THE GOD EATER

The main reason the refurbished Domain Power System costs so much to use is that it must contend with Entropy. Entropy is disorder. It is harmful, and when an entity, object, or system reaches the limit of Entropy that it can withstand, it will fall apart.

For the rest of the world, the backlash of Entropy is unavoidable. When they produce power, interact with others, or interact with the world, they will produce Entropy.

Even he can’t avoid Entropy completely. If someone attacks him, he will take on Entropy. If he falls, collides with an object, or is forced to give birth to a son through an egg that rips a chunk of his divinity away, he will be forced to take on Entropy.

The only form of Entropy he can avoid is the Entropy produced from producing power within himself and interacting with the world with his power. This is why he was willing to bear the burden of Entropy of the Domain Power System.

The lever is the one producing power, and it is producing power through the Hunting Form Metac in his true body, so he doesn’t have to take on any Entropy. His disciples don’t have to take on any Entropy either, because the Domain Power Metac they use is only an output that amplifies their normal power output.

Theoretically, he can amplify his disciples’ output by up to his maximum Domain Power. Since his current Domain Power is 43.1 billion square kilometers, he can amplify the power of his mortal disciples up to 43,100,000,000 units, which is far above what any mortal can produce.

The maximum power of mortals is usually between 100,000 units and 1,000,000 units. So even a Gemini youngling who just established a small world and has a Domain Power of 10 million can amplify anything their disciples throw at them.

So their main problem with the Domain Power System remains the cost of amplifying their disciples’ power, which is the Energy cost and Entropy cost. Of the two, the Entropy cost is the most important, as they can die if they take on too much Entropy.

This made him shake his head and say, ”Even being part of a Divine Court won’t solve this problem. Unless they limit the usage of the Domain Power System to 200 operations per second, the cost of running it will bankrupt the Dao Lord.”

”Without a doubt, one Gemini can’t overthrow the Olympic Sect with this Domain Power System. But with ten thousand of them using this, they will severely dilute the supremacy of the Olympic Sect.”

”It is like what is happening in my Divine Court now. The Olympic Sect’s dominance will no longer be irrefutable. They will still be the best, but many competitors will dilute our prestige and divert mortal recruits away from them.”

”Clearly, the Domain Power System isn’t as unique as I thought it to be. It seems I am not as good as I believed.”

Then his eyes became fierce as he said, ”In that case, let’s up the ante. Let’s keep pushing the boundary of what’s possible and see how far along they can keep pace with me.”

He wasn’t willing to give up just because someone copied the system he created. In fact, he was more determined than ever to see how much the Geminis could accomplish.

’You know what? Their approach has given me an idea. What if I use other kinds of Supreme Metacs to extend the power of my disciples?’

’It seems the Hunting Form Metac isn’t the only one that can be used to enhance the power of disciples. What if I use something like the Enslavement System to enhance their power? Will the effect be different, and can I combine the different effects for more power boost’

He also thought about creating a Celestial Artifact to serve as the lever. But after considering it for a long while, he shook his head, thinking, ’Reducing the impact of Entropy by increasing the efficiency and offloading it to a Celestial Artifact is for losers.’

That’s what he thought deep within his heart and didn’t dare to say out loud. In fact, he only dared to think about it with his mind within the Spark of Power.

He has always been wary of the Gemini watching him and paying attention to his actions ever since the guardian found him as soon as he ascended to the upper realm.

The guardian found him not once, but every time he ascended. So he always suspected that the Geminis have a way to find him easily.

His suspicion was confirmed when the guardian immediately found him the first time he used the Rewind Metac in the upper realm and was still alive even though he didn’t have any Supreme Metacs in his godhead.

Then he heard from the Gemini younglings that their caretakers tracked their actions in the lower realm and used it to grade their performance and position on a leaderboard. Since the so-called caretakers could monitor the actions of the Gemini younglings, he was sure that they would be able to keep track of him too.

But what made him truly certain his movements were being watched and restricted was his identity as a breeding beast for the Geminis.

From the little he knew about the Geminis, he was sure that they wouldn’t let him leave the Sea of Worlds easily. In fact, he expected that they would always keep their eye on him to make sure that he didn’t try to escape his duty as a father.

For these reasons, he made the 147 divine beings swear an oath not to tell anyone what he did for them. If the truth about how he helped the divine beings become Rank 8 were ever exposed, it would either be because one of the divine beings broke their oath, or because someone was watching him all the time and could even see what he did in the lower realm.
