Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2454: Chapter 2463: A Fully Booked Day

Scott Harris silently turned on the large blue-screen TV in the living room for her, switching to the morning news channel.

This was Baron Lawrence’s habit when having breakfast.

Now that he’s not home, Scott Harris still adhered to his habit, turning on the TV for Enna Clark.

The crisp voice of the news host on the TV pulled Enna Clark’s distracted thoughts back...

The female host on the TV was calmly reporting, ”In Yluria Country, several violent incidents have recently occurred. Last night’s neighborhood violence resulted in casualties, 3 dead, 16 injured. According to the police Publicity Department, all the casualties were from both sides participating in the violence, there were no civilian casualties...

Our station’s investigation found that these recent violent incidents are related to a secretive Dark Family. Recently, the second generation of this family seems to be fighting for inheritance rights, leading to fierce conflicts, resulting in these tragic casualties.

This Dark Family is deeply rooted and has widespread influence, with ties to political and business circles. If the family internal conflict further escalates, it could affect the Yluria Country’s political and financial sectors. Hopefully, the family can resolve its internal strife soon, preventing any major upheaval to Yluria Country.”

Family, internal strife, bloody violence...

The spoon in Enna Clark’s hand almost fell, as the image of a long-unseen man appeared in her mind.

Lyle Westbrook...

She remembered before he left, he mentioned some family matters, needing to leave for a while.

And the last time, when his driver found her, when she saw him at the villa, he also had a gunshot wound.

So, the Dark Family mentioned in the news refers to the Westbrook Family?

Enna Clark was well aware of the Westbrook Family’s influence in Yluria Country, and understood its status.

The Westbrook Family perfectly matches the description given in the news of a massive Dark Family.

Unintentionally, Enna Clark tightened her grip on the spoon, a trace of concern flickered across her brow.

Her worry for Lyle Westbrook was purely out of concern for a friend, for someone who has been kind to her, not due to any improper feelings.

Lyle Westbrook had saved Gigi more than once and had helped her, she hoped nothing would happen to him.

Enna Clark pursed her lips, her gaze fixed on the TV. The host was already reporting the next piece of news. Enna Clark took a deep breath and decided to call Edward Jackson.

After finishing her call and returning to breakfast, the porridge had gone cold.

Scott Harris reheated it in the microwave and brought it back to her.

”Young Madam, please have some food first.”

After talking with Edward Jackson, Enna Clark felt much more relaxed, hummed in acknowledgment, picked up her spoon, and started eating breakfast. She wasn’t just idle today; she had work to do. After work, she had to pick up Bobby from school and take Bobby for the Pineapple Rice they missed yesterday. Returning home at night, she had promised someone to have a video call... Her day was fully packed, with almost no personal time.

Enna Clark was a very disciplined person. After breakfast, she immediately pulled back her chair, stood up and said to Scott Harris, ”Mr. Harris, I’ve finished eating, I’ll get busy now.”

”Sure, Young Madam, I’ll make you a cup of coffee later.” Scott Harris bent down as he began clearing the table.

”Thank you.”

After speaking, Enna Clark stepped towards the study...

Rhine’s meeting was at ten-thirty in the morning; it was already ten-twenty-five. She had to hurry to open her computer and prepare the necessary materials.
