THE GOD EATER

”Have you heard about the Olympic Medals and how he uses them to exchange for Supreme Metac? If you have, then you should know that even if he can’t comprehend a new Cosmic Dao, he can surely buy it,” Onslaught said with a deranged look in his eyes.

”And if he can’t buy it, he can kill someone to acquire it. Just look at how fast he is growing.”

”He is already unbeatable in the lower realm, so it will be very easy for him to kill someone’s avatar and take their Cosmic Supreme Metac.”

”Not that he needs to do any work to bet a Cosmic Supreme Metac. I heard he has one for sale in his Divine Court. If he can sell it, surely he can use it.”

”Alright, we’ve heard you. Your life is on the line. No one is refuting that,” the black eagle said, interrupting him.

”But you still have time. Even if Ragnarok is extremely talented and can acquire ten percent efficiency in one year for each of the divinities within his Supreme Metac, it will still take him 27 years to reach the requirements for a second star.”

The swordsman also said, ”And that’s if he is smarter than you. If he is anything like you, then he will take 81 years.”

”I doubt he is smarter than a Gemini and has more resources than us. So it should take him a lot more than 81 years. In that case, you still have a lot of time to kill him.”

Onslaught wanted to argue some more, but the spider-monkey interrupted him, saying, ”How about this? In ten months, when we can attack each other, I will kill him for you.”

Then it asked Onslaught, ”Are you satisfied?”

”Fine,” Onslaught said begrudgingly.

The spider-monkey nodded in satisfaction and said, ”In that case, let’s resume our work. What is the good news you were about to mention?”

Onslaught said in reply, ”The good news is that we successfully built the Domain Power System. The Wolf Pack Divine Metac that I got from the Wolf Race Dao worked well. Now I can lend my disciples power from my Domain.”

Upon hearing this, the black scholar young human who was wearing an optical artifact in the shape of a pair of glasses pushed the glasses up the bridge of his nose and said, ”That’s good ”

”In fact, it is very good news. It is so good, I now have to wonder what the bad news could be.”

The black swordsman with the sword on his back said, ”That’s true. We’ve already achieved what we set out to do. What could be bad about it?”

”If you would just give me time to speak, you would know what the bad news is,” Onslaught said, sneering at them.

”Is your father this snarky? No wonder everyone hates him,” the black eagle said in understanding.

”That’s not true. No one likes him because he is too powerful and meddlesome,” the scholarly young man corrected sagely.

”I heard he duped my father out of some divine beings. They were 9 Rank 8 cultivators and about 53 divine beings.”

”That’s a total of 62 divine beings. If you lost that many powerful servants, you would hate Ragnarok no matter how pleasant his personality is.”

”That’s true,” the black barbarian asked. ”How did he manage it again?”

”The consensus is that he got a bunch of Gemini helpers to help switch the pathways of the divine beings. But I am skeptical,” the young scholar replied.

”It seems what I have to say isn’t important,” Onslaught said, grumbling. ”All anyone wants to talk about is what my father did or what he said.”

The eagle nodded in agreement and said, ”You’re right. After all, we’re literally here working together to replicate something your father did.”

”Let Onslaught speak about the bad news, please,” one of the other eleven, a large black tortoise who looked like a mountain, said in irritation.

Everyone quieted down because of this plea, allowing Onslaught to say, ”The bad news is that this artifact will kill me or anyone who dares to use it.”

”What do you mean?” the black spider-monkey hybrid asked in confusion.

”I mean, each use of the Domain Power Metac will produce Entropy. From my calculations, every use can create up to 1 unit of Entropy,” Onslaught answered in a grave voice.

”My current Entropy capacity is 1,620,900 units. I’ve used up some of it, but even if I haven’t and I can withstand 100% of it, this Domain Power System can only be used 1,620,900 times before I die.”

”Even if I join a Divine Mountain and use it to raise my Authority to 20 units before using my increased Authority to expand my capacity for Entropy, the system will still be limited to 32,418,000 operations before it falls apart and I fall apart.”

”32,418,000 times is too small for a sect to use,” the barbarian said with a frown. ”If a disciple uses it an average of ten times a day, that means just 3.2 million disciples will be enough to overload the system in one day. That’s too poor.”

”What if we put restrictions on it? Like limiting the usage to once per day,” the young swordsman asked. ”Or we should put a price on it that will discourage the disciples from using it.”

”Even if we did that, it won’t be nearly as effective as the one Ragnarok is running,” the eagle said, shaking its head.

”How did Ragnarok manage to do it then?” the black spider-monkey asked. ”What did he do that makes his system such a success?”

When he asked, he looked to Onslaught for an answer. Everyone else also turned to Onslaught for the solution.

This made Onslaught grumble, saying, ”It is always Ragnarok this. Ragnarok that.”

”Everywhere I go, I hear Ragnarok is great. Everyone says he is strong. They say he is so strong he can do anything.”
