The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 526: Chapter 526: You Said You Needed This

Aunt Zhou glared at him, ”You little brat, I got it, I’ll be more careful next time. You haven’t answered me, where did that girl come from? Who is she? The princely heir is in a dangerous situation right now. He can’t let anyone know about him living here!”

Oh, what a good kid the Princely Heir is, why is he bringing girls into the house now?

Aunt Zhou felt both worried and somewhat gratified.

Yan Nan said, ”Don’t worry, this girl is the princely heir’s friend!”

Oh, she’s a friend, that’s even better! Aunt Zhou breathed a sigh of relief, suddenly remembering something, she said, ”Nan, you told me before to make the best pastries for the princely heir, was it for this girl?”

”Of course!” Yan Nan jumped down, quickly grabbed a piece of pastry from the tray and ate it, praising, ”Aunt Zhou’s skills are still so good, these pastries are delicious.”

Aunt Zhou quickly stepped aside, ”You naughty brat, these are for the princely heir’s guest, are you stealing food too? By the way, Nan, do you know where this girl is from? Our princely heir has such a kind heart, in his eyes everyone is good, you need to pay more attention!”

Yan Nan said, ”Aunt Zhou, you are right in saying you watched the princely heir grow up, but you can’t always think of him as a child. The princely heir is very capable! Whether someone is good or bad, the princely heir can tell, can’t he?”

Aunt Zhou glared at him and said, ”I know, I know, in my eyes, aren’t all of you kids?” She winked and then smiled broadly, ”Tell me, how did the princely heir meet this girl?”

”How would I know?” Yan Nan said, ”This is a friend he met in Jianghu. This girl is amazing, she even saved the princely heir’s life!”

”So, the princely heir likes her, doesn’t he?” Aunt Zhou smiled knowingly.

Yan Nan said, ”I don’t know about the princely heir’s matters, Aunt Zhou, you’re quite bold, daring to pry into the princely heir’s affairs?”

Aunt Zhou chuckled, ”How dare I, you know that’s not what I meant! I’m just concerned!” Then she said worriedly, ”If this girl saved our princely heir’s life, then she’s an benefactor of our house. Since the princely heir likes her, isn’t this a bit improper?”

Yan Nan said, ”Improper in what way?” He suddenly realized, ”Oh, you mean they went into the room?”

Aunt Zhou nodded and said, ”Our master has a family tradition, the eldest and second young masters can only marry the ones they love, and they’re only allowed to have one wife and no concubines. If it’s not a formal marriage, wouldn’t it wrong the girl?”

Yan Nan: ”...”

He said speechlessly, ”Aunt Zhou, aren’t you overthinking?”

”Am I overthinking? But I saw it with my own eyes...”

”You saw wrong!” Yan Nan took the tray and said, ”Aunt Zhou, you shouldn’t poke your nose into the princely heir’s affairs! I’ll take this over!”

Aunt Zhou suppressed her curiosity, thinking whether it was true or not, it was a good thing either way.

If it’s true, doesn’t that mean the princely heir’s good fortune is near?

If it’s not true, the princely heir likes the girl, it’s only a matter of time.

Thinking of this, Aunt Zhou happily went back to the front yard.

After Huangfu Jingchen led Xia Wenjin into the room, he asked, ”Do I need to take off my clothes for you to do acupuncture?”

Xia Wenjin gave him a glance, with a smile that was not quite a smile, ”Of course you do!”

Huangfu Jingchen immediately began to undress.

Xia Wenjin: ”...”

Oh, he has improved. She remembered how in Jiazhou, he avoided her like the plague, not to mention stripping in front of her, he wished he could be as far away as possible.

In just a moment of being in a daze, he had already taken off his upper garment and seemed to be in the mood to remove his pants. Xia Wenjin quickly said, ”Stop, stop, stop!”

Huangfu Jingchen, holding his waistband with both hands, looked innocent, ”You were the one who said to take off clothes!”

Xia Wenjin: ”...”

The boy’s porcelain white skin was right in front of her, appearing a bit thin when clothed, but once disrobed, you could see the muscles beneath. Almost perfect abs, a narrow waist, wide shoulders, the only imperfections being the scars on his body.

However, his overly white skin originally seemed a bit delicate. With these scars added, the slight femininity disappeared, and combined with his tall stature, standing in front of Xia Wenjin with a hint of pressure made her breathing somewhat uneven.

She hurriedly stepped back and said, ”Just the upper garment will do, sit down, I’ll give you acupuncture!”

Seeing her somewhat flustered, quickly averting eyes, Huangfu Jingchen’s expression remained innocent and earnest, but as he turned around, the corners of his lips curled into a subtle smile.

Previously, she always teased him, leaving him both angry and flustered, bringing an unexpected embarrassment and helplessness.

So she can be embarrassed too, she can blush as well.

Now, he’s finally had the chance to see her embarrassed. Especially when seeing the blush spread over her porcelain-like cheeks as she looked aside, Huangfu Jingchen’s mood naturally soared.

However, Xia Wenjin did not notice the boy’s light-hearted laughter.

At this moment, she was standing behind Huangfu Jingchen.

With his garments removed, the young man’s jade-white back was straight and his shoulders broad, which should have been a smooth back, now marked with many scars.

Old and new wounds overlapped, truly a shocking sight. Though healed, it’s not difficult to imagine how the young man must have struggled on the brink of life and death when injured.

Actually, Xia Wenjin was not unfamiliar with these wounds. Aside from a few faint, distant scars, nearly all of them were treated by her.

He may have been born into wealth, living a life of luxury, but being pulled back from the brink of death twice shows that behind the boy’s illustrious identity lies a connection with life and death.

A tender feeling unexpectedly rose in Xia Wenjin’s heart; her hand unconsciously touched the longest and widest scar, murmuring almost in whispers, ”It must have hurt a lot, didn’t it?”

At that time, he was unconscious during treatment, but he awoke before healing. Then he was covered in wounds, and her actions weren’t gentle, yet he never uttered a word of complaint, only occasionally furrowing his brows.

Thinking back now, he must have been in pain back then as well.

Xia Wenjin’s voice was so light, like a gentle breeze passing through. It was merely a voice from the depths of her heart that unknowingly slipped out into words. ℴ

Huangfu Jingchen said, ”What?”

”Ah, nothing! I said I’ll start now!” In the flip of Xia Wenjin’s wrist, two silver needles appeared between her fingers.

The corners of Huangfu Jingchen’s lips lifted again.

He had heard it, but the voice was so soft; he thought he had heard it wrong.

Xia Wenjin’s response carried a hint of defensiveness, she was trying to mask it.

Although he hadn’t turned back, the image of her embarrassment involuntarily floated in Huangfu Jingchen’s mind.

His eyes brimmed with laughter.

Coming back to her senses, Xia Wenjin gripped the needle, her expression hesitant, pausing for a moment before saying, ”Huang Zheng, this acupuncture method of mine might be... hard for you to endure!”
