What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

I had Katsuki guide us to one of the slave shops since she had this city mapped out while I was busy doing… Err… Other stuff that day. So she had a better idea of where everything in this city was as compared to me.

The shop she led us to looked to be a relatively modest two storey building located a short distance away from the Guild.

Jenna looked visibly nervous as we walked through the doors, the mage looking all around her as though she was afraid that something was going to pop out from the corner and surprise her or something.

It took me a while to realise that she most likely still thought we were doing something illegal and was afraid of police suddenly appearing to arrest her.

The entrance to the shop was a reception area and there was even a reception counter with a female receptionist seated there to greet us.

She stood up and bowed when she spotted us, “Welcome, dear customers, to Welca Slave Store. Do you have an appointment?”

“We do not, would that be a problem?” I asked.

“No problem at all, dear customer. I will see if there are any available traders right now that can attend to you. Please wait here.”

She left the counter and disappeared past a side door, leaving us alone in the reception room.

Jenna looked around nervously, “Erm… Miss Aster… I think I changed my mind after all… Maybe I should just… Not do this…”

“Jenna, relax. Just think of it as window shopping. Although… I guess it’s a bit late to ask but you do have money on you to spend, right?”

“Ermm… I do have an amount saved up so I suppose so?”

“How much do you have on you right now?”

“I think… I have a few Gold and a few Silver coins saved up?”

I blinked at her, “Jenna… That’s several thousand Creas you know?”

“Eh? Err… Yes?”

Hmm… Then again, Katsuki was valued at ten thousand Creas back then so I guess if she wants a slave on Katsuki’s level, she would need to be prepared to spend that much…

Ironically, despite being here for so long, I haven’t actually bought a slave for myself. Katsuki doesn’t count since she was basically just given to me from the start instead of being purchased, and I honestly don’t see her as a slave and more as my personal maid.

Before I could ask how Jenna got that much money to begin with, the receptionist returned with a woman who had her hair tied up in a ponytail and wearing a tight fitting black dress.

“Thank you for waiting, dear customers. This will be your trader for today.”

The woman stepped forward and bowed, “Good afternoon. I am Shamish, a pleasure to be serving you today.”

I curtised, “Well met Miss Shamis. I am Aster and this is Jenna. She will be the one looking for a slave today.”

“Please, there is no need to be so formal with me. Just Shamish will do, Lady Aster. Now, shall we?”

She stepped aside and gestured towards the door that she had come from.

I turned to Jenna and realised she was trying to hide her face under her pointed hat, so I just grabbed her wrist and started pulling her along with me to follow the slave trader.

Honestly… I don’t really need to do this for her but… What can I say? I was bored. And I felt a little responsible for her as a fellow Off-Worlder who was her senior in this World.

Also… Who knows? I might find a slave I fancy here and just buy them as well.

We walked through the door and we were greeted with a long corridor with different doors on both sides, which I assumed led to rooms where the slave traders could discuss business with potential clients.

My assumptions were proven right when she opened a specific door and we were guided into a well furnished sitting room with two couches facing each other and a tea table in between them.

Curiously, there was a hand bell laid on the tea table which I wondered what it was for.

We were guided to take a seat on one and Jenna and I sat down on it while Katsuki remained standing behind me.

The slave trader sat down opposite us and the fact that she slid her dress up to reveal her bare legs all the way up to her lower thigh was not lost on me.

Honestly, I didn’t really feel anything since I already have my girls but… Oh? What’s this? Jenna’s actually looking? I didn’t know she swung that way.

Shamish took out a notebook and pen, “Now then. I suppose we should get straight down to business? Is there a specific type of slave you might be looking for?”

Jenna was still staring at her legs so I spoke for her instead, “She’s a Mercenary so we’re looking for a slave that would be able to help her with that. Preferably someone who is able to support a mage.”

She nodded and scribbled something on her notebook, “I understand. So a combat slave it is then. Are there any specific preferences for the slave? Would you like a male, female, or futa?”

Ok, this one I can’t answer for her so I turned to look at the Off-Worlder mage.

She fidgeted, “… man…”

“Sorry? What?” I asked.

“Woman…” She repeated, a little louder.

I knew it, she really does like girls huh?

I turned back to Shamish, “Female would be preferred.”

“Understood, let me bring a few of our slaves here.”

She rang the bell and the door opened after a moment, allowing a well dressed man to enter the room.

She tore off the note and handed it to him, the man taking a moment to bow to us before leaving.

I guess that’s how they handle the slaves here? The trader first gets our requirements and hands it over to a runner who will then find the slaves who match the requirements and send them here?

Interesting arrangement they have here.

Shamish then turned back to us, “While we are waiting, I would like to ask if this is your first time owning a slave?”

Jenna seemed to be a little surprised at the question but quickly nodded her head.

“In that case, would you like a quick explanation about what to expect when owning a slave?”

The Off-Worlder mage looked at me and I just gave her a nod.

She turned back to look at Shamish and nodded her head shyly.

Shamish crossed her leg, letting the hem of her dress shift downwards to expose even more of her thigh which Jenna definitely took note of.

The slave trader pretended not to notice, “For our shop, we sell voluntary and debt slaves. Most debt slaves expect themselves to be released once they have earned back their debt though some may decide to remain as a permanent slave afterwards.”

From what I know, the reason for that is because these people who experienced being a slave ended up preferring the role of just obeying their owners and letting them take care of their living conditions that they just end up remaining slaves.

For Katsuki in particular… Her contract was that she remained my slave for life or until I deemed her unnecessary. Since the latter was never going to happen, that meant she would remain as mine for life.

Shamish continued, “For voluntary slaves, the conditions of their slavery will be negotiated between you and the slave themselves with us mediating it. Please note that while the collar will ensure that they will be unable to raise their hands against you, you are not allowed to abuse them or do anything to them outside of the contract without their consent. That means no rape as well or intentionally using them as a meat shield when fighting against monsters.”

Jenna seemed surprised by her words and she leaned to me to whisper, “Isn’t… Isn’t the conditions for being a slave really good?”

“Well… That also depends on the owner they get… If they get a bad owner, even though they aren’t being abused, they might only get really poor meals and sleep on the ground, that type of stuff… Not everyone is a good owner, you see…” I whispered back.

“Oh… Umm… I don’t intend to abuse anyone…” She explained a little unnecessarily.

I’m actually more worried that the slave would take advantage of her instead… Which is why I think my choice of accompanying her was the right choice.

Shamish waited for us to finish our private conversation before gesturing at Jenna, “For dear customer, if you intend to have the slave stay with you for a long time, I would suggest getting a voluntary slave instead of a debt slave. But that is of course, still up to you.”

Right then, a knock came from the door before it opened, allowing the man from before to come back in while leading several girls behind him.

I guess those must be the slaves they have picked for Jenna. Let’s see what they got~
