Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2499: Chapter 2508: Still Had to Bow and Admit Mistakes

No one knew the Young Madam’s family matters better than him.

Back then, it was Jacob Clark’s family who were shameless, and the Young Madam suffered a lot. Her mother even died protecting her from Jacob Clark’s actions.

The talk about a mistress is utter nonsense.

Juliet Jordan openly admitted that Samantha Lewis had no idea Jacob Clark was married at the time. Once she found out, despite being eight months pregnant, she immediately sought out Jacob Clark to end things with him. She took the child with her, ensuring there were no ties to the Clark Family. Jacob Clark, fearing Samantha might come back to him after having the illegitimate daughter, bribed the delivery nurse and had Samantha killed on the operating table to save face.

This matter can be easily verified; it’s absurd that Audrey Hartwell would still spread lies.

The Hartwell Family is a minor one, and he couldn’t care less. But since Wendy Hanson brought Audrey here, and now Audrey is speaking recklessly, Wendy has to take responsibility.

As soon as Audrey Hartwell heard Enna Clark demand compensation, she jumped up, pointing angrily at Enna’s nose and growling, ”I’ve already apologized to you, what more do you want? Demanding compensation from the start, then asking for an apology, you bi—...”

Before she could finish, Wendy Hanson couldn’t take it anymore and slapped her across the face, cutting off the almost-spoken vulgar word, ”Shut up!”

Audrey Hartwell, having been slapped, immediately covered her cheek. Normally, anyone who dared to hit her would face her wrath, but this was her cousin, whom she had feared since childhood. She had to swallow her pride, but her eyes turned red, filled with anger and disbelief, ”Cousin, you hit me?”

Did she think she was untouchable?

Audrey Hartwell really thought she was some big deal?

Wendy Hanson was so furious that she could hardly breathe; her beautiful face turned sullen, lips pressed tight, fists clenched, her expression frozen and icy, suppressing her anger, standing tall with a steady voice, ”Audrey, if you keep acting this way, I’ll have no choice but to send you back to your family.”

Just based on Audrey’s behavior today, she needed to send her back home.

She would definitely explain this matter to her parents when she got home. She couldn’t allow Audrey to stay with her any longer. The only reason she kept her around was because Audrey had seemed sensible and was always flattering her carefully. Now, she deeply regretted softening up and keeping her. Audrey had been spoiled by her family to the point of losing sight of reality.

Audrey was just a distraction left by her mother while she was recuperating abroad, and she had come to think of herself as the heiress of the Hanson Family.

Even getting her to apologize brought so much trouble.

When Audrey Hartwell heard Wendy Hanson threaten to send her away, it seemed to hit her weak spot, and her arrogance was immediately subdued. However, tears of grievance welled up, and she glared at Enna Clark with resentment, as if it were Enna’s fault she might be sent away, her eyes filled with hatred.

”Audrey.” Wendy Hanson coldly reminded her, seeing that she still hadn’t apologized.

Audrey Hartwell’s back stiffened, and with no other choice, she lowered her head, ”Ms. Clark, I’m sorry, it was my mistake, I was being immature. I apologize for my actions earlier, and I hope you can be magnanimous and not hold it against me.”

Every word she spoke stabbed at her own heart, slowing her pace as she went, and if it weren’t for Wendy Hanson’s threatening gaze fixed on her, she would have been unable to continue.
