplessly, guilt and a plea for forgiveness in his eyes, ”Wenjin, I... I’m sorry...”

Xia Wenjin sat up, her face also burning hot, the youth’s panic and helplessness, and the confusion in his eyes stirred an odd sensation within her.

She wasn’t new to treatment, how could such an issue arise?

The first step went smoothly; the second step should have gone off without a hitch.

Yet, it was this second step that ran into an accident.

Though her silver needle was eventually inserted smoothly, those previous circumstances...

If she had lost her precision earlier, Huang Zheng could have been in mortal danger. Moreover, the chaos just now almost melted her in the youth’s heat, making her both shy and puzzled, of course, with a slight tinge of lingering fear.

She covered her clothing, luckily it was only the outer garment that had been torn.

Xia Wenjin coughed lightly to cover her inner turmoil. Reflecting carefully, her technique had no issues, the needle had no issues, and the treatment logic likewise had no issues.

If the problem wasn’t with her, then it was with Huang Zheng.

Her limpid eyes fixed on Huangfu Jingchen, her gaze dubious, ”Did you perhaps... think something you shouldn’t have while I was performing the acupuncture earlier?”

Huangfu Jingchen was stunned, earlier he was thinking... when she had teased him about warming the bed... then, his mind unwittingly conjured up a romantic scenario, and then...

His face flushed a deep red, not daring to meet Xia Wenjin’s eyes.

From his reaction, Xia Wenjin knew she’d guessed right.

She was rendered speechless yet somewhat disheartened, earlier in the second step of the acupuncture, it would indeed arouse some lustful feelings within Huang Zheng, but that was because of the constant flow of blood, Inner Strength clashing repeatedly, coupled with the needle technique she used to guide the energy through his meridians, it would create a special response.

She had also reminded Huang Zheng before to stay calm afterward.

But she couldn’t have anticipated such an accident would happen, after all, she couldn’t control what one’s mind might think.

Feeling even more disheartened, she just wanted to do a good deed till the end, Huang Zheng was after all a friend, his life was saved by her, so to help him completely remove any hidden dangers was only natural.

But what was the outcome?

Did she not just receive ingratitude instead of thanks?
