My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 215: Chapter 128: Seclusion

”There’s something else?”

Qin Fang’s eyes lit up, and he quickly asked what it was.

But his master said he didn’t know either. He had only spotted a light source around a corner fifty-nine meters in, but he couldn’t see clearly what it was...

Because he couldn’t go any farther.

”This place is truly bizarre. The cold air intensifies layer by layer. Even I can only make it to the sixty-meter mark... and I can’t stay for long. I dare not venture deeper.”

His master was also a little shaken.

His Cultivation was at the Peak of Anjin, not far from Huajin.

Although he was older now and his physical functions had declined somewhat... being forced back by the cold like this was a first for him.

His master’s words made Qin Fang nod. He had already suspected there was something else inside, and his master’s account only confirmed his theory.

The master and disciple returned to the stone bowl and saw that about one more drop of the mysterious liquid had collected inside.

”Master, this mysterious liquid grants resistance to poison. You didn’t have much before. You should drink this drop.”

Now that they were settling down below Old Ox Back, they would definitely be coming up to fish for bees often. Who could guarantee there would never be an accident?

It was best for everyone to have some resistance to poison.

His master fell silent for a moment at his words but finally nodded...

He knew this wasn’t the time for refusal.

Qin Fang used a spoon he carried to scoop out the liquid, poured it into a Porcelain Bottle, and then handed it to his master.

After his master took it, the two of them returned to the cave entrance.

His senior brother, who was waiting outside, hurriedly asked about the situation.

After a brief explanation, his senior brother was also completely shocked...

Finally, his senior brother grew curious about how Qin Fang ”fished” for the bees.

So, Qin Fang led his master and senior brother up Old Ox Back. They eventually reached the spot where he usually fished for bees. He pointed to a small hole in the cliff face, explaining that it led to the cave with the Treasure Plant and was often guarded by Giant Bees.

He then explained in detail what he used for bait and his usual methods...

...Qin Fang had, of course, brought things like the Poison Gland and Bee Venom with him this time.

”The Bee Meat tastes incredible, and its effects are even better than a Qi Blood Pill’s...”

Qin Fang concluded.

Hearing that it was even more effective than a Qi Blood Pill, both his master and senior brother were stunned, but they eventually let out a soft breath and nodded.

...They didn’t hold it against Qin Fang for not telling them about this sooner.

In fact, putting themselves in his shoes... if they had found such a place, they might not have been so open about sharing it with others either.

...Everyone has their own secrets and selfish desires.

That’s perfectly normal.

They weren’t saints themselves.

At a critical time like this, the fact that Qin Fang had gone all the way to the county seat to find them, helped them escape, and was now willing to share this treasure land with them, already spoke volumes about how much he valued them.

Why quibble?

Besides... although Qin Fang hadn’t said anything, Zhou Xing, who had just consumed the mysterious liquid again, knew that his own breakthrough to Anjin was thanks to Qin Fang’s secret help.

His master had also noticed the sudden changes in his body recently... and eventually learned that Qin Fang was secretly responsible...

The three of them watched for a little while longer before heading down the mountain and returning to their shelter.

The mistress was already asleep with the two girls. Monkey and Xiao Qi were talking quietly in the camp, mostly discussing the future. Xile also had its own little nest... made from some spare bedding, where it was curled up and yawning.

Seeing the three return, Xiao Qi and Monkey quickly stood up and greeted them respectfully. Qin Fang waved his hand, signaling for them to stay put. Only then did the master and his two disciples have a chance to discuss the current situation in the county and Prefecture City.

”There’s been no reply to any of the five letters. Either something has indeed happened in the Prefecture City, or something has happened to Shuang Ci herself.”

Wu Shuangci was his senior sister’s name.

A worried look was unavoidable on his master’s face. ”But the Mysterious Power is very active right now. With our strength, there’s nothing we can do. It’s also inconvenient to travel with your mistress and the others... For now, we can only hide here and wait to see how things develop before deciding on our next move.”

”If they keep acting like this, no matter how secretive they are, the Court will eventually be alerted... They can’t possibly linger here forever.”

His master’s thoughts mirrored Qin Fang’s, so he nodded upon hearing this.

His master looked at the silent senior brother and sighed. ”I know what you’re thinking, but things being as they are, acting rashly will only lead to pointless sacrifice. Preserve yourself for the future.”

His senior brother was silent for a long time. Finally, he let out a soft sigh and nodded lightly. ”I understand, Master.”

His master said no more, just gave a slight nod.

They ultimately decided to lay low here for the time being and observe the situation.

”Alright, let’s get some sleep. We have work to do tomorrow,” his master said finally.

Right now, the shelter only had a floor. Making do for a night or two was fine.

But it wouldn’t be acceptable for long.

Being so close to the waterfall, the air was too damp. They had to build a roof and walls, and even things like door flaps... only then could they live here long-term.

...With the Mysterious Power active outside, there was no telling how long they’d have to stay. They naturally had to prepare for a long-term residence.

That night, the men slept on the floorboards.

Qin Fang and the others had been traveling for two days and were exhausted.

Xiao Qi and Xiao Jiu had also been fleeing for their lives for two days and were just as tired.

Before long, thunderous snores filled the air.

Early the next morning, the master and his two disciples awoke. As Anjin Martial Artists, their recovery abilities were exceptionally fast.
