Reborn with a Space: Building a Fortune Amidst Famine

Chapter 94: 94 Revenge

On the mountaintop, the ground was littered with wild boars and wolves. Yuanyuan was waiting outside, thinking about the heavy scent of blood. Were there more animals coming?

The excitement had passed, and she felt cold. She stayed inside the space, yet still kept her attention on the outside.

By two in the afternoon, the outside animals still hadn’t come for the bodies, but it was getting late, so she decided to pack up.

Slowly descending the mountain, she reached the door, and immediately fury spread across her face. The lock of her house had been smashed open.

Yuanyuan wielded a thick stick in her hand, knowing exactly who was inside.

She rushed in and saw Su Liangliang coming out, swinging the stick at him.

Instinctively dodging backward, Su Liangliang avoided a blow to the head, but the stick hit his shoulder hard.

Yuanyuan had no reservations, and Su Liangliang screamed in pain.

Seeing Su Liangliang, Yuanyuan felt her body surge with both fear and hatred.

So the stick rained down on Su Liangliang like drops of rain.

He screamed, ”Dad, Mom, come quickly. This jinx is trying to kill me.”

Inside, Su Daqiang was sleeping. He had eaten his fill at noon, even if it was just cornbread and pickles; it still beat watery porridge.

After getting full, he waited for that harbinger of death, and drifted off to sleep without noticing.

Tian Xiaohua was the same. Su Liangliang only intended to go to the toilet, but got caught by Yuanyuan the moment he came out.

He was plain unlucky. Yuanyuan’s blows became harsher upon hearing his words.

Woken by their son’s wailing, Su Daqiang and his wife rushed out immediately.

Seeing that harbinger of doom dare to hit their beloved son, Tian Xiaohua charged, cursing, ”You damned jinx, how dare you hit him? Watch as I beat you to death.”

Yuanyuan thought it was a fine time. By then, Su Liangliang had been beaten to the ground, and Yuanyuan’s stick fell directly on Tian Xiaohua, her rage turning her eyes red.

Tian Xiaohua hadn’t expected Yuanyuan to dare hit her, but the blow landed squarely.

Yuanyuan was strong, and Tian Xiaohua took the hit solidly. Su Daqiang stood on the side initially without moving, but seeing Tian Xiaohua being beaten so badly...

”Brutal girl, stop it.”

Yuanyuan completely ignored him, swinging the stick down even faster.

The intense look in the girl’s eyes filled Su Daqiang with fear; her eyes were red, and she seemed deranged.

Tian Xiaohua couldn’t hold on and collapsed to the ground.

Su Daqiang couldn’t take it anymore, seeing his wife and son lying there moaning.

If it were someone else, Su Daqiang might truly not dare to act, but he figured this was his own daughter, which gave him some courage.

”You damned jinx! How dare you hit your mother and brother?”

Yuanyuan saw that coward merely standing aside, not stepping in, and decided, well, since you won’t come over, I will go to you.

Yuanyuan ran up, swinging the stick directly at him.

After taking a hit, as Su Daqiang was a grown man, he ran off. Had that jinx gone crazy?

It was too scary, so he sprinted all the way to Yang Hongwen’s house.

”Big brother, big brother, that damned jinx has gone mad. She hit her mom and Liangliang; she even hit me just now.”

He hadn’t even entered the house before he started shouting loudly.

Inside, Yang Hongwen was fretting over issues with his wife and Yang Minggang’s couple. Discussions with Hu Chunhua needed more people present due to their fears of rumors.

All four heard Su Daqiang’s words, Hu Chunhua and Xu Chunjiao immediately rushed outside, ignoring the running Su Daqiang.

Yang Hongwen and the other two men went out as well, seeing Su Daqiang in such a pathetic state, they scorned him.

Hu Chunhua and Xu Chunjiao ran towards Yuanyuan’s house.

At the door, they saw the smashed lock and understood what had made the girl so angry.

There they saw Yuanyuan with one foot on Su Liangliang, holding a stick in her hand.

”Yuanyuan.”

”Girl.”

As they rushed over, they saw the girl with eyes wide open, her face distorted with emotion.

”Girl, it’s okay now. We’re here. We’ll stand up for you. Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid,” Xu Chunjiao comforted Yuanyuan but didn’t try to take her stick, knowing it was her only reassurance.

Hu Chunhua also reacted, ”Yuanyuan, don’t be afraid. It’s okay; you don’t recognize them, right? They’re your mother and your brother.”

A string of onlookers followed behind them.

Hearing the village chief’s wife and the women’s committee director talk, the crowd widened their eyes; now that was blatant lying.

However, Su Daqiang and his wife didn’t have good reputations; people understood more than was shown. Otherwise, how could Yuanyuan have ignored them so easily? People are quite ignorant nowadays.

”Help! Help! That damned jinx wants to kill people.”

Tian Xiaohua saw people coming and opened her mouth to make a fuss again.

Yuanyuan’s stick slammed into the ground right beside Tian Xiaohua’s face, and she went quiet, too scared to utter another word.

”Tian Xiaohua, you cheap woman, I’ve never heard of something like this; speaking about your own daughter like that. You’re not fit to be a mother,” Hu Chunhua screamed curses.

The crowd gathered for the spectacle, and many agreed with Hu Chunhua’s words.

No one would think a parent would curse and yell like this; her own mother could say such things.

By then, Yang Hongwen and his two companions had arrived.

Seeing the smashed lock, he spoke, ”Su Daqiang, remember I told you to wait for the girl to come back. You broke open her door like this. If she goes to the police, you’ll all be arrested; don’t tell me you’re her parents;

when the police ask, I’ll state directly that you abandoned her without a care for her life, leaving her behind, and the whole village can testify.”

”Big brother, why are you saying this?”

”Because you’ve done things not even animals would do,” Yang Hongwen mercilessly retorted, not sparing Su Daqiang any face.

Su Daqiang felt uncertain in his heart. Seeing the ruthlessness in the girl’s actions made him realize she was no longer that obedient, submissive daughter.

Yang Hongwen walked up to Yuanyuan, ”Girl, let them go. We’re here for you. The hardships you’ve endured these years, we all know. When you need us to testify, we’ll surely testify.”

Yuanyuan felt exhausted but oddly relieved. She avenged that silly girl; now she could truly let go, could she not?
