Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2455: Chapter 2464: An Urgent Matter

Enna Clark was busy to the point of being overwhelmed, and it wasn’t until after two in the afternoon that she had a little downtime, when Olivia Lewis called.

”Hello.”

As soon as she picked up, the voice on the other end sounded extremely rushed, ”Enna, where are you? I need to talk to you, let’s meet at the usual place at three. It’s settled.”

”What’s happened?”

Before she could finish speaking, Olivia Lewis was speaking as if something was chasing her, ”I’ll tell you when you get there. That’s a deal, hurry up, I’m waiting for you. Don’t ditch me!”

”Hey, Olivia...”

”Beep beep...”

The other end had already hung up.

Olivia Lewis actually hung up just like that...

Enna Clark smirked and put down the phone, glancing at the time. She pulled out her chair and stood up, turning off the computer in passing, rubbed her aching temple, and walked out of the study.

Scott Harris was just carrying freshly brewed coffee to bring to her, and seeing her come out, he asked in surprise, ”Young Madam, are you done with work?”

Enna Clark picked up the bag on the sofa and shook her head, ”No, I have an urgent matter and need to go out for a while.”

Scott Harris quickly put down the coffee cup and said, ”I’ll drive you.”

Enna Clark knew he was concerned about her safety, especially now during this special time. She didn’t refuse, nodding in agreement, ”Alright, thank you, Mr. Harris.”

Seeing her agreement, Scott Harris smiled slightly, relieved, ”It’s my duty. Before he left, Lord particularly instructed me to look after Young Madam, preferably keeping close to her 24 hours a day. I’m also worried about Young Madam going out alone.”

Preferably staying with her 24 hours?

Enna Clark’s temple throbbed, and she felt a headache, but these were indeed words that man might actually say.

100% Baron Lawrence’s style!

...

With Scott Harris driving, Enna Clark arrived at the café she agreed on with Olivia Lewis promptly before three.

As soon as she pushed the door open, she saw Olivia Lewis sitting at their usual spot.

”Here!” Olivia Lewis saw her too, immediately took off her glasses, stood up, and waved enthusiastically towards her, as if worried she might not notice.

Seeing her from afar, Enna Clark noticed her good spirits, relaxed her shoulders, and walked over.

”Enna, you finally came.”

As Enna Clark walked over, Olivia Lewis had already pulled out a chair for her.

”Sit down.”

She was acting so damn eager today, Enna Clark looked at her suspiciously, not hurriedly sitting down, and asked, ”Olivia, what really happened, why did you suddenly call me?”

When Enna Clark asked about this, Olivia Lewis, who was unfoundedly attentive, froze for a moment, then awkwardly lifted her head, stood in front of Enna Clark, and suddenly said, ”It’s nothing really, Enna, what do you think of me?”

Enna Clark was bewildered by her series of abnormal actions and instinctively asked, ”What do you mean by ’think’?”

”I mean, do I look different now compared to usual... haven’t you noticed I look different than usual?” Olivia Lewis appeared as if she wanted to press a magnifying glass to Enna Clark’s eye to make her see clearly, emphasizing her words and turning around in front of Enna Clark, ”Take another look, look closely at what’s different about me!”

What’s different... Enna Clark had known her for several years, and being asked so suddenly, she just realized Olivia indeed seemed a bit different today.
