Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1710: Chapter 1700: Find him and explain face to face

Enna Clark felt a sense of powerlessness, crouched by the wall, wrapped her arms around her knees, and said weakly, “It’s nothing.”

Hayes saw her force a smile to deal with him and became more worried.

As for this matter, he was as much in the dark as he could be.

From his perspective, he understood why Young Master Lawrence was so angry. No man likes his girlfriend to care about another man.

But he also felt that there must be a reason why Miss took the trouble to find a doctor for Young Master Lyle.

He had been by Edward Jackson’s side since he was a child, trained as his right-hand man, and had no experience in romance. So he didn’t know how to handle such matters. Hayes thought for a moment and then whispered, “First Young Lady, why don’t you give Young Master Lawrence a call? It’s so late outside, and Young Master Lawrence going out alone… isn’t good.”

Upon hearing this, Enna Clark raised her head.

Hayes wasn’t sure if his suggestion was right, but he spoke his mind, “Young Master Lawrence has an injured hand, and if it’s left untreated, it could become infected.”

“After all, Young Master Lawrence drew so much blood for the young Miss this afternoon, his body is quite weak. If left unattended, the wound is likely to get infected.”

Enna Clark tightened her lips, took out her phone, hesitated for a moment, and dialed—

“Beep… beep… beep…”

The call went on until the phone automatically hung up, but no one answered.

She didn’t give up and dialed again.

Still the same situation, Baron Lawrence didn’t pick up!

Her breathing stopped, and her eyes darkened.

Hayes also heard the mechanical voice on the phone and was at a loss for words, unsure of how to comfort her.

He organized his thoughts and said, “First Young Lady, Young Master Lawrence might not have heard his phone ring, you don’t need to worry too much. Once Young Master Lawrence sees the missed calls, he’ll definitely return them. Would you like to rest for a bit?”

At this moment, Enna Clark suddenly stood up, clutching her phone tightly, with a resolved expression, “Hayes, take care of Gigi and Bobby for me, I’m going out for a while.”

Hayes was startled and asked her hurriedly, “First Young Lady, where are you going? It’s so late, let me go with you.”

“I’m going to find someone.”

She was still worried about Baron Lawrence, worried about the injury on his hand.

She didn’t want to argue with him, and if there was any misunderstanding between them, she wanted to find him first and explain it face-to-face.

Including the matter of Lyle Westbrook.

“I’ll accompany you.” Hayes was uneasy about her going out alone.

Enna Clark refused, “No need.”

She thought for a moment and said, “You stay and take care of Gigi and the others. I’ll have Mr. Harris accompany me, he has a better idea of where Baron Lawrence might go.”

Enna Clark acted swiftly this time, and after telling Hayes, she immediately went to find Scott Harris.

Scott Harris was with Lyle Westbrook and others, besides Lyle, there were some doctors in white coats.

When Enna Clark barged in, Scott Harris looked at her in surprise, “Ms. Clark, what’s happened? Why are you here?”

No wonder he asked this, Enna Clark’s complexion didn’t look good; her pale, heart-shaped face was anxious.

Lyle Westbrook naturally also noticed the difference in Enna Clark, and quicker than Scott Harris, he saw the bruise marks on the woman’s wrist.

Those marks should have been left by someone forcefully grabbing her wrist.

His brows furrowed immediately, and a cold gleam flashed in his Peach Blossom Eyes.
