Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 1054: Self Within the World

ʼI would assume most Legendary Spirit Lords reach that level by using their greatest strength. Their greatest strength is the very thing that makes them special. Without some outstanding aspect, they wouldnʼt be able to reach such a level.ʼ

ʼWhatʼs my greatest strength?ʼ

Kyle thought about his Laws. ʼI probably know more Laws than almost every other Spirit Lord. I also think I can comprehend all the Major Elements as a Spirit Lord. Which Spirit Lord knows every single Elemental Law up to and including the Level Six Laws? Maybe there are some freaks out there that also know all of these Laws, but I donʼt think there are many.ʼ

Kyle thought about his Momentum. ʼMy Momentum also hasnʼt been an issue for a long while. The constant danger and pain have increased it to a crazy level. Most likely, there are not many Spirit Lords with more powerful Momenta.ʼ

Kyle thought about his Imposing Law. ʼMy own Imposing Law has reached 90%, while my Elementalʼs Imposing Law has reached 93%. There might be some isolated freak Seekers that have similar achievements, but there canʼt possibly be many of them.ʼ

Kyle thought about his Affinities. ʼItʼs basically forbidden to have that many Affinities, but if I can break the rules, why canʼt others? The presence in the Demon Car managed to reforge my Spirit, and it was just a discarded consciousness that was used to run a disposable biological machine. Mannyʼs mysterious Organization might have people who also have all Affinities.ʼ

ʼI can probably use any of these things to become a Legendary Spirit Lord, but itʼs also possible that none of them will work. What fits? Whatʼs the best course of action?ʼ

As Kyle thought about his strengths, he also thought back to the times he had reached the Legendary Realms.

After some time, he noticed a pattern.

ʼFour Realms that focus on only one Aspect. The Primal Realm focuses on the body. The Compression Realm focuses on the Center. The Wisdom Fire Realm focuses on the mind. The Domain Realm focuses on the Spirit.ʼ
ʼThe strengths of Seekers are usually divided into two categories.ʼ

ʼWe have the cerebral Seekers who listen to logic. They are exceptionally talented with their Centers and minds.ʼ

ʼWe have the feeling Seekers who listen to their instincts. They are exceptionally talented with their bodies and Souls.ʼ

ʼIʼm definitely more of a feeling Seeker, but I can also listen to my logic.ʼ

ʼIn the Primal Realm, I relied on my Imposing Law to become Legendary. Creating an Imposing Law this early requires the help of instincts. After all, you have to create something without being able to watch and analyze it first. You can analyze all of the other Laws by looking at them, but you canʼt analyze something that doesnʼt exist.ʼ

ʼIn the Compression Realm, I relied on the speed of my mind to become Legendary. I needed a Complex Level Five Law to become a Unique Crusher, and then, I needed to find a way to leave a large impact on the world. I mean, I didnʼt do it in that order, but thatʼs basically how itʼs supposed to be done. You gotta be real smart to become Unique, and then you need to use your power to leave a large impact.ʼ

ʼIn the Wisdom Fire Realm, I relied on the determination of my mind. If you just listen to your feelings, you wonʼt become a Legendary Sage. You need a powerful and determined mind. You need to be able to keep your urges under control.ʼ

ʼNow, Iʼm in the Domain Realm. Iʼve used both aspects of my mind already to become Legendary. I used the speed and the determination of my mind. Iʼve cranked the speed of my mind to the peak and kept it running indefinitely with my determination. You could say both aspects have combined into something you could call output. Iʼve basically maximized my cerebral performance.ʼ

ʼBut Iʼve only used one aspect of my instincts. Iʼve listened to my instincts and done the things they said were right. This allowed my power to progress to the current level.ʼ

ʼIs there a second aspect of my instincts? Is there something that my instincts are telling me that I have not done yet?ʼ

Kyle couldnʼt think of anything.

ʼWhat feels right? What have my instincts told me?ʼ

Kyle listened to his feelings, and moments later, one of the feelings became noticeably stronger.

Regret.

As he analyzed his regret, he noticed a conflict between his mind and his instincts.

ʼI believe Iʼve done the right things,ʼ he thought. ʼYou canʼt reach my level of power without making the correct choice in the majority of cases. Everything Iʼve done has led me to my current position. Chances are that changing past decisions would lead to a worse result.ʼ

ʼAnd yet, I donʼt feel like thatʼs true. I regret not being more open with my friends. I regret not accepting Star Genesisʼ initial advances. I regret lying to them. I regret not being able to save Manny and Star Genesis.ʼ

ʼRegret...ʼ

ʼI see,ʼ Kyle thought as he closed his eyes. ʼWhen my instincts concern myself, I do not regret any of my choices. It has almost always worked out whenever I listened to them while training.ʼ

ʼI only regret things that involve others.ʼ

ʼFeelings and instincts. Thatʼs the other aspect. One aspect is about myself, while the other is about my surroundings.ʼ

ʼOne aspect involves my body. My body is the vehicle with which I navigate the world. I use my body to influence the world. My body represents my existence in the wider world.ʼ

ʼIt is the self within the world.ʼ

ʼThe other aspect involves my Spirit. My Spirit is not how I navigate the world. Instead, I use my Spirit to analyze and feel the world. My Spirit rarely focuses on the insides of my existence.ʼ

ʼIt is the world within the self.ʼ

ʼI have listened to my instincts when it concerns reaching my goals...ʼ

ʼBut I have rarely listened to it when it concerns choosing my goals.ʼ

ʼIt was always my mind that chose my goals. Surviving and growing stronger. I wanted to do what was right.ʼ

ʼBut thatʼs the problem. I chose to do what I thought was right. I didnʼt choose to do what I felt was right.ʼ

Kyle remembered when Overlord Stygian and Overlord Cloudhorn had died.

It had been a necessary sacrifice. Sacrificing them was the optimal strategy to reach the greater goal.

ʼBut it felt horrible. I didnʼt want to sacrifice them.ʼ

A moment later, a small smile appeared on Kyleʼs face as he remembered saving Sebastian.

ʼThe smart choice would have been to abandon him.ʼ

ʼWhen I made the right decision, I felt regret. When I made the wrong decision, I felt content.ʼ

ʼThe mind focuses on the internal, while the Spirit focuses on the external. If you always do what your mind tells you to do, you will live long and will become strong. If you always listen to your Spirit, you will die very quickly since you wonʼt be making a lot of smart choices.ʼ

ʼBut now is not the time for my mind to talk. Iʼm in the Domain Realm. This is all about the Spirit. Iʼve listened to my mind for long enough.ʼ

All the sacrifices shot through Kyleʼs mind again.

And then, his mind reached the latest potential sacrifice, Sebastian.

ʼThat time, Iʼve listened to my Spirit. Iʼve used the other aspect of my Spirit.ʼ

ʼThe outside.ʼ

ʼAnd what did I use to save Sebastian?ʼ

Kyle looked at his Karmic Lines.

ʼThe world within the self.ʼ

ʼMy connections with other people.ʼ

Kyle looked at his Spirit.

For just a moment, he felt like he could see the very fabric of the Spirit Space.

Everyone was connected.

The Spirit was within the world, but the world was also within the Spirit.

BOOOOM!

Realization washed over Kyle as several concepts combined.

He finally understood it.

ʼKarma,ʼ Kyle thought.

ʼThe Law of Karmic Causality.ʼ

ʼI understand it now.ʼ

ʼI know what I must do to become a Legendary Spirit Lord.ʼ
