Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1729: Chapter 1719: Can Feel the Kindness Toward Her

Scott Harris walked in and saw this scene: Lord Baron, who had always been aloof since childhood, was crouching by Ms. Clark’s bedside, focused on gently massaging the bruise on her wrist.

Sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating the man’s handsome profile, as if casting a glow upon his features.

Scott couldn’t help but be shaken!

Lord Baron could actually go to such lengths for Ms. Clark…

Although Lord Baron had a bad temper, one could truly sense his affection for Ms. Clark.

Just as he was astonished, the man crouching on the floor had already stood up. He regained his usual arrogant noble demeanor, “Who let you in?”

“Sorry, Lord Baron.” Scott immediately admitted his mistake, placing his hands respectfully in front of him, “President Lawrence has called again to urge us. Lord, shall we depart now?”

The Old Man is awake; why is he in such a hurry?!

Baron Lawrence felt a wave of irritation in his chest, furrowed his brows, and, bothered by this restlessness, waved his hand impatiently, “I know, inform them I’ll depart in a moment!”

“Yes, Lord Baron.”

Scott waited to accompany him.

But Baron Lawrence said, “You go out first!”

Scott exited silently, closing the door behind him.

Once Baron Lawrence watched him leave, he suddenly got onto the bed, supporting himself with his arms on either side of the sleeping person. His gaze was deep, and, as if driven by a sudden determination, he abruptly leaned down, capturing the sleeping person’s lips in a kiss.

In her slumber, Enna Clark felt not so hot and uncomfortable anymore. Just as she was about to relax her brows, a tingling, slightly painful sensation came from her lips.

“Hmm…” She moved her head uncomfortably.

As soon as she moved, her lip was bitten.

She groaned in pain, her brows furrowed tightly, resisting more and more.

Baron Lawrence’s lower abdomen abruptly tightened; her lips had that unique sweet taste, making him want to devour her, to force her eyes open, so all she could see was him, and her mouth could only call his name…

He knew what he seemed like right now.

But he just couldn’t control himself.

Liking her hurt to the point of pain.

It hurt so much he almost wanted to strangle her.

But the heart that hurt so much couldn’t bear to!

Damn it!

He recalled Enna Clark’s appearance when she talked about breaking up, and a surge of anger rose inexplicably in his chest. He opened his thin lips and bit her lower lip again.

“Tss—” Enna Clark was about to be driven to madness in her sleep.

But her eyelids felt as heavy as lead, refusing to open.

The oxygen in her chest was almost completely depleted, and she was on the verge of being unable to breathe…

In her extreme discomfort, she mustered all her strength to lift her hand and slapped forward—

“Smack!”

A loud sound echoed.

The whole world went silent.

Oxygen rushed back into her chest, and she could breathe freely again. Enna Clark furrowed her brows tightly, then slowly relaxed…

Only the man looking down from above had a stinging left cheek, his dark hawk-like eyes filled with a murderous intent. He gritted his teeth and growled, “Enna Clark!”

She actually dared to slap him!

Damn it, she must be pretending to sleep!

But the sleeping person heard nothing, giving no response whatsoever.

Baron Lawrence took a deep breath, suppressing the tight heat in his lower abdomen, and, with restraint, planted a hard kiss on her lips before getting up to leave.

If he didn’t leave now, he feared he wouldn’t be able to, no matter if she was asleep or still had a fever, he would simply press her onto the bed and force her!

At that time, she would undoubtedly see an even more frenzied side of him.

Therefore, he had to leave, for if he didn’t, she would only grow angrier.
