What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

As usual, we took an escort Request to guard a caravan heading towards Asttol City before leaving Billgaw City.

This time, we were simply guarding a merchant family going there to do business.

It was just a simple family of four with the father, mother and a teenage son and younger daughter who travel together as a family to do business.

Unfortunately, they only had one wagon that was reserved for their goods and the family members so we had to escort them on foot which wasn’t really a problem anyway since they had to move slowly from all the goods they were carrying in the wagon.

Apparently they came from Dolg Mining Town and were carrying rather expensive gold that they would be selling in Asttol City itself.

It was their first time trading such valuable stuff since they usually traded other stuff so instead of hiring several Mercenaries to protect them, they opted for a single, high quality group, as the father explained when I met him.

The family was pretty chill and the kids were quite well behaved too and they were paying quite a bit to have us escort them considering the fact that we were the only ones they hired to guard them.

The only downside was, of course, the fact that we need to walk on our own two feet for this job.

Since they were paying quite a bit for this, I wasn’t going to complain anyway.

We had already left the city for about an hour now and everything has been peaceful so far.

Speaking of which… I gave Carrey her own room last night since the girls and I… Well… Let’s just say we got really busy last night and I didn’t think letting Carrey find out about that was a good idea.

The girl in question seemed to be doing her job seriously as she kept looking around the area to look out for any potential enemies which I thought was rather cute.

It seems like she was especially eager to prove herself.

Perhaps it’s because the party was bigger than she thought it would be and she was concerned that she might not stand out enough for her purchase to be justified.

Maybe it’s also because I gave her the [Tornado Bow] that she felt even more pressured than normal?

Oh well… I believe it’s just a matter of her getting used to it so I chose not to say anything.

For our formation, I was bringing up the rear with Katsuki and Carrey while the rest of the girls separated themselves into two groups on either side of the wagon.

On the wagon itself, the father was at the front in the coachman’s seat while his family rode at the back of the wagon with their goods in between them.

I noticed that the daughter of the family seemed to be staring at me as we were walking for some reason.

Oh wait, maybe it’s because I’m carrying my egg that I’m still pouring my mana into.

As though to confirm my thoughts, she suddenly pointed at the egg in my hands, “Big sister? What is that?”

Her mother immediately pulled her hand away, “Millie! I apologise, miss! You don’t need to pay her any mind!”

I giggled, “It’s ok, I don’t mind. Your daughter is very cute~”

The little girl looked up at her mother, “Mama! She called me cute!”

The mother patted her head, “Yes, my dear. You are very cute.”

“Ehehehe~ So big sister! What is that?”

I smiled at her, “This is a dragon egg.”

The little girl gasped and her eyes sparkled, “Ehhh?! A dragon egg?! Wowwwww!”

Ehehe~ She really is cute. I kind of want to pet her head now~

The boy looked at me in surprise, “That’s a dragon egg? Really?”

I nodded, “That’s right. We found it in a Dungeon so I’m trying to hatch it.”

“You can hatch a dragon egg?!”

“I don’t know yet but that’s what I’m trying to do.”

The daughter leaned closer to the edge of the wagon, “Can I touch it?”

The mother quickly pulled the daughter back again, “Millie, no. Don’t disturb the nice sister, ok?”

“But mama… I want to touch the egg!”

I giggled, “Ehehehe, I’m sorry but the egg doesn’t like other people touching it. It will shock you if you do.”

“Eh… That’s not fair…” The little girl groaned.

The mother patted her on the head, “Now, now. The nice sister is doing work now so you shouldn’t disturb her, ok?”

“But big sister is so pretty! I wanna talk to big sister!”

The mother opened her mouth to admonish the little girl again but I interrupted her, “It’s ok if it’s just to talk, madam. I don’t mind.”

The mother shot me a look of gratitude and released her daughter, though she made sure to keep an eye on her so that she doesn’t try to jump out of the carriage.

The little girl took that chance to grin at me, “Big sister! I’m Millie! Nice to meet you!”

“Hello Millie. You can call me Aster!”

She threw her hands up, “Yay! Big sister Aster!”

Ahhh~ She’s so cute~

I turned to the teenage boy, “What about your brother here?”

He jumped a little, surprised that I actually called out to him but he managed to recover quickly and bowed his head.

“He… Hello, big sister Aster. My name is George. Nice to meet you.”

“Mmm~ Very nice to meet you as well, George. Is this the first time your family will be going to Asttol City?”

“Eh? Umm… No.”

Millie giggled, “Ehehehe! Papa likes to bring us there because there’s a lot of people! It’s bigger than… Ummm… Umm… Big wall city!”

The mother patted her head, “It’s Billgaw City my dear.”

“Ehhh… But that city has big walls so it’s big wall city! Has big sister been to big wall city before?”

“Mmm… That’s the city we set out from isn’t it? So yes, I have been there though I’m not that familiar with the city.”

“Wah! Then has big sister been to As… Ummm… As… To? Asto city!”

“Yes, I have been to Asttol City before, Millie.”

“Wahhh! Then big sister can play with us when we’re there! Papa and mama are always busy so play with us!”

The mother patted her head again while looking at me apologetically, “My apologies… But since you know my husband is a merchant selling gold… I have to accompany him to peddle our wares. So most of the time, the siblings would just explore the city on their own with the local children.”

Huh… Is that even safe?

Then again… They have been doing this more than once and the city is under Unerolia’s care so I guess it shouldn’t be that big of a problem?

I turned back to the little girl, “Well… If you don’t mind… I would also appreciate someone bringing me around the city too.”

Millie threw her hands up in the air again, “Yayyy! We can play with big sister!”

She really is cute~

I was just about to consider if I should reach up and pat her head when Katsuki came close to me and whispered, “Mistress… I smell monsters up ahead… I believe it’s Goblins.”

Ugh… Why are the roads always so unsafe when we’re using it?

I nodded at her, “Could you take a few of the others with you and take care of them before they spot us?”

It’s only because Millie is here and I thought that it wouldn’t be a good idea to let her witness the slaughter of some Goblins or else I would have just waited until the monsters reached us before killing them.

Katsuki seemed to have also understood why I had chosen that and did not protest against it.

“It will be done, Mistress. And I believe I will be able to handle it on my own.”

With that, my Inugami maid then disappeared from view and Millie noticed immediately.

“Wahhh! Where did small sister go? She disappeared! Is that magic?”

I giggled, “Ehehehe~ That’s right. That’s sister Katsuki, she’s very good at magic, like making herself disappear.”

“Wow!! That’s so cool! Is she invis… Invis… Umm… Cannot be seen?”

“Nope, she went somewhere else. Don’t worry, she’ll come back in a little bit.”

The mother seemed to know why Katsuki disappeared and gave me a worried look which I responded with just a slight shake of my head to let her know there was nothing for her to worry about.

Sure enough, not even a few seconds passed and Katsuki had reappeared beside me, looking completely normal like she hadn’t just ran ahead to kill some Goblins.

In fact, the only visible sign that she had gone to kill some Goblins was the small pouch she had secretly passed to me containing the Mana Crystals of the Goblins she had killed.

Good job, Katsuki~ Head pats for you!

Millie pouted and pointed at Katsuki, “Wahhh! Big sister! Millie wants that too!”

Oh… Guess this answers my question of whether I should be allowed to do that… And it looks like the mother doesn’t mind either…

So I went ahead to pat Millie’s head.

Ehehehe~ She’s so cute~
