Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2460: Chapter 2469: Adam Sinclair’s Unexpectedly Complicated Past

Sydney Sullivan picked up the coffee cup, rubbed it with her fingers, and a fleeting look of bewilderment crossed her noble and proud face. She paused for half a second before slowly speaking, ”Adam’s father and I didn’t get together because of love; it was because of a business marriage. At that time, I had just returned from studying abroad, and there was a major project that needed cooperation between the two families. The funds involved in the project were enormous, almost the entire bottom line of both companies. If successful, both companies would rise to a new level. If it failed, both would be utterly defeated!

With such a large project, neither family trusted the other, so the story predictably turned into a family alliance through marriage. By relying on marriage, making the other family’s child our in-laws, both families were closely tied together. I was the only daughter of the Sullivan Family, and the Sinclair Family, Adam’s father, was chosen to become my husband.

Before we got married, I had never met that man. Later, we got married and lived respectfully with each other for a while. However, as that honeymoon phase passed, I became pregnant with Adam, and only then did I slowly realize that he had a girlfriend before marrying me.

That girlfriend was someone he met while studying, and they always had a good relationship. After marrying me, he still did not break off contact with that woman but secretly reunited with her every month behind my back. When I was pregnant with Adam, that woman was also pregnant.

At that time, I was in unbearable pain, but it was the most critical moment in both companies’ cooperation, and I couldn’t propose a divorce at that time.”

Sydney’s voice was distant, as if coming from far away. Her whole demeanor was calm and composed as she talked about past events, as if the woman who was pregnant and experienced betrayal from her husband wasn’t herself.

”I endured it, and later Adam was born. The cooperation between the two companies also ended successfully, and both sides won! When I discovered that he still had contact with his ex-girlfriend behind my back, I was indeed angry and couldn’t accept it. I even thought about divorcing him every day and showing him and that woman a lesson. But when I gave birth to Adam, I changed my mind.

After finding out that the woman also gave birth to a son, I hired a private detective to take photos of the three of them. Then, holding Adam and this set of photos, I went to see the then head of the Sinclair Family, Adam’s Grandpa, and placed the photos in his office, proposing a divorce.

At the time, although the cooperation between our two companies had ended smoothly, both still had some strategic reliance on other projects. And that woman’s background was very ordinary and could not bring any help to the Sinclair Family or Adam’s father. Just as I expected, Old Master did his best to keep me. Then, in front of me, he furiously called Adam’s father and slapped him, demanding that Adam’s father break up with that woman.”

She sneered at this point, ”Tsk tsk, what’s the use of breaking up? What I wanted was not their breakup. I made this scene, instead of directly divorcing Benjamin Sinclair, all for my son. I, a dignified socialite from the Sullivan family, don’t care for a man who has other women in his heart! So, when their father-son argument was at its peak, I made my request.

I only made one demand at that time—do you know what it was?”

Olivia Lewis never expected Adam Sinclair’s background to be so complicated. She moved her lips, ”To have Adam inherit the Sinclair Family?”
