Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1713: Chapter 1703: Took Medicine and Insisted on Finding Someone

He, a man, stood in front of the shelf studying menstrual pads for a long time before choosing one of each type. When he checked out, the cashier gave him a strange look.

Although it was something he should do as a housekeeper, Scott Harris still felt a bit awkward.

“I don’t know if I got the kind you need.”

“I’m sure you did.”

He bought more than twenty packs back, so how could he not have it?

Enna Clark took them with mixed feelings and went into the room. In the bathroom, she changed into a menstrual pad and felt much more at ease.

The full-length mirror in the bathroom just happened to reflect her slightly pale face. Enna stood in front of the mirror for a while, then blinked her eyes and patted her cheeks twice. Her originally pale face, thanks to her actions, finally looked a bit healthier.

Only then did she walk out of the bathroom, take off her dress, change into a comfortable shirt and jeans, and put on a long knitted sweater. She tied up her hair…

After finishing all this, she opened the bedroom door, walked to the living room, and said to Scott, who was waiting there, “Mr. Harris, let’s go out and look for him.”

Scott had just quickly learned from his phone about girls having their periods and knew that girls might have stomach pains during their period.

Hearing Enna say this, his first reaction was, “Ms. Clark, do you want to go? It’s late, why don’t I go look, and you stay at the villa and wait for my news.”

“I want to go with you,” Enna shook her head and said, “I must go with you, otherwise it would be useless even if you find him.”

Just judging from the way Baron Lawrence left the hospital, you could tell he was very angry.

Even if Scott found him, he probably wouldn’t pay him any attention.

So, she had to find him herself and explain things face to face.

Scott couldn’t win against her, so he could only go out with her.

“Ms. Clark, where should we start looking first?” Such a large Pacifica Island, looking aimlessly for a person is too difficult.

Even he didn’t know where to start looking first.

Enna was even less familiar with Pacifica, so she could only rely on her understanding of Baron to guess where to look, “Are there any bars or clubs near the hospital? Let’s start looking around there.”

“Yes.”

The car started moving smoothly…

Enna sat in the car and took out her phone, furrowed her brows, and continued dialing Baron Lawrence’s number.

“Beep beep beep… Sorry, the user you are calling is unavailable at the moment. We will notify the user of your call via text message later.”

Enna hung up and dialed again, “Sorry, the user you are calling is unavailable at the moment. Later…”

She hung up and dialed again… Each time after more than ten rings, a mechanical female voice would sound. Enna seemed to be locked in a battle with her phone, dialing again and again without getting tired, hanging up as soon as she heard the mechanical voice, and dialing again, repeatedly…

At the same time, somewhere, a phone kept ringing, its owner neither picking up nor turning it off, inexplicably preferring to let it ring endlessly without even glancing at it.

The next day.

The morning sunlight broke through the horizon and rose.

The morning on the island was filled with birdsong and fragrant flowers, and the scenery was bright and sunny. The sea made a rushing sound of tides, and the blue sea and the red sunrise formed a line, blending the sea and sky into one, making it breathtakingly beautiful.

Enna Clark came out of the bar, having not slept all night, and she looked extremely tired.

Scott Harris had stayed by her side the entire time, watching her go in with hope each time, only to come out disappointed again and again, and he couldn’t bear it anymore, “Ms. Clark, it’s morning, why don’t you go back to rest. I’ll take care of the rest of the search.”
